    Cybersecurity is a major with good job potential. I feel like what he said is just one part of the story, and the reality is that Valorant is not a very rewarding game. You can quickly get bored of it once you have reached the heights, unless you are a frustrated, lifeless competitive FPS addict. He probably got a good job offer in cybersecurity with a much more promising career and future. When he started streaming, he was probably struggling to find his place in the job market, so he had more free time for his hobbies. But in reality, no one would throw away a college degree they worked hard to earn. I think it's a reasonable decision from him.

    • @otysafiry
      @otysafiry 2 месяца назад +59

      He actually worked in Cybersecurity before streaming. I believe for Tinder and Uber both. So he has the credentials to get a new job fairly easily and he's continued coding throughout his streaming career coding stuff for his discord and his stream that may help him for other job opportunities honestly. His whole discord/streaming bot he helped create is something he can use to show off, even if he isn't the only one working on it, he has helped with it's creation and may put him in the position of landing a team lead position if he can coordinate a tool like that.

    It's sad, honestly. Whooj was a very good beginner and "noob" friendly coach, because his explanations were not insanely hard to grasp. Even for high ranks he was still a great coach, but it's such a shame that some stupid drama led to such a drop in his view rate. I kinda wish he'd just take the opportunity to step away from the game for a while and then come back as a "certified" Radiant, but I think I'm dreaming by now.

      @@Dafreshcut it's more the fact he tries to force change some peoples playstyles instead of perfecting how they already play if someone is stuck in gold 2 and play in a certain way that means IF they are coached to master their own playstyle climbing is easier but in some cases he'll just tear down their playstyle and force some stupid play or rotation that no one uses and is MAYBE useful in some cases but very rarely

      @@KRISHARYA-qv9tl I literally called it. He never seemed to be the kind of guy who could actually put the effort into these mentally-demanding tasks, so I strongly doubted he would EVER hit Radiant when he WASNT EVEN PUTTING IN THE WORK IN THE FIRST PLACE. This guy is sorta like me in the sense that HE COMPLETELY LACKS TALENT, and instead he's desperately trying to use his brain.
      This guy also seems really indecisive (or a liar?). He has been claiming he'll hit Radiant while not even doing 1% of the work that it takes to actually HIT Radiant. For such a knowledgeable guy to make such an ignorant blunder is interesting.... it would make sense if he at least started trying at first and then gradually stopped trying to improve but he hasn't even been trying from the start.
      Obviously, it's just a video game. If that's what makes him happy, great. But he was basically leading everyone on until this moment. Now, I don't find his content interesting in the slightest. He seems to have been trying really hard to maintain his views, but the programming and AI stuff he has done seemed to be extremely short-lived solutions considering that this isn't something most people would find interesting. He seemed to lack direction any time I hopped on to his streams.
      Hopefully through quitting he finally finds what it is that he wants to do.

    Personally, I find it odd that people were upset about him claiming to be a Radiant coach. He has successfully coached players to reach Radiant rank, including the player who boosted his own account to Radiant. This achievement alone validates his credentials as a Radiant coach.
    Consider the NFL: the best football coaches often cannot play at an NFL level, yet they are still considered top-tier coaches. Similarly, Hooj has the potential to reach Radiant if he focuses on it. Therefore, the controversy seems illogical to me.
    In his position, I would likely have done the same. The only difference is that if asked directly about my Radiant status, I would provide the full story. However, I don't blame him for avoiding this-it would be tedious to explain repeatedly.

      Controversy ceases to be illogical when he's attempted to grind for radiant and failed to do so (given that he deranked it with an 0.8kd on Omen his main role when he first got it boosted and that he failed after many hours of grinding with raze). NFL coaches analogy is a false analogy in the world of Ranked Gaming because he isn't being held back by physical or genetic limitations like that of NFL coaches to their players. Sure he's a good coach but it makes full logical sense that he quit on the grind. Because he himself realised he could not do it and that radiant is actually an impressive feat unobtainable to him as he isn't able to see or implement the nuances that other radiant coaches see. (you can see this when radiants vod review him).

    The one thing I truly dislike about Woohoojin is that he used to charge people an insane amount of money for vod reviews (800 to 2k. There are screenshots of him doing this if you read the post). I wish people brought this up more often. He scammed people who genuinely believed he was a radiant coach. What do you know, the way he taught, is the way he played, and thus, couldn't actually accomplish his goals.
