Thank you for this lovely clear video which exactly showed the problem when wipers stopped on my 09 plate qashqai. I bought the retaining clip online for £5.50 and all done. Top man, thanks again.
Glad it helped. Not long after i fitted the clip the motor itself packed up and had to replace one of those.

hii i have a Nissan Qashqai 2010 modell and i have problem with this car only working fast . What happened with athers and what can i do ?
That linkage clip is no longer available from Amazon, will universal, c-shaped ones work?

My car same as yours. But when I replaced my motor my wipers work but when they stop, they are in the upright position. What happened?
If they stop in upright position sounds like you need to take them off when in that position and place them back horizontal. Sounds like you removed them from an upright position then put them horizontal. Give it a g o.
It means upright is the rest position, kids played with the switch while you were not looking . Put them off and pull them out of the upright position and place them in the horizontal.
Do i def need the removal tool or is there another way to take wiper arm off?
Tap with a hammer, make sure you leave the nut on the end of the thread. Tool makes easier and less likely to break anything.

Motor came today, cant get wipers into the up position as motor thats on car has nothin left in it to move them at all, also tried pulling them up while wiper set to on. So cant get puller on properly to remove wiper

What grease did you use ? The one I have is not good with rubber.
Good or bad just used lithium
