Great review again. When you talk about practicality on all your reviews, can you include if the seat has 4 way adjustable head rest (up/down, front back/) or just 2 way adjustable ? Thanks
I love it and I would definitely agree with your statement about that level of trim being in a premiumly priced vehicle. With5 kids, The sacrifice with having 3rd row seats is the lack of boot space. Thankfully we don't have to carry a pram anymore but if we are all going shopping I'll have to take a 2nd car for the groceries.
Wife just got a new Kona., Saw the Santa Fe in the dealership when we collected her car. I think they look awesome and totally not what I'm typically drawn to. Would buy (if I had the bucks)!
i have a friend who has a 2023 range rover, and the interior spec is SO similar! if you had shown me this interior a year or two ago, it would take me a while to determine this isnt a range rover. im genuinely impressed by the interior
The front looks like an early 90's Discovery, the side like an old Nissan Pathfinder and the rear like a 90's Suzuki Swift that's been rear-ended by a Mack truck. But hey, this is Australia and people will by this as its so different.... $75k for a Hyundai ? I'll wait for the $150k Mahindra....
This should be rebranded as “Sand Lover” Let me explain. Clearly, it’s “inspired” by Land Rover. When you want to imitate but you cannot be too obvious. Land = Sand Rover = Lover On a serious note, a unique design but my wife disapproves the rear look. She asked if this is an upgraded “undertaker” van to transport deceased. 😢
I drive these just about every day as a detailer at a Hyundai dealer. I personally prefer my older Santa Fe to drive but the interior of the new ones is just brilliant, particularly in the six seat configuration with the second row being two captains seats. Just one thing as a detailer with 40 years experience, I’d steer clear of the matte finish. You can’t clean it off with polish. Any scratches or marks cannot be buffed or you lose the matte finish. I’d go for standard paint and save yourself $1000.
Remote key should be designed boxy too. The shape of key looks outdated and doesn't match the brilliant shape of the vehicle and too many buttons in a small space
The gearbox issues in the US relate to the 2.5l turbo engine with a dct gearbox The Hybrid version come with a traditional auto, so finger crossed this version is free from issues.
With the the exterior design, l like that they haven’t gone for the fake headlight design that is seen in a lot of new generation Hyundais, but the rear end design for me lets it down. I say this because it will take awhile to grow on you. Reminds me of the rear end of a truck with that low horizontal light design which is for a purpose, like on pantech trucks. Does it have air vents for the middle row, l couldn’t see them?
Honestly what more do you need from a vehicle ? This is loaded, well thought out and very practical but most importantly it is affordable for the masses. It makes other automakers look overpriced.
It looks like completely two different designers designed the front and back of the vehicle, the front looks gorgeous but the back of car looks terrible!
This car is so interesting and so different from previous shapes of Santa Fe... interesting they kept the name for such a different looking vehicle! Initially it looks like a Range Rover mixed with a family van... I love so many components to it, especially the built in privacy blind as a shade for our daughter. We don't particularly like the fussing with the 'automatic safety control' components that you had to do. We should be able to switch them on if we want them on, rather than having to turn them off to not use them - for us such things as lane assist feel more dangerous. I'd be keen to try this vehicle out on a roadtrip around NZ with my family as it looks like fun.
Great review once again, thanks Paul! I'd buy one. I'd prefer a diesel if they release it. Like everyone else I think the rear is hideous which seems to be hidden by darker colours. They definitely ripped off the Landrover styling. It's a win in my book. I'd buy the Elite variant. I prefer the wheels on the lower spec versions.
Had to stop watching 21 minutes in due to the amount of so called safety features which I would have to switch off every time I got into the vehicle. Finally managed to get a module for the Raptor to fix the issue with stop start and have the lane keep assist feature sorted so that it remembers the last action and not require deactivating every time I get in the vehicle….. deal breaker
I don't need this much space, which is why I'm getting a Kona, but if I did need the space this has features that would make it the option I might choose.
Great design and good looking ❤
Love the look of it.

Its a winner !!!
2025 santa fe hybrid SEL for Christmas
Daihatsu Charade rear end 👌🏽
My Precious…
Rear end looks like its been inspired by a 1990's VW Kombi...
Its a shame Australian stock dont have the light bar
The back looks like a 1 dimensional under armour symbol - dyllion 2024
Back looks like an old ssangyong front land rover

They murdered the potential of that car with this back
No they didn't.
@user-je7ih1wo9c Maybe for kidnappers and car porn filmers, it won't.
Looks good I must say. I love it.

