      Steroid use is so ubiquitous and wide spread that it's practically everywhere these days. Just about every professional bodybuilder on the pro level stage takes them( and HGH) and even athletes and actors take them now, too. It's not a level playing field anymore. I always say that my favorite bodybuilder is Steve Reeves( because he was all-natural) and that I think that he was and IS the best bodybuilder of all time because of how he was able to craft such an impressive physique for himself without using a single performance enhancing drug( and bodybuilders were already using and misusing steroids back in the 1950s during the hey-day of Reeves in the Hercules movies).
      But again, with steroids being so ubiquitous these days, even actors are taking them and then spewing the same kind of nonsense about their protein rich diets and strict eating habits that many bodybuilders do when they're really juicing. I can respect that Dolph Lundgren is honest enough to just come out and say that he used steroids when he was younger.

Engineering field, because of this I wonder why he didn't become an academic instead of an actor, he would've made agreat professor. I always liked Dolph and his films, not just Rocky 4 and Universal Soldiers. Dolph is one of the very few athletes or entertainers who didn't downplay how long he used steroids. Most of us assumed he started around Rocky 4 as he said given that he had to gain significant lean mass in a short period of time and then maintain 240-245 at 6'4"+ during filming and then got even bigger for Masters when he was 248-250. I wouldn't have even questioned him much if he had claimed that he stopped several years earlier around 1991-1993, but the decade he admits to adds up as there was less emphasis on his physique after the mid 90s and by the late 90s/early 2000s, he had slimmed down considerably and looked to be going for a more normal athletic appearance. I won't scrutinize the dose too much, but he is undoubtedly truthful when he says his use was very moderate compared to bodybuilders.

    I'm really shocked he did steroids for Rocky IV. He looked terrific and lean, yes. But I didn't think he looked obsessively large for a guy with his frame and genetics. I also thought a lot of it was camera angles and baby oil. I watch a lot of MPMD videos so I already suspected a lot of Hollywood is on roids, but Lundgren doing them for Rocky IV really changes my views. Now I'm starting to think a lot more of these actors/influences claiming natty and not even looking that freakishly big may still be doing steroids.

      Steroids will help you look the way you want, you won't necessarily become a mass monster.

    • @Haulinbassracing
      @Haulinbassracing Год назад +1

      Tren bro, the point of bodybuilding isnt just size bodybuilders want lean mass not muscle with a pile of fat.
      Lots of steroids are made to keep you lean while you put on weight. Or even cause your fibers to be stronger so you gain strength without gaining weight.
      Honestly every athlete should be on gear and have routine blood tests done by doctors to make sure they are safe. Its not about all out performance but endurance and long term health.
      I dont get why everyone is against them, even in mma. The #1 advantage from juicing is recovery. Thats the big difference on gear i could go to the gym workout to failure, and do it again after sleeping. Without gear ill be stiff and sore for 2 days after. I never noticed a massive strength increase i could just do more reps and not feel like i was in a car wreck the day before. Ive done 2 cycles of trt, hgh and something similar to anavar so im no expert but its really helped me out at work. I used to work so hard i would vomit, now the same work level barley breaks a sweat.
      Dude if your over 38 you wont believe what a small cycle will do for you.

    In many ways Ivan Drago wasn't too far from the real Dolph in terms of PED's. Funny how Rocky was portrayed as this natty wholesome egg drinking guy. Funny cause Sly's been taking roids for decades. In classic USA vs USSR setups in the 80's it was cruical to make the enemy look morally weak.🤣

    Well my Grandfather was a big German guy I only met him a few times heavy drinker heavy smoker lived to be 82 and had no cancer died in his sleep so never know really genetically. I hope Dolph has more years ahead of him though I'll never forget seeing him for the first time wandering into the living room my brother was watching Rocky 4 I was awestruck I asked who's that my brother says Drago he's the bad guy from Russia I was annoyed he told me who the character was I said NO WHO IS THAT? So then he said Dolph Lundgren. Look at him steroids or not he didn't get bulky like some of them stayed lean not many people look like him movie star or not and he's smart too. Best wishes to him♥️
