Top 10 pure passer of all-time, the GOAT non-guard passer.
He could see plays before they fully developed, he had a crazy basketball IQ, tremendous court-awareness, he could see the floor as well as anyone, could make it very flashy - with his passing - simply in order to have it being extremely effective, he did it with both hands, he made his teammates much better, seemed like the game was slowed down for him, he was capable of making some unreal passes, he had a QB arm and can be argued as the GOAT outlet passer... You can never have enough videos highlighting Bird's passing. Great job, thanks for the upload, I'll keep an eye out for that second part.

      *****
True... He was able to do all of what you've mentioned, all of what we see in this video, and even all of the flashy+effective stuff, because he had all the fundamentals down to a T, and because his basketball IQ was simply ridiculous. Plus - like you've pointed out - he did it all with the least wasted motion, while that's very important in the game of basketball.
His passing game was incredible, he could do it from everywhere in every single way (somewhat like his shooting).

People talk about the GOAT.... but I don't see Kobe, Lebron, or Jordan making passes like this while averaging 20+ points and 10 rbs a game. Bird and Magic rule.

it's insane. Every pass is a highlight. These are game play by play assists and it's like a career highlight reel for any other player. The simplicity of his passes and his ability to see the open guy is what makes it amazing because if you pause it before he passes the ball you can s ee the guy getting open. It's obvious. He just so happen to be aware of those patterns and exposes it through his gravity on the offensive side of the ball. It's crazy

Thank you so much for sharing. Anyone who questions Bird's ability to pass should see this video. Bird could see the floor like a point guard and could use either hand to deliver the ball to an open teammate. Bird could and did thread the needle in traffic as well as throw terrific outlet passes. He had skills that just can't be taught- a natural feel for the game. Thanks!

Thank you Crunchy Sopa for posting these great Videos of Magic and Larry. Im so sick and tired of people talking down on Bird. Saying Lebron is a better Passer. LMAO!!!
These kids dont have a clue. I take Larry Legend over Lebron any day of the week.

Haven't seen a lot of these passes. He has a portfolio of passes in a single game that most players wont have for a career.

That "goes up for a shot but turns it into a seamless pass at the last second" pass is incredible. He's the only player I've seen do that.

Best passer ever, there are a few players that are incredibly talented and have cooler looking passes, but Bird could instantaneously improvise, like a master jazz musician from anywhere and through multiple opponents

So what goes thru my head when I see these passes is…how the heck do you PRACTICE this kind of thing? The answer is, YOU CANT.
You either have it or you don’t. LARRY LEGEND IS A NATURAL.

They can say Lebron, but they would be lying. Any ONE game with Larry Bird in it featured passes that would make Lebron's career highlights.

His passing ability was magnificent. He should be the point guard......that would be amazing

That probably would have blown out his back earlier than it did if he played a Pippen point-forward role, more miles on the floor.

Your Mother He ain't as soft as Pippen. He put it on the line every night Not being a sidekick... That's why he hurt his back.
