Yes. I’m a strong believer in the saying “You get what you pay for”. Thank you for the review. I’m looking at backsplash options for our kitchen renovation, your review is helpful.
Honestly, I was impressed with all of them. Of course depending on the situation, one would be more appropriate than another. But, if someone has an ugly wall and no money, the Dollar Tree tiles would be a huge improvement! It's a super cheap way to cover sins, add texture and give a clean look.
I agree! I am updating my apartment and I wanted something cheaper because I don’t know how long I’ll be there. As well, the dollar tree tiles seem like the easiest to remove
Ty so much for an honest opinion I’m low income n so dang tired of wasting what lil money I hav bc some influencer wants to lie to me about an item they r reviewing jus so they can make $$ off of a good review n so u will use their affiliate link!!!!!!

I’ve used several peel and stick products. I will always pay extra for the Smart Tiles. It is still holding in my Master bath. WalMart version has failed in bathroom 2!!
I have just begun watching this but hands down Roomates from Amazon!!!!!! I did the mini subway tile white with grey grout! Very forgiving on horrible rental walls. 1 year no bubbling tons of repositioning got the info from another youtuber in Canada!
We have Smart Tiles as our kitchen backsplash and years later they are still looking great. People think they are glass!! We are redoing out countertop and will definitely get Smart Tiles again. Quite a savings from glass type backsplash. 👍
Christina, thanks so much for doing this video. I have been wanted to put up a peel and stick backsplash but, I was hesitant because usually they don't work . So it's true, you get what you pay for. I totally guessed wrong. I thought for sure you'd shock us all and say the dollar store tile. Again, thanks.
I used the Amazon pile and stick tile. I had issues of it not sticking and it was more difficult to put up than I thought. I used it in my bathroom, but it is pretty and I’ve had a lot of nice comments. I just use stick glue. It’s been up for about three years now, so I think I have glued my last edge.
I've used several brands in different homes, rooms, etc and I've had the same experience. 6 years after installing, my Smart Tiles still looked as good as when I put them up. Others I've used, not so much. I have a white hexagon ones in my kitchen currently from Amazon (slightly bigger than the ones you put up), and, although they look great, they started coming up in spots within several months of putting them up.
The glue gets very tight as time passes and very difficult to remove later. After leaning my lesson once, I only peel and stick the corners and not the whole sheet.
I bought my white subway tile from Rona. Expensive brand name. Package of 4 (12x12) for over $40.00. Put some tiles on months ago and noticed them peeling away and every so often I have to push the lifting. I applied the balance of the wall last week. For the older parts lifting, I added some glue to areas to stop the titles that lifting. Glad I won't be here in 10 years if pick and stick tiles need replacing. But they are beautiful over my counter and behind the stove looks great. Totally added beauty to my home.
Thank you so much for this video, your timing is perfect! I'm getting my tiny rental ready for the upcoming holidays, and Winter, by painting EVERYTHING brilliant white. But I couldn't decide one which peel'n stick tile to choose. Now I know, I just need to choose the pattern. Stay safe, and I'll see you in the next video!🤗
I figured you get what you pay for when it comes to peel and stick. Thank you for this video and for always being honest in your videos. I’ve been subscribed for a while but don’t comment often. Now that I know how much it helps your channel I’ll leave more comments.
I’m consider peel and stick tiles for a backsplash in a small camper that I’m re-doing but I’m concerned about the heat and humidity since it will be left unattended during the week and I’m afraid the heat might play havoc on it. Any chance anyone has had this experience and what success or failure have you had? Thanks
So happy I found you because Ive cleaned my wall thoroughly now waiting for them to dry then I'm putting up Tic Toc subway peel and stick! I'll post before and after
They all look great but the quality difference seems to be in adhesive. I wonder if any product exists that would enhance the poorer quality tiles that would be reasonably priced and easy to apply? Otherwise buying the more expensive tiles may be the way to go. Great info!!
I wonder if you take a hair dryer and activate the glue again on the places that are popping up if that might solve that problem?? I have had to do that with floor tiles.
Bad thing that not all of dollar store. worth even a dólar, I heard that is not the best to buy there, for example shampoo, microfiber towels, and so on, just cleaning products are good. Thanks for the honesty Kristina😊🤗
