  • After having a property dispute with my neighbor, I decided it was time to hire a professional to find the property lines. After determining the corners, I decided to personally build corner markers so there would be no misunderstandings as to their location. I had fun making these concrete posts and strongly suggest you try making them yourself.

In my country, this is illegal. You can not willfully disturb property monuments like this. You need an actual surveyor.

I paid a surveyor a lot of money to have this property surveyed, and I contacted a real estate lawyer on my right regarding marking the properties. I fully covered my bases and I am sorry that your country is less accommodating when it comes to their citizens and their property and happiness.

@EastRiverHomestead in case of Germany property markings are technically owner by the state and you can get fined up to 10k€ for removing or messing with one.
Your case would probably be a minor fine if any, your neighbours would probably be around 2k as she didn't actively mess with the markings (changing the locations of them)

@@c0rvu5albu55 She has been surveying the property pins in the middle of the night with her metal detector. She started to dig, what she thought was a marker, and it unearthed a large crow bar that my grandfather had lost decades ago. It was over halfway submerged in the earth so, she couldn't pull it out. She's a strange woman and I feel bad for her.

Paige, I could listen to your voice for hours. Your accent is beautiful. So happy that you gained so much extra land. In Britain the new builds don’t have very much space in the gardens. Any outdoor space is so beneficial. I am blessed with the size gardens of my terraced council 1970’s home. This year I raised an area of my front garden, I used all the broken fences to give stability to the base, put mesh fencing around it and covered it with every stone I dug up when I put in the flowerbeds. The fence is held up by two stripped down rotary washing lines. I now have a patio and so many people give compliments and stop for a brief chat. I struggle with all types of mental health illnesses so a brief chat is good for me to feel I am part of the real world but not overwhelming. I never leave my home and garden as I have severe agoraphobia though I go out a few times a year with one of my sisters. I am so inspired by you and Sofia for showing us ways to do things and just to go ahead and have a go. Lots of love and blessings to you and your family xx

You are a very sweet lady and I do hope you overcome your issues. Do you have photos of your garden? I would like to see it.

@@EastRiverHomestead I’ll try to sort that out in the New Year as I’m not too savvy with technology. It will be a new skill to learn xx

did it work? did she respect what he said? our neighbor didn't, got two days from our court date before he moved his fence.

She is not made at me. She is just mad at the world and I was her closest target. She had been milling around in the back yards looking for the property pins and I am not sure why. I found the holes she's been making while looking for them. She's very strange.

Nice project. I am looking to do something similar. Why did you decide to remove the vinyl fence post forms from the finished concrete core? Couldn't it have been left in place and painted with high visibility stripes?
