This guy is a fucking genius. The way he duduced the salt content in the human body was so logical. It shows he *actually* understands the concepts and doesn't just memorize stuff.
I agree. But he either made two mistakes which canceled out each other (using 3% instead of 0.3% and miscalculating) or he was thinking right and only used the wrong words 3 percentage instead of 0.3 percentage.
So awkward... I think Dolph just wandered in to ask for directions and Kyle was like "Wait, you're Dolph Lundgren! Do you want to take a test... because science?"
Except that 3% and 0.3% are quite far from each other. He made a mistake in the calculation, so he thought that 3% of 70kg is 210 grams, instead of 2100 grams. Since the answers were 1000 grams, 500 grams, 250 grams, and practically none, if he makes the calculation correctly, and he gets 2100 grams as a result, he wouldn't have been any closer to the answer. He screwed up, but got lucky in the end.
His mistake was calculating the 3% as if it was the weight percentage of body mass that was salt. Its around 0.4% which would equate to 280 grams in a 70kg person, closer to 250 grams.
Hitting somebody with science questions even just a couple years after graduation can lead to some disappointing results. Sometimes you get disappointing results if you ask them two months after their final exams. Ok, I'm starting to write a buddy movie with Dolph Lundgren and Neil De Grasse Tyson in the lead roles right now. It's gonna be about two divorced 50-something science nerds that start a science youtube channel together, out of boredom, and accidentally uncover plans of world domination by an evil mad scientist played by Stephen Hawking. They're hired by the Miami PD to help them defeat the evil genius, and then partner with undercover cops played by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. Chris Hardwick is gonna play the evil russian henchman, Ivan Striko, who throws bowling balls at his victims (and he always aims for the balls, and calls this deadly technique : E = MC Spare). Louis CK is gonna play an evil mexican warlord who wants to buy weapons of mass destruction from undercover Key & Peele. There's gonna be explosions, bikinis, Miami Vice-like wardrobe, one liners, a visit from the ghost of Nikola Tesla, Sarah Palin playing Dolph's anti-science ex-wife, it's gonna be a hit.
Replace Louie with Tom Segura, because his accents are perfect and replace Tesla (or add in) with Edison. Make Edison the root of the conspiracy dating back to when he worked for the Navy and stole Tesla's ideas. Ron White as Edison.
I think he would be GREAT as a Bill Nye type host of a science show! Did you notice how he was talking through how he came up with the answers, like he wanted the kid you figure it out with him!!
He had a TEDx talk where he talked about growing up, emotional problems and how things spiraled out of his control leading to an eventually healed estrangement from his wife and daughters. He did a lot of martial arts especially karate which helped him during a troubled child hood with an emotionally absent and physically abusive dad, so abusive that he was taken to his grandparents where he thrived. He was an A-student in the United States, which is not much of an achievement, since the U.S. schools do not really demand a lot in comparison to Europe today. He did one year of studies in the U.S interrupted by one year compulsory military service in the Swedish marine before he completed his chemical engineering degree in Sweden. He then enrolled as a Fullbright scholarship recipient to the MiT but was spotted and hired away by Grace Jones and this distraction led to a quick dismissal from MiT which he does not really complain about since according to his words "all of the sudden the MiT" was not that exciting anymore. He entered a relationship with Grace Jones, nine years senior to him, officially hired as her bodyguard, but he rather helped her work out in the sheets in between her musical performances.

3% of 70kg is 2.1Kg. But if water can retain max of about 3% surely one can reason our body would have far less than 3%. But I have known for very long time about Lundgren being a Chemical Engineer and a Fulbright scholar at MIT…he is almost like a role model for me
He was MSc in Chemical engineering. It was a long time ago and he hasn't worked in the field. But those where really high school level questions. My 13yo son has harder tests in school. Also those where more of biology questions than typical chemistry.
Henry Rollins does "Angry" well, but this will be a Deadpool movie. I think "Annoyed" should be the focus for Cable. Personally, I think Lundgren could that aspect better.

Please. Make. This. Happen.
I would probably substitute Kaku for Hawking.
this is brilliant.
Replace Louie with Tom Segura, because his accents are perfect and replace Tesla (or add in) with Edison. Make Edison the root of the conspiracy dating back to when he worked for the Navy and stole Tesla's ideas. Ron White as Edison.
didnt Always Sunny do that lol..
