    We installed the stainless steel peel and stick tiles 5 years ago. Looks as good today as it did the day we installed them. Doesn't fade and not a single tile has fallen off the wall.

      You can use the adhesive tiles you just have to prep the area by sanding the wall to remove the film on the existing wall paper, wipe it down well with alcohol then use Liquid Nails adhesive for added adhesion. We did this on my buddies camper a few years ago and zero issues to date.

    • @AZDIYGuy
      @AZDIYGuy Год назад

      @@jerry-381 Thanks Jerry, regardless of wall prep, I'm concerned about the adhesive on the tile itself. It just gets so stinking hot in storage during an Arizona summer that I fear that side will beak down.

    • @jerry-381
      @jerry-381 Год назад +2

      @@AZDIYGuy I hear you that's why I mentioned using the Liquid Nails adhesive in addition to the adhesion on the tiles. I would put the LN on the wall and let it sit for a few minutes then apply the tiles. It won't come off without pulling the paper off the walls if done properly.

    I installed some maybe 4 years ago and still doing great. no falling or peeling at all. I wonder why your fell off? I also did the peel and stick plank floor has held up. I even used the planks over the factory installed vinyl. I did self stick over wood and learned a few lessons. Using the 75 pound roller was the hardest part in an RV since you cant really roll all of the floor

    Happy Day! So I am putting a mini-wood stove into our camper, and I had the idea to use a strong backerboard covered in tile of some kind to help with the heat in this corner where it will sit. Will traditional tile be good here or are you pretty sure that will fall off over time with the driving? Any ideas?

    Do you remove the original wall panels prior to installing the 1/4" brick backsplash? Im concerned that the thickness of the brick panel.will be too thick around my kitchen window. Thanks!

    • @fallenintocamping
      @fallenintocamping  Год назад +1

      I actually trim it out and put it around the window. I take the window out, instal the panel, router out the hole of the window with a flush trim bit, then get the trim ring and put it in. I trace it with a sharpie and then cut it out with my multi tool, then reinstall the window. Sometimes you can get away with putting it underneath that trim ring, but just make sure the screw pull the window in tight to seal properly

    • @fallenintocamping
      @fallenintocamping  9 месяцев назад

      I stay away from pretty much all adhesive based products, but I do know some people who have had success with it. It also depends a lot on where you live and how hot/cold it gets. If your 100% set on it, at least use 2 types of adhesive (Ive heard some people use a good spray adhesive in addition to the adhesive on the wallpaper). I’ve never tried it because it’s not worth the gamble to me. If it falls off, I don’t have the heart to tell my clients ‘tough luck’ 😂
