  • In this video I show how I installed and wired two additional flush mount ceiling light fixtures with standard sockets to my garage ceiling. These two light fixtures are tied into the existing light and switch.
    I am not a professional. Install fixtures like these at your own risk. They are working well for me and I consider this an easy project. I love the additional brightness of my garage!

    Great idea! I would like to install at least 10 new sockets though for detailing/polishing my cars in the garage.

    Question: any concerns the bulb over the garage door getting to hot n worping/melting the door? Other then that great project

    This should be called "How not to wire a fixture." Where's your junction box, and pigtails? You wires those in a series. What happens when one of those fixtures goes out? You won't have a clue which one it is.

    Black is not positive. You’re not dealing with DC, you’re dealing with AC. That’s a hot leg.

    That was a waste of time for the lights you installed.Try an LED shop light, one would give off more useable light than what you have there. Nice work though.
