The man “taking care” of Billy IS his dad (Max’s stepdad), that’s why Billy resents Max so much, his dad shows him no love but he accepts his new family
A big part of why Billy dislikes Max so much is probably the fact that if Max does something wrong, Billy probably bares the consequences for it. Max’s mom would probably leave Billy’s dad if he touched Max like that, and he probably knows it, so he takes all of his anger out on Billy. Just such a fucked up situation for all of them, expect the dad… He can choke on a cactus.
@@TheSofkujepanen I would hope that, just seeing how Billy's dad treats him would get Max's mom to leave and take both kids with her. Yeah, Billy's his son, but with the way he's treated. 😬
The amount of closure we got at the end of this season is really nice, I know when I first saw I was just so happy that Barb's family got closure. They may never know the truth, but at least they aren't still looking for her... the whole idea of them not knowing was so sad to me.
Out of all reactors I have seen, for Stranger Things, I feel you "get" the show the most, and although you don't know it now, you ask very relevant questions ;))
At the very end when it flips to the upside down I like how the creature is standing over the school as the song's lyrics "Oh can't you see, you belong to me." play out. Very subtle but such a strong point.
I was gonna point that out. At first you just think classic 80s love song. Then you realize the lyrics, “I’ll be watching you…” as the Mind Flayer looms over in the Upside Down.
This show is so good. That’s really all I can say, and Steve’s development is insane- they did a great job turning his character around. Also! You should definitely watch Schitts Creek - it’s a sitcom and it is so hilarious and good - I think you would love it!!
There is nothing wrong with the sister episode. I think the reason most people were not a fan of it is the placement. It was terrible to place it AFTER the cliffhanger of the previous episode. I think it should have came before and when she checks on Hopper, we get a glimpse of what is happening, but without any context so you're excited to find out what happens in the next episode. Placing it right there before the lab is overrun was soooo stupid.
The great thing about this series is that it matches my experience of the 80s. It’s like they really did a lot of homework to bring back that look and feel I can’t wait for the next season. It’s one of my favorites.
I knew this one would be hard for me to watch but i was so looking forward to it, i was one who didnt watch it when it first came out so the memory of bob is still fresh 😢 cant wait for you to get through the rest 💕

I absolutely love the Kali episode, and honestly think Kali's perspective is very understandable. It's not just about her "choosing the wrong path": it's about how she literally has no one in a position of power and influence who can help her, meaning her choices are much more limited to either running or vengeance. Whereas El not only has a community of friends like Kali has found, but also the Chief of Police who's in with the government, a friend who is also intimately connected to the Upside Down and is therefore valuable to that government... she has options and power beyond her abilities that Kali simply doesn't. Kali's friends were sadly flat (more like 80s psa caricatures than people lol) but I really hope Kali comes back in the final season to save Jane and and have a chance to use her powers in new ways.
The friends might have been a bit flat, but I think that was also due to the genre that episode was paying homage to? And either way I love them and MILD SPOILER I wish we got to see more of them. I'm sure the Duffer Brothers would be able to surprise us the same way they did with Steve and some other characters
Season 3 really ramps up the intensity. It's my favorite of the four right now. Season 4 is great, but i think it starts to jump the shark a bit and goes a bit too far.
I’m so glad you liked episode 7, so many people overlook this whole season because they didn’t like this ONE episode. While I agree that it was kind of displaced, I truly think people wouldn’t hate it if this episode was spread out in other episodes or the episode would be before “the spy”.
I have a newfound respect for Bob (already had tons) ever since watching Stranger Things The First Shadow. The play gives SO much background info, and Bob is a main character there. It totally scared the frick out of me, but it was worth every damn jump scare.
20:19 when Will says “you’re mom”, to me it actually sounds more like what’s controlling him is the one who had to think and then tell Will that it’s “your mom”. Which was confirmation to Joyce that he didn’t recognize her. Hopefully that makes sense and it wasn’t already obvious to everyone 😂 Idk if it was an intentional direction or not but I love it
I love how things work out here, like, a bon jovi song when she got off the bus in the city, and now she’s married to his son sadly too many homeless are mentally ill… not magic though(: I agree with you mate but also he’s only 18 and still in high school I think or just finished, and in an abusive household in a small town in the 80s… not excusing just an explanation… sean astin asked for his death to be as gruesome as possible and that’s also why they postponed it as much as they could because they liked him notice the stocking for Tews :p mews two, tews

Hawkins is fictional, but it's generally set in the central western or southwestern part of Indiana. The city Eleven went to was Chicago. About a 4 hour drive by car, which means 8 hours by bus.

People hate on the episode with 8 so much, but I think it's very important for building El's character development; and also I think it might become important later. Yes, the pacing is different because we're only with one side of the story for a short time after a huge cliffhanger, but I think people are way too harsh on this first episode of this week.

I think they should have sped up Eleven's story throughout the season so that we could have had episode 7 before episode 6. I don't hate the episode, but I do hate how they just completely kill the momentum.
