Just a quick Personal Story regarding the second tip: Once my Schoolclass organized a Trip to Barcelona. Since it was my first Time being in Barcelona I was overly excited to explore the City. Unfortunately my Friends were not feeling the same way, so i just started my own trip through Barcelona while my Friends were shopping. In just a couple of hours I met some amazing People ( for example two amazing Policemen who helped me finding a specific Metro Station. While we were trying to find it they told me about some crazy stuff they experienced with Tourists and it was hilarious) and made some amazing memories. I fell in love with Barcelona while I was getting lost in this City and can't wait to be back! One of the most amazing experiences I've ever made!
i absolutely agree with the "dont cram" advice. be honest with yourself about what youre really interested in and dont got see the rest! theres no award for "i saw the top 10 sights in this city in 2 days and it was stressful and not fun." traveling is supposed to be fun and there are no rules. (except for the law.) heck, i lived in beijing for 2 months and only saw the great wall and nothing else (it was too hot lol. 40 degrees in the shadow and 100% humidity during the day doesnt really motivate you to go sighseeing) but i saw a lot of the amazing nightlife and that was absolutely worth it! go do and see what you want, not what the guidebook tells you you should see.
Can't get enough of your channel!! Not only are you COMPLETELY dialed in to the solo and partner travel and explore life, you are incredible to watch and listen to. Weird compliment, but I also really enjoy your vocal cadence and clarity and speed you deliver. Lol
I just returned from my first international adventure from the US to Denmark & Norway last week! I'd also highly recommend those countries for first time travel, especially for English-speaking folks. While both are known for being a little pricey, but you can't spend money when you're hiking!
I'm going to Amsterdam next summer with my two best friends and it's our first ever trip on our own and I couldn't be more excited!!! I'll try and use these tips 😄
The great thing for me is that I never really was a first time traveller because my parents have taken me on many journeys and vacations since I was a toddler. That means that I basically learned it all while growing up and have been to over 15 countries in my 19 years of life and I strive to visit a lot more! I love seeing and exploring the world and realise how lucky I am to be able to do that! :)
I would include Mexico to the list I just got back from a 6 month trip there and fell in LOVEEEE! The delicious food, the hospitable kind people, the beautiful places clear waters white sand beaches, mountains deserts, waterfalls ugh too many good things to mention had an absolute blast can't wait to go back! Would definitely recommend it to any world traveler 💖
I am waking up and while I am taking my tea every morning I am watching your videos.. Your videos keep me fresh throughout the day.. Kind of a meditation for me 😌😜❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
These are SUUUCHHH good tips! I was really about over-planning my vacations as well and realized Id just be constantly stressed out. Learned rather quickly that its best to ditch plans and go with the flow of things. Loved the video Sorelle! 💕
Some of the most interesting people and places we have met were when we were literally lost in the area we were visiting. We no longer stress or get upset if we are lost. We know it's an adventure and we may see something AMAZING :)
I'm doing a big trip start of next year, Melbourne - London - Belgium - Denmark - Sweden - Norway - Iceland - London - Tokyo - Back to Melbourne. I've been to some of these places before and I really liked them so I'm going back. Remember, you can go back. Countries won't move off Earth on you.
Hi, Sorelle! Just wanted you to know that Bali is an island and not a country; Bali is inside Indonesia. You probably knew this already and it was just a mistake but I just want to remind you. Love your videos, by the way! ❤️
5:08 I think I just realized you were saying "when you pack, half it, then half it again." I thought you have been saying "have it and have it again", and I was very confused.
LOVE that last piece of advice especially! Too many people unfortunately have this superior attitude when it comes to travelling, forgetting that "travelling" is really just visiting another country. However you want to experience that visit is completely up to you and your interests! :) x
We learn a lesson with every video you post. Thank you for sharing and teaching, Sorelle!! I love you and I'm so happy for you, that you have such a great life at the moment! 😍😍❤🙏
Yay Singapore! heres a tip for first timers travelling to Singapore, include the other nearby countries in your travel plans eg Thailand, Indonesia. Maybe 1-2 days in Singapore, and a few more days exploring a nearby country.
I'm going on my first ever solo travel adventure later this year and this is SUPER helpful! Thank you, you wonderful person you. Also this lighting though? Wonderful. Amazing. 10/10.
Loved the video! (As all your videos) really liked the last point. I did a tour trip around some of europe last year and some people were hating that it was 'too rushed' and 'generic' but i honestly had the best time ever and it suited my time frame and meant I could sit back and relax on the bus and simce it was during my uni break it was the nice stress free break i needed. Gave me a taste for it all and I'm planning on going back next year to live and will have plenty more time to see it all. Don't let people tell you how you should travel, take advice and get the pros and cons from different people but do what you want! Its your money, time and life after all
No self defense yet. But I will be shortly learning some martial arts just because I’m super interested actually! A little knowledge in this area isn’t a bad idea!
So how do you stay safe while traveling solo? I wonder if you can make a video on how you stay safe and maybe some situations that you felt unsafe in a place and how you dealt with it? Love your videos as always!!
i saved up for a Bali trip and had to cancel my tickets at the last minute because my dad got sick, i was pretty bumped but this video is urging me to travel again soon :)
Hey Sorelle, I loooooove your videos. You always seem so awake and lively, it's unique. I'm planning to travel like a minimalist. Can you show us what kind of things you bring along? Greetings from Switzerland. Btw, if you ever need a couch, I'd happily provide it! :D
Sorelly, I absolutely love your eyes! Great tips for travelling. As a new vlogger and a person passionate about travelling all my life, I intend to do more "on the budget" videos about places I afford to explore, even if close to home. Living in an area rich in history, I can take my time and show people these places in more detail. I know cultural travelling, with historical bits into it, is a niche, but I really want to focus on it. Thank you for another great video.
Just discovered you and I'M ALREADY OBSESSED!!! I've traveled solo only once and am itching to do it again and this video gave me so much inspiration! Love your energy, style, tips, etc. Definitely coming back to your channel for more!
Hey Sorelle! Can you talk more about card insurance in a video? How often do you use atms, do you avoid atm charges? How much safety money is enough? Any tips and tricks to avoid currency exchange charges etc. I am sure giving any bank/card names without being sponsored is not fun, but if you can find a way to make a way to find that video, that would be awesome!!
Hereitage is Icelandic, both grandparents on mum’s side from there...am planning to visit with my husband and son...will be visiting your sites again on Iceland....again, thank you. Now, my fav place is Africa...when are you planning to visit...Uganda or Tanzania!
*I really wanna go to Thailand! the food, the culture, the people, the weather it's no wonder everybody loves Thailand! and yes for Airbnb or hostels all the way, hotels are great with family or when you REALLY wanna relax and be pampered I guess but I'm for couch surfing all the way. you get the whole experience* :)
This was so very helpful! For the first time in my life I started planing bigger trips on my own and this video will help a lot with the preparations. Thanks a million.
Great Tips! We will be travelling the world with our two children leaving in September. So excited. We travelled when we were young but with kids will be an experience. Keep up the good work!
I recommend Seoul as a good first East Asia travel, especially with a tiny group (1-2 companions, not recommended for solo travelers if you love dining in restaurants, like for kbbq). So much so see, easy to get around. There's also a lot of airbnbs, some hostels, and lots of vids and info on the net now too. Thanks so much for these excellent tips Sorelle! I'm looking forward to more travels. Any tips for certain countries you would recommend for first time/ beginner female solo adventures?
Just wanted to say I appreciate you! Your personality, openness to sharing information in order to help others, creating material that is user friendly and not intimidating :) keep it up!
I love your work and I admire you so much...I love photography and your advance selfies videos showed me I can add myself in my landscape pictures too...love the idea...I'm my own model!
What do countries have to do with time traveling? I mean, HG Wells was one of the first time travelers so I figured this would have been beneficial for him. Maybe he could have come across the video during his venture into the future. :) All jokes aside, I love your videos and the information you have shared. Please keep it up! I look forward to your future vlogs!
You and your traveling are so inspiring honestly. I’m so grateful that there are authentic and genuine influencers out there just like you. Thank you for always staying true to your subscribers 💕 can’t wait to travel just like you xoxoxo