Great video! Do you have videos how to put on your RV counter top and your RV walls? Hope there’s videos of it. Thank you so much for sharing your videos.
I picked up Dollarama metallic tiles for my boler trailer. They are thicker than the regular peel and stick, it will be a permanent fix. Do you think I will need additional adhesive for them to stay stuck ? I picked the Smart Tile as probably holding up the best. thank you.
Thanks sooo much for this video!! Question: will these smart tiles work well in a bathroom with lots of moisture? I will be doing a renter-friendly reno when i move to canada and i am in search of good quality tiles for walls and floors!
I have tic toc subway tiles with commercial adhesive in my camper. They were more $ but after about 18 months they are still perfect. Makes my kitchen look and feel like a kitchen in my small space. I also have the marble look contact paper you recommended for a table top we made. It is also still perfect.
Hi there, Enjoy this vid. I also have some dollar store tile that I put on my wall. And like you, it's starting to lift and so I'm going to replace it with a better brand.
Do you have a spray product to recommend to spray my glass panels on my balcony for more privacy ? I used a spray in a bathroom window once but inside. I wish to do the same with the right product outside now. I also live in Canada (Québec) with very cold temperatures. Thanks
Hi, thanks for the comparison. I've heard the dollar store peel n stick doesn't remove cleanly. Does the Snart Tile remove cleanly? I am in a rental, so that's important.
This was very helpful. I didn’t even know dollar stores carried tiles. I was quite impressed with how your Smarttiles held up and went to their website. Unfortunately all they have is black, white and gray. I need color! Do you have any other recommendations?
This product is a God Send for campers and RVs. It is crazy top me that folk try to use real tile and real wood in those RVs adding sooo much weight. This stuff looks just as good and way more practical for RVs.
Hi Christina....thanks for the update on your tiles...It's snowing up north in Ontario as of yesterday, it's not here yet in North Bay but it won't be long...ugh....Take care....stay safe...
Hey fellow Albertan! I'm curious as too how it will come off? Will it rip the layer below it or is there a product you recommend to remove said peel & stick tiles?
You should just be able to gently peel it off. It's going to depend what's underneath, but if it's well cured paint, there shouldn't be much damage (if any).
Hi! We removed some stick on tiles from our powder room that the previous owner installed and they did peel off paint and damage the dry wall paper. We had to patch it before we could paint. I supposed it would depend on the brand of sticky tiles as well.
You need to put some silicon or some e6000 on each corner before install. Hey it's dollarama & quite inexpensive, so it's worth it just for a little extra manual coverage on all corners!
Great info, thanks! One thing no one ever addresses is what you do to cap off the tile at the ends of each row. Do you put some type of trim there to finish off the edges?
Be careful with any peel and stick tiles if you ever plan on removing them from the wall. The previous owners of my house put them in as a backsplash in the powder room and they came off easily but heavily damaged the walls/peeled off paint - and we were very careful taking them off.
@@hayden47371 we did not, maybe that was our mistake, but the way people describe this material is you shouldn't need to. I don't know if it would have helped because i don't think it would have been able to get through the tile to the adhesive.

I haven't bought home hardware or decor items from Amazon. The problem where I live in the desert Southwest of the U.S. is high summer temps and dry heat, adhesives don't last.
It can. We just removed some from our powder room and they peeled off paint and damaged the dry wall paper in some spots. We didn’t install them so I don’t know what brand they were but from other comments it sounds like some come off easier than others.
Its really good to know, I ordered some from Amazon and never installed them becuase somebody mentioned it will always peel off. So I bought very similar subway tiles ( I do like big one but its over my budget so this, small tiles still beautiful and affordable from Home depot)
My biggest worry would be how easy they are to remove and what does the wall look like after? I don’t want to have a damaged wall that’s going to be a pain to renovate to give back to the landlord.

Sometimes its just best to spend the extra dollars for something that lasts longer. You can always cut back on other things to make up the difference.

Yes, it peels off easily. If it's a little stubborn a hairdryer makes the adhesive soft & you're good to remove tricky corner bits etc.
If there’s any sticky residue you can use goo gone to remove it! I’ve just peeled it off but I’ve also used a steamer to remove it before!
