Its about time, you've honed your skills to near perfection over the years, and quite frankly with how much you've contributed to the community before it grew into the relative juggernaut it is today I don't think anyone deserves this more than you.
Let me thank you for your comment. I accidentally clicked on this video, meant to scroll down. And I was gonna immediately hit the back button. But before that happened, as the video was slowly loading, I read your comment. I thought to myself "Hey, I like Mario 64....sure, I'll let this video play out." . Turns out, BowserTheSecond, you're totally on to something here! This game looks really good!
A Mario 64 hack creator making an original game AND working with a team that sought to make a Sonic fangame who then made THEIR own original game. Couldn't be a more perfect match! Hope you reach your goal! Wishlisted :D!
Lmao I saw this in my recommended and didn’t even see the channel name and my first thought within the first few seconds is “wow that looks like how Brodute does color/textures” for his hacks. This looks fantastic, I’ll pledge
The level design, the mechanics, the aesthetics, even the sound of the music, every single bit of this game just screams the later Star Revenge games and SM64 Decades Later, and I say that as the greatest compliment I can muster. Seeing every skill you honed throughout your many hacks being applied to an original game is a truly magical experience, and I can’t wait to be there when it’s fully completed.
As a composer and musician I see things like this and imagine the music I'd do for the game before I watch the trailer and let me just say WOW whoever made this literally hit the nail on the head. So good, and so accurate to the style and whimsy I was hearing in my own head! Can't wait to hear the rest of the ost!
Wow, this looks so good and accurate that it looks like it could have been built off the Mario 64 source code, like a _really_ extensive pc port mod or something. That's not surprising I guess though given this guy's very long and extensive history making Mario 64 hacks, so of course he could perfectly replicate the look, design, and feel in an original game like this and build beyond that! Really impressive off this trailer so far.
Gonna try my best and pledge sometime soon! Your design is phenomenal and I'm so SO excited to see you working on a real kickstarter project! Really hoping for the best with this! Decades later was one of my favorite games of the year and it definitely cemented to me that you're absolutely able to make independent stuff outside of romhacking. Here's to hoping you get the success you deserve!
I've played all the star revenge hacks ever since the first one released when I was in middle school. SM64 hacks and their creators have been a big part of that phase of my life so me supporting on kickstarter to me is like giving a bit back to you and to the community. Good luck with the project! It looks like it flows super well and it will be very fun to platform in.
I'm SO GLAD you're branching out from rom hacks and making your own stuff! It's about time people pay you for your work (and everyone else's!), because I've played your hacks for many many years now. Will certainly pledge for the game, best of luck on the work!!
I wish I had money because I'm beyond hyped for this. Though I at least added it to Steam wishlist. Admittedly I'm not a fan of the modern trend of making jump movement 1:1 with ground movement and having the character turn on a dime in mid-air, but here I don't think it feels too bad. I think the contributing factor to that is how low the regular jump is, even compared to the long jump of all things. I also really liked how the long jump feels, it's similar to the Odyssey version but it feels better in a way that's hard to describe. You can even wall jump from a long jump! I honestly had a blast just long jump everywhere and it really made me feel like a frog, lol. The only thing is that I feel like there's a move missing like a dive or something to do in mid-air that doesn't kill your momentum. I'm also really excited to see how the hard levels are going to look. Modern games are way too afraid to give players a proper challenge and I'd love to see some particularly evil levels in this game (though I feel like I'm going to regret this statement later ^^;).
Frogger: The Great Quest if it was actually good: Seriously, seeing those mushrooms, that was all I could think of. Memes aside, this looks FANTASTIC, I'll be giving the Demo a shot for sure!
To se this makes me so happy, one of the best mario 64 hackers with their own original gameI hope you will get all the funding you need, this game will be awesome ❤️
Bro please make sure your maps have random and useless secret areas, you gotta nail that ambient vibe of a secret area where you just stare out to the ocean like that golden bird in Noko Bay. Gonna play this asap
Level design and gameplay like a Nintendo game but with graphics like a Sega Saturn game. Looks good!, it's always nice to see new charming 3D platformers being develop. Mostly for not lose the fun from the past.
@brodute absolutely incredible mechanics and gameplay!! but: did i miss the demo-"end"? i got 2 gems and 20 coins in autumnal crossoming, frogalia seaside (2, 0), pollywog spire (6, 160), shardshroomgoon (5, 149+8 special coins) and clubmorial tower (4, 106 incl. pressed switch)...did i miss out on any coin/gem? makes a total of 19 gems (+ like about 6 non on screen shown collected question marks) and about 4/5 closed gates...is there no final message or so? (:
@BroDute ok, really nice! just revisited it...the bus is placed a little bit to close to border stone, as you can get stuck/floating in between...luckily you get a bit of height using the spinning move and so can get free... do you have a total (gold) coin amount or list already? (:
Its about time, you've honed your skills to near perfection over the years, and quite frankly with how much you've contributed to the community before it grew into the relative juggernaut it is today I don't think anyone deserves this more than you.
I just pledged to the highest tier! You are my favourite Mario 64 hacker and your level design has always been impeccable.