It's just like a they model it from Lego bricks.

It’s definitely growing on me
i love this design shiet
fuel economy as claimed?
Wow , the car looks small, you're a big guy,
No air vents for the second row ? WTF
There are, on the b pilar
@MikeyyPham Thanks, you're correct.
Great to see a different design SUV. Would love to see this in a small version.
Finally!! A car company that had recognised the problem with wireless charging… protruding camera lenses! Bravo Hyundai 🎉
carplay is not working with cables
Looks like a Kerosene can. 😊
Love a v6 or dirty diesel to maybe give more room in boot and raise the taillights 🤢
Looks like a Kia Carnival and Land Rover had a baby
Looks like a range rover P38.
Se they stole Range Rover steering wheel!😆
Looks like a range rover flog off...but a bold move
Really nice looking until you get to the rear and those tail lights ruined it
This should be rebranded as “Sand Lover”

Land = Sand
Rover = Lover

The Santa Fe that makes other cars look old-fashioned.
Hyundai Discovery Prado
mini bus?
The landrover that hyundai got right :) I wish it was good offroad, it would smash the competition.
This design is a hilariously obvious copy of Land Rover’s Discovery 4.
I saw this today
Interior is amazing
But the exterior is such a letdown
Great review
Door closing sound is not solid
Bring a 4x4 to the market, come on! If it was lifted and offroad tyres with twin locks. Wow
The back looks like minivan from the 90s

Omg I have been looking at the matte white one and didn't even think of this. Thankyou!
Rear looks more like a Van
can you review the Ineos Grenadier Trialmaster
When is it coming to south africa
Took it for a test drive and it’s incredible. Purchasing one at the end of the year.
I love the retro futuristic design from the back
Tail end is ugly but id choose those over the new triton any day
Hyundai santa fe vs kia sorento? Which one more better?
There's just no excuse for the back. Heads need to roll for such a decision.
Remote key should be designed boxy too. The shape of key looks outdated and doesn't match the brilliant shape of the vehicle and too many buttons in a small space
I love the design and will buy one if I can afford
Lol cant afford a hyundai ?
no airvents in the middle row?
that rear end design is a big spoiler. Looks like a van to me
wtf is 'carwash' mode?!?!
What I love about that one is 637 miles on a tank of gas for the Hybrid
That interior is absolute darn art...
Head up display and semiauto cruise are great also
wow. i would love to have one here in South africa
Looks like a hearse
I love mine.
A BYD Sealion 6 review would be great
No
Agreed! They can’t get us one for another month or two.
Massive gear box problems in the US.
Mutton dressed as lamb

Aren't all the USA ones built in the USA, So different factories to Aus delivered.

Where's the gear shifter
Looks like a land rover
Hyundai need a new badge .... the current one looks like it was designed by the same designers as the Excel
The car Homer designed. Such a nice car except for the whole backend.
Looks like something Jason Bourne spins 360 on the streets of Italy escaping the KGB
Im really impressed with Hyundais daring designs. Just something different to look at over drab looking Toyota's.
Looks like a hearse ⚰️🪦
love it, if only it was higher and had a more powerful engine, id buy it the next day
Guy is tall that this big car looks small😂
I wish they had a bit more towing capacity. If it had 2 tonne towing it would have been perfect
One step fix for the unwanted safety stuff .... cover the camera in the windscreen
I think that then brings a bunch more beeps and bongs 😂
future classic - im calling it
😂 in what way?
Waiting for Offroad
I reckon these look great. I'd love to get one with say, a 350kw V8. That'd be baller.
The rear end styling will stop me from buying one. Can’t deal with it…
Honestly what more do you need from a vehicle ? This is loaded, well thought out and very practical but most importantly it is affordable for the masses. It makes other automakers look overpriced.
In glad you are wealthy enough to think this is affordable
The Mahindra Scorpio is $15000 less
It looks like completely two different designers designed the front and back of the vehicle, the front looks gorgeous but the back of car looks terrible!
I’m conflicted. Santa Fe or Kia EV9??
They just can make it look better from the back by hanging the spare tire 🛞 with sexy plastic cover and it will be astonishing
I can’t say I’m a fan of the outside design….
"download some stuff from the internet that'll turn all that stuff off." ..... asking for a friend.. but where might one look for such things?
whats the RPM at highway speed?
Xuv 700 has more room than this
Finally you bring the Santa Fe review 🎉🎉🎉
Wow a new SantaRover 😂

22:59 Is that a tear in the seat?
