Thank you! Great video. And the fact you were able to do this one handed whilst filming convinced my husband that he had a chance of achieving this himself with both hands!
Thank you for posting this. I decided to clean our toilet seat today whilst Hubby out for the day and after I took it apart I realised I didn’t understand how to put it back together. Thankfully your video came to the rescue. Gratefully yours a 50 something Grandmother 👍
Thanx Okunrin... As do not have the install instructions, newly moved into the house, your video helped me understand that the "Pins" must be at the back. As they were not, I removed and re-installed and is working much better now. Great job videoing and doing the work at the same time.
Installing a toilet seat with one hand! Well done, sir. I'm glad I found this video. I got me one of these too. Very helpful indeed. The square at the back (maybe with brand name) seems to be a quick release button to clean the seat.
Thank you for posting this. Information is so unclear out there whether seats fit toilets with only top screws accessible. I’m now going to buy this exact seat so I can’t go wrong. Thanks again.
Great video. I know what you mean about Screwfix. I took 2 different sized screws that I needed, when I asked if they had any identical ones the guy behind the counter looking at them in a puzzled manner and said no we don't sell them without even consulting his colleagues. I ended up going to my local ironmonger and got exactly what I needed. Screwfix should change their name to Nutcases! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us. Take care, Steve. 👍👍
I had s CEDO toilet seat which came with minimum instructions and their you tube video is next to useless. Took me just 10 minutes after watching yours. Many thanks.
Yes!!! I bought a 2-in-1 kid/adult size & it came with the almost exact SAME screw things just and every time I would put the seat on, left side came slightly up so I thought ok, what did I do wrong? I tried to take it off to fix it & the right side kept hanging up. I thought... I'm going to start drinking soon..... Hopefully finished soon....
Thankbyou so much! Mine didn't have instructions,i did it in 3 minutes, your video was a good guide to have a clue. You are wonderful! Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷
Thank you! Just got my new cover but struggling to install about 15minutes then searched on google how to install this one, you showed up and followed your instruction finally did!
I thought i'd bought the wrong size seat as the holes on it dont match my toilet bowl, Then i found your video, and now its fitted. You sir are the Man! Thank you :P
Over 1 year I've been search for a toilet seat like this. B&Q assistants was no help😔😡Thank you so much for this video. Being a single parent I needed this 😌
Thank u for uploading and sharing this. You state that the bolts were still rolling what u need to do is use your left hand to hold 05 whilst screwing in bolts. That's how u obtained the the firmness otherwise the toilet seat will move when sat on and this will the mechanism.
Big help this video. My plug wouldn't go in with ease like yours but seeing yours go in the way it did encouraged me to put a bit of pressure to force it through the hole. Basic DIY not my thing. Thanks for posting this video
Thank you so much for this video. We have a similar toilet and need to replace the toilet seat. But I couldn't understand how it was attached because we have only ever had ones that used bolts with nuts that you tightened from underneath. NOW I understand - it's a plastic sinker! Finally an improved toilet seat installation.
Thank you Okunrin. The instructions with the one I bought in Aldi were s**te and only for your great instructions I would have put my head down the toilet and flushed in frustration!
Thanks for the video, I have this seat but still loose, and when the seat is up it can wobble side to side. Any tips on fixing this please. The screws are as tight as they go. Thanks
Just for the record you can fit any toilet seat to one of those you can purchase (nylon well nuts) online, you will struggle to find in store but there basically the wall plug looking part they also come in rubber for water tight fitment
Newer versions of this toilet seat use rubber parts to insert the screws into. Make sure the wider part of the rubber with the lip is inserted into the top section of the holes rather than the other way.
Okunrin, bought one'eh these,, 'fit it', thru d instructions away... lid gets loose, 😭, 'head gets 'wrecked, .:-:-:. try'neh fix'it...- I never thought to remove deh 'silver covers', to tighten deh screws.😩.. - you to duh rescue!... *😎¿😎*. Thanks... Dave, from Dublin.
Thanks for the video Okunrin and I can't wait to get mine fitted. I have a problem where the expansion plugs are a little too big for the existing pan holes and they won't even hammer through. I don't want to return the seat and I'm wondering if there is anything else that I could use to do the job instead of the supplied expansion plugs. Any ideas anyone? :)
This is a ‘D’ style toilet and you should fit a ‘D’ style toilet seat to it not oval style as in the video. Fitting the wrong shape means not only just looks wrong but the supports under the seat may not make proper contact with the ceramic toilet.
Lovely video - thanks mate. We have one similar but an under fix one. Trouble is - it's really easy to lift off, not securely in place at all. Makes me sad🙁
Hi Is it possible the toilet seats are smaller then the toilet ? I mean it’s practically smaller and wondering if that’s normal? Because what I see here is the seat fit perfectly.
How do you fix the slow close on the top seat of it starts slamming? there’s no way to get inside these modern lids to adjust anything so I’m a bit perplexed. Thanks.
I've got this, but my seat doesn't tighten and keeps moving when sat on it 🤦♀️ really not happy and it doesn't soft close. I have done everything in this video. I just don't know where I'm going wrong
@@okunrin3 Ok ! I will subscribe. I am a 69 year old woman that got this pretty toilet seat and did not understand how to put it together, it did not come with instruction and I got it for $6 dollar new and it cost $110.00. I thank you again. :)

Wrong way. 1. Measure, 2. tighten but still allow movement so you can you can turn it but it doesnt flop around. 3. Put on loo seat adjusting separation until it fits. Make sure loo seat sits square. 4. Carefully remove seat so the fixings don't move 5. Fully tighten 6. Place on chrome circles 7. Replace seat
Great video 👊🏾 What I have realised is 'the metal pins'are NOT universal!! Be careful when ordering replacement 'fittings' it has been trial an error for me, as some display one certain style, and send another 😢🙏🏽
The white plastic bolt holder which sets into the toilet does not fit the hole that is already there. Can I cut the top from the bottom and then screw the bolt through the top part of the plastic holder and then through the other part of it from underneath. Alternatively can I just buy a different type of plastic bolt holder ?
is that the right shape toilet seat for the bowl? it looks more like a rectangular bowl, not quite the same shape as the seat you have, I could be wrong but I did the same job and had to search to get a seat that fitted nicely on the bowl. :-) so more like a D shape seat?
