crying right now, can't hide it. His story made me remember 3 years ago when I had no one, no accommodation, and I was sick. my clothes and properties were outside for months under the rain and sun, the only person who accommodated me for one night ask me for sex, I refused and he chased me out. Today am a final year student and have a roof over my head, no more sleeping in lecture rooms and uncompleted building struggling to fight cold. thank you lord, thank you Jesus. My eyes are so filled with tears that am suffering from headache ryt now.

The most sad thing about this performance is that he had no one who could jump for his success, who could run towards him and hug him, who could really share his success and celebration... it was very sad to see him walking alone sadly at the end of video even when he got succeeded.... I never understood a word of the lyrics of the song, but he has delivered the emotion of the song perfectly well. Public reaction to the song speaks for itself. I came here after a lecture from a pastor. He made us watch this and I had a goosebumps by his singing voice. Having that talent and courage to enter such stage is just amazing. Its just making me emotional that there was no one to celebrate his steps with him. I wonder where he is at this moment.
I've been surprised when people sang opera before but not like this. There have been contestants who've hardships or were handicapped. They were ebullient but they had support, family. But this young man...I think I started crying before the judges. Abandoned, attacked and sold yet there he is. If there was ever an embodiment of the triumph of the human spirit it is this young man. TheNobleScoundrel Most of the time these shows (The "Got Talent" franchise) don't. it's all up to the individual or group to introduce themselves as they wish. I've watched many seasons of Britain's Got Talent, and everyone's story is different. Some performers don't have a sob story but they suck anyway, some do and they're amazing. Some have an inspiring and maybe cheeky introduction. This guy just happened to have a sad circumstance and an amazing talent.
Yet I'm sure if it was the other way around and the judges simply ran through people without a care for their introduction or their stories people would still be upset. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying he wasn't forced to give a response, he has a choice in how he chooses to introduce himself, and he chose to tell his story.
Even though I can't speak Korean, it still put me in tears. His very survival & singing talent is inspirational. One cannot help but cheer for him & pray that things get better for him!!!
I'm italian and could get every single word of this ( italian ) opera song. This guy is very modest and uncommon. I mean, he's korean and never been in Italy but his pronunciacion is really good :| Anyway you can read the suffering of the past memories by his facial expression even in this glorious moment. Hope the future will be great for him. I dont believe in god ( at all ), i admire him because he believed in himself and in his own ambition so he got the results he deserves i''m so happy for him. His story made me remember 3 years ago when I had no one, no accommodation, and I was sick. my clothes and properties were outside for months under the rain and sun, the only person who accommodated me for one night ask me for sex, I refused and he chased me out. Today am a final year student and have a roof over my head, no more sleeping in lecture rooms and uncompleted building struggling to fight cold. thank you lord, thank you Jesus. I have lost count of how many times I must have seen this video. Atleast 70-80 times for sure. This boy is a legend, a god's gift to music lovers. I do not know Korean language. I never understood a word of the lyrics of the song, but he has delivered the emotion of the song perfectly well. Public reaction to the song speaks for itself. Tears welled up in my eyes and I really felt like giving him a hug. A jewel that he is, his parents were really unfortunate to have to leave him in an orphanage.

I came here after a lecture from a pastor. He made us watch this and I had a goosebumps by his singing voice. Having that talent and courage to enter such stage is just amazing. Its just making me emotional that there was no one to celebrate his steps with him. I wonder where he is at this moment.

I've been surprised when people sang opera before but not like this. There have been contestants who've hardships or were handicapped. They were ebullient but they had support, family. But this young man...I think I started crying before the judges. Abandoned, attacked and sold yet there he is. If there was ever an embodiment of the triumph of the human spirit it is this young man. Thanks to the wonderful RUclips side windows I see he has a rags to riches story. I'm going to watch that...after I dry my glasses. God bless him.

every dark cloud has a silver lining...so true...now that this guy spent 10 years struggling a lot and working hard a lot, he will have a blessed time now coz he is a part of Sony entertainment television...I didnt know this guy before I saw this video nor I had heard of him before...but after watching this video somewhere in my heart he has gained a respectable position...and somewhere down the line I truly wish him success from the bottom of my heart...

TheNobleScoundrel Most of the time these shows (The "Got Talent" franchise) don't. it's all up to the individual or group to introduce themselves as they wish. I've watched many seasons of Britain's Got Talent, and everyone's story is different. Some performers don't have a sob story but they suck anyway, some do and they're amazing. Some have an inspiring and maybe cheeky introduction. This guy just happened to have a sad circumstance and an amazing talent.
Yet I'm sure if it was the other way around and the judges simply ran through people without a care for their introduction or their stories people would still be upset. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying he wasn't forced to give a response, he has a choice in how he chooses to introduce himself, and he chose to tell his story.
Even though I can't speak Korean, it still put me in tears. His very survival & singing talent is inspirational. One cannot help but cheer for him & pray that things get better for him!!!