I think he would be GREAT as a Bill Nye type host of a science show! Did you notice how he was talking through how he came up with the answers, like he wanted the kid you figure it out with him!!
Thanks for watching 😊.. so tell me how long have you been my fan.?
Dolph has an IQ of 160, he's a real life genius, and one of the most highly educated men alive today.
yeah no that’s the mensa test so really just 1 in a couple 100
Gotta love sciency folk. Them having a quiz and starting to discuss the answers is just golden.
Dolph didn't even try to pretend like he was interested in this. 😂 He answered those questions for *himself,* not them.
‘Work out in the sheets’, lmao
So antsy to leave lol
Well maybe he had to be somewhere else and was kind enough to stop by, and maybe the shooting of the episode took to long. Because...not preparing (y)
+quber117 he needed to go lift some weights
+quber117 Looks like his back hurts, or he has to take a shit/piss
Too much nerd and not enough muscle. Dolph prefers to hang around fellow alphas.
Ninja Sushi shut up you fucking nerd 😂
Dolph, chemical engineering, action hero... MIND BLOWN
One of my favorites action stars!
+RoleAce Ours too!
+Nerdist Holy Crap!!, I thought he was a great actor, its nice to know I am not the only giant Scandinavian who loves science !!
now I am going to be all like "Favourite scientist, yeah that has got to be Dolph Lundgren." I cannot wait to see peoples reactions when I use that one.
Germanic-Scandinavians, U106/R-L48 and I1 haplogroups mainly. I'd like to know what Lundgren's Y haplogroup is.
Shoud've had rocky come in and try to read the questions..
YEAH it'd be like...
Ay yo adrian.... so like i was just thinkin ya know...
humans have salt in their body, you have salt , i have salt, everybody has salt ya know
and it don't bother me none :P but i was just wonderin if you Neeewww how much salt was in a mans body ya know
then Adrian gets the answer right
and rocky is like
Ayyy yo adrien ... you did it , i knew you would , i would woke up this morning and i KNEW it was gonna be a good day
i was like so nervous and i thought you being a girl from philli you might not get it but you got it and you're so smart and i was like thinking if we take your smarts and my muscle we could open a game show you know and maybe i could get into commercials LOL
(in the mornin when i splash it on to go out wit da guys) LOL
ayyy yo buttkiss
LOL
Dolph should pick a specialist science subject and appear on celebrity mastermind, would be cool.
Sooo was Dolph there to promote something? I can't see him just randomly popping into Nerdist Studios for the fun of it.
Everybody knew that. Dolph is a badass in all capacities
dolph was salty during this whole thing
Only 3% (ba dum tss).
Matt Hannel his salt level raised from 250 to 500
3% of 70kg is 2.1Kg.
But if water can retain max of about 3% surely one can reason our body would have far less than 3%.
But I have known for very long time about Lundgren being a Chemical Engineer and a Fulbright scholar at MIT…he is almost like a role model for me
Wow, Ivan Drago and Thor together
He is he-man master of the universe after all
Best Punisher ever.
Do more of this. I hope dolph does even more the he has done and maybe brings science into the forefront of hollywood even more
He was MSc in Chemical engineering. It was a long time ago and he hasn't worked in the field.
But those where really high school level questions. My 13yo son has harder tests in school.
Also those where more of biology questions than typical chemistry.
I've always liked Dolph he was always the iconic bad man, I found out after expendables that he was so smart was crazy like kyle said.
DRAGO! yo. You killed Apollo...
lol Stallone shows up out of nowhere pissed off
"if he dies .....he DIES!!" - SAVAGE!
Firth Laist "I must break you"- Drago
His acting here is AMAZING!
Faking timebank at such an easy (for his level) quiz.
He looks great for 58!
Super humble Dolph is. Always enjoyed him.
Dolph Lundgren for Cable in Deadpool 2!
+Jeremy Higgins nah i vote henry rollins
Henry Rollins does "Angry" well, but this will be a Deadpool movie. I think "Annoyed" should be the focus for Cable. Personally, I think Lundgren could that aspect better.
Mr Dolph Lundgren - an actual black belt in Kyukushin Karate ( full contact Karate) and smart as they come. Very humble guy. Nice clip!