I have a ‘roam like home’ plan with my carrier that is only slightly more than my normal plan for the month, and when travelling throughout several countries within a single trip it’s been a lot easier just to have the one plan vs. switching out SIM cards several times. Also I’ve witnessed friends have issues with the SIM cards they get, not getting their regular plan/amount of access and not having their original number and having to contact a bunch of people with their new number. It’s definitely something to consider, but if you’re going to get charged mad $$$$$$ because your carrier doesn’t have good roaming options then I would go with a SIM card.
Hi Sorelle, been following you now for a while, here and on instagram. I love your videos - I'm so not a minimalist but I totally get inspired by your amazing tips and tricks to better explore and capture this beautiful world. I love your positivity and your amazing ability to explain things that sometimes can feel very scary to those who wants to travel - you make it so inspiring. When you do these types of tips-videos you should totally think about changing location (even if it's just to another wall) in between tips - totally helps one to get inspired. All the best from Sweden and you totally have somewhere to stay with if you ever decide to go to Stockholm spontaneously! xo Caroline
Can confirm Sorelle travels to countries around the world
Can confirm...my brother is an absolute legend! Hahaha!
Can Confirm, Sorelle is right about me being her brother
Can confirm. Watching this video during Corona is a bad idea
Actually one of the best channels on RUclips. So joyous!
Oh yeah! Nice thanks!
Not a first time traveller but still gonna watch this : )
Haha. You’re the best.
mar because her channel is amazing :)
Fitness Tactics for real!!!! I’m starting as a travelblogger and learning so much from Sorelle!

