if you guys ever run out of storage space in your warehouse you can send me one of these books (maybe this one) and i'll keep it safe for you until your storage warehouse gets bigger. then the day before i turn 99 years old i'll post it back to you i promise.
Thanks for making books that match the passion a lot of us have for the games and those involved with their creation! I still haven't gotten around to posting all the ones I own yet either! I'm hoping to get the run and gun book this holiday season. My dream book is to see you publish a SHMUP/ STG history with lots of background lore on the companies, game series, and vehicle art.
Japan definitely likes its ghost and monster stories. The weird thing is a lot what I've encountered of it is just straight CoC too, no reinterpretations into a more familiar environment or aesthetic.
I honestly can't think of any! Even non- tabletop games. There was a Rurouni Kenshin rpg on the original playstation decades ago. There was the Way of the Samurai game series on the PS2 that were set specifically in that time period. There's the Last Blade fighting games from SNK, but I believe those were set right before the fall of the Tokugawa, if my rusty old memory serves me correctly.
Thanks so much for covering our books 🙌

@@ObscuritiesinMiniature thank you, very much appreciated 🤩
For the record, I enjoy the Obscurities in literature. And have perchased a number of the books you've shown (or already had them).
👍👍 Massive books...
Yeah, in Japan CoC got big compared to D&D. I think yokai/ghost stories are why it took off.

@@ObscuritiesinMiniature No games set in the late Meiji era? That's a bit surprising.