Sure works having a distinct style of modelling -w-
@@DylanBanning23i dont think so...
@TheJayKayA why?
@@Tal12075 umm...seems like, the original comment was maybe deleted? i didnt tag OP, so cant tell anymore, what the statement, i denied, was about...
@TheJayKayA He said that is distinct type of texturing is good.

I played about two hours of the demo. It's surprisingly polished and full of charm. Great work!
As a composer and musician I see things like this and imagine the music I'd do for the game before I watch the trailer and let me just say WOW whoever made this literally hit the nail on the head. So good, and so accurate to the style and whimsy I was hearing in my own head! Can't wait to hear the rest of the ost!
The frog coins are giving me biggest Chameleon Twist 2 flashbacks and i love it
I thought this was gonna be Star Revenge Decades Later but this is even better can't wait to play 😎

Ooo I'll have to check the demo out, looks sick! So glad you're able to work on a project that is uniquely yours!
First time ever hearing of/seeing of this.
I’m sold. Looks awesome.
Chameleon Twist 3 was not on my prediction list this year, but here we are.
congrats to the team for the artistic and sound direction, they hit the nail right on the head on so many things!
I checked out your demo, and it was pretty fun! And as a SM64 enjoyer, I already backed it.

Rarely a trailer invokes such childlike happiness in my retail-wearied brain.

Totally going to support this project, looks awesome!
The way he dancing on it at the end, jeeeeeze

Did someone say "3D Collecathon"?
Nope. We said 3D Collectathon.
you are one of my favorite hack creators of all time, and every time i see something new, youve outdone yourself, bravo!
00:37 Ah, I see you have played Mario sunshine as well.
Looks awesome! Ill be checking out the demo!
Super excited to play this! It already looks/sounds incredible, and Brodute is master of platforming level design

this is the best star revenge so far
Very cool to see that your're making your own game with a team of talented people after years of hacking mario 64!
Good luck and god speed!
This is absolutely insane, i grew up playing so much star revenge, I can't believe were getting an original game 😭😭
Great job brodute!!
The seagull is clearly the main villain of the game. Looks lux ❤
I just finished the demo and I wanted to play more. You have a great game there and I can't wait to play it again when it releases.
Phenomenal! This is the kind of game that the industry has forgotten about. Thank you for keeping it alive.
This looks, amazing! Just watching filled me with joy, like how I felt as a kid.
Cool to see Galaxy Trail partnering up with someone! Looks cute! Good luck on your Kickstarter!

Wow, this looks... absolutely amazing. We might actually have a masterpiece on our hands! Wishlisted!
I was just thinking that I wish more fangame creators would make original games! Awesome to see this!
I watched the trailer on Twitter randomly and thought "huh that looks like Star Revenge" now I'm even more excited
This looks lovely, I'm definitely interested in a potential PS5/Switch port. I especially like the environments, that autumn stage looks so cozy.
A retro style 3d platformer? In this economy? Sign me up
Looks cool. Classic 3D platformer. I’ll wishlist. Hope y’all the best.

This is very beautiful, I hope you have much success.
Retro 3d platformer with many levels...looks like my kind of game I already backed in kick starter 😁
If mario 64 and chameleon twist had a cousin this would be it, this looked really fun.
It's like that one frogger game but it looks really nice
hell yes. I miss collectathon games so much
Wow this looks really impressive! I played Mario 64 Decades Later earlier this year and loved it so I know this’ll be a banger of a game

This looks great! A little stiff so I hope im wrong or that gets sorted out but apart from that... I cant wait!
I saw tongue mechanics and got my hopes up that it'd be like chameleon twist 2 for the n64. It looks like a very cute game.

There is a bus that shows up at the bus stop with 19 shards. In v1.0 it isn't as clear, in the newer version it's more noticeable that it's there.

Do I need to play the previous 63 Kero Quest games to play this one?
Can we consider a Kero redesign? One that looks more 64 ish? And maybe a bit cooler? Like that ninja frog from Pokemon?