That’s such a good story! Respect.
Sorelle Amore thanks alot! :))
Love Barcelona xxx
Your videos usually have captions, which, as a deaf person, is hugely appreciated. I'm terrible w/ lipreading videos.
They are uploading shortly. Sorry about the delay!
Awesome! I know captions are a pita to set up, and we deaf folks do appreciate the people who take the time. I'll check back in later. :)
Just a heads-up: still no captions. Weird because your newer video has it.
JenPhotographs you can turn on captions for any video

Love how 'UK' and 'Scotland' are both on the list
This lighting is fantastic!
I know right?! 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
i absolutely agree with the "dont cram" advice.
be honest with yourself about what youre really interested in and dont got see the rest! theres no award for "i saw the top 10 sights in this city in 2 days and it was stressful and not fun."
traveling is supposed to be fun and there are no rules.
Bali is not a country, it’s a province in my country Indonesia 😊
I am really curious if these people actually knows that Bali is INSIDE a country named Indonesia or they really think that Bali is a country?
i'm going there next week and i do know that, for your happiness ahah
I had no idea!!!! I’m so glad I read this lol I always hear about Bali as a singular place so I always assumed it’s a country!
Can't get enough of your channel!!
Not only are you COMPLETELY dialed in to the solo and partner travel and explore life, you are incredible to watch and listen to.
Weird compliment, but I also really enjoy your vocal cadence and clarity and speed you deliver. Lol
Going to be a first time traveller very soon, thank you for taking your time to help us lost souls 💛 your channel is frickin' amazing!

Wohoo! Super lucky :)
I just remembered that I completed 21 days no complaints:) I won. I rarely complain that I forgot the challenge hehe
Amaaazing!
Love the mindset, it's has to be you to decide your own experience and not trying to achieve any standard ideal experience many people have ♡
I would include Mexico to the list I just got back from a 6 month trip there and fell in LOVEEEE! The delicious food, the hospitable kind people, the beautiful places clear waters white sand beaches, mountains deserts, waterfalls ugh too many good things to mention had an absolute blast can't wait to go back! Hi, Sorelle! Just wanted you to know that Bali is an island and not a country; Bali is inside Indonesia. You probably knew this already and it was just a mistake but I just want to remind you. Love your videos, by the way! ❤️
Honestly, I just found you and you changed my life. Love love love your video
I love your last tip. It’s so true. There’s no “right” way to do travel, only what makes you happy. :)
I'm traveling overseas for the first time in a few weeks I'm going to Europe:) I'm traveling to Berlin, Dresden, Krakow, Prague, and Budapest!
Your advice (across multiple videos) has been crazy helpful for me as I prepare to move to Spain having never left my home country before! Thank you!
Your english is so clear👍
5:08 I think I just realized you were saying "when you pack, half it, then half it again."
I thought you have been saying "have it and have it again", and I was very confused.
Australian accent 😂😂

Speaking of safety. Have you ever learned self defense just to up the Safety barrier while you're travelling?
No self defense yet. But I will be shortly learning some martial arts just because I’m super interested actually! A little knowledge in this area isn’t a bad idea!
People who think negative attract
the worst. Especially if travelling.
Danger is everywhere not only when travelling.
You have to check out Lofoten, North-Norway. Epic both at summer and winter time!
So how do you stay safe while traveling solo? I wonder if you can make a video on how you stay safe and maybe some situations that you felt unsafe in a place and how you dealt with it? Love your videos as always!!

I love your channel and your energy!
You included Croatia for the best countries :) my country! ♥
love to watch your videos!
love your eyebrows ♡
I really agree with putting Poland on the list of good travel destinations. I wanted to write a few good places to visit, but there are just to many of them for me to choose. Tours around Lower Silesia are my addiction and everything at the east side of the country is a paradise for backpackers and nature lovers. Poland is really diverse
I love the way you talk...like i can legit just stare at you talking for hours LOL
Wow you just saved me lol my passport is about to expire and I am traveling next Friday 😮
You should do a video about the closest calls you’ve had while venturing or like weird things that have happened to you on your trips.... that would be fun to hear about! Maybe give us amateurs some tips...😋
I want to be just like you when I grow up. Lots of love from Mexico ❤️🇲🇽
I was waiting for this, so helpful😊😊😘 thank you😍💃💃
Never been anywhere in my life.
Definitely looking forward to bumping into ppl like her… zamn
I just love you and your channel so much. What a lovely free spirit you are
You are amazing and a big inspiration to me !
Thanks for the advice!
We were planning to go on a trip with some of my friends in Europe but we didn't know exactly where to go to but thanks to this video I have plenty of ideas especially poland and/or estonia ! Thank you for the great content, it's really helpful :D
Oh you’re so welcome! :)
I just found you yesterday and i honestly really love your channel. Youre such a cute person and i just really like your vibes plus your videos are great!! Thanks for making such great vidoes!!
Your eyeliner is so beautiful in this video!
Thanks 4 the tips, great content.
There are certain phone plans at home that are worth the cost though!
Love your channel! You are so informative and helpful especially when planning for future travels 😊
omg i read it as every first time-traveller and was like wutt
The cram part was epic.
Consider Albania :) very cheap here and amazing locations easy to get around and awesome weather!
All the best from Sweden and you totally have somewhere to stay with if you ever decide to go to Stockholm spontaneously! xo Caroline
Thank you for always inspiring us 😊
