Was not expecting a BTS right away! Congrats to everyone behind this awesome project. Thank you for all the hard work and for the joy you've brought to OKGO fans today.
1:41 My boyfriend and I got into an argument because he said that there weren’t 64 iPhones on the video, so we counted and it was actually 63. I cannot stress enough how mesmerized I was when I realized that the iPhone number 64 was actually recording it all
"We invested all this time and effort into this, so that you could have three minutes of wow in your day and a real sense of joy about other humans in the world." Goal achieved, as it has been for over 15 years (for me at least) :). Thank you for helping OK Go with this.
Moments like this remind us of the amazing things we can achieve through collaboration. OK Go made the magic happen-we're just excited to share how project management made it possible!
The Project Management Institute was the last place i expected to find the BTS of an Ok Go video 😂 I used to go to their website to get a certification for work
OK Go is the epitome of organization, it does make perfect sense. It's hard enough to even wrap your head around the concept, let alone plan it all out and execute it to perfection like they always do.
Isn’t it incredible what can happen with great teamwork and planning? This project is an inspiring example of how project management shows up in unexpected places to make the impossible possible. So glad it made your day!
It would be three minutes of WOW, except I keep re-watching it. So far I'm up to 30 minutes of WOW. Plus the 2:47 from this video. Great job! It makes my brain hurt a little.
I was just showing my art classes "OK Go" videos this morning to inspire them to be dedicated to their craft! This is perfect! Beautiful work! Keep inspiring!
Dropping the mv AND the BTS right away?? You guys are spoiling us. But yes, I definitely had great minutes of wow. Over and over again. The whole thing is nothing but impressive and amazing in every way. Wow, indeed. Thank you guys so much for reminding us humans are truly magical and for being such a nurturing force for good. ❤️
It’s amazing how simple, yet brain-breakingly complex this is. Anyone can shoot a video on their iPhone. If you have the resources, doing 2 videos side by side isn’t too difficult, it might take some tries, but you’ll get it. When you get to four it starts getting complex. Going to up to 63, plus nested videos that you ALSO need to line up is just actual insanity. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around how you would start planning this. But man is it ever mesmerizing! I had to rematch a few times to hear the song because I kept getting utterly mesmerized.
I was wondering while watching the video if there were secret cuts in the transitions, because the planning and dedication necessary to get those nesting effects seemed so outrageous. Absolutely amazing to hear that the videos really were all one take! You accomplished something really incredible.
actually. i don't dare to watch the whole MV. everytime i watch stuff it makes me think how it was made. and watching that MV just overwhelmed me with how much i see the ideas. the efforts the time. the creativity.. you guys are just too much😂🎉🎉🎉
something i always find funny in OK GO videos is when they begin it with something impressive but reasonable, and then it just keeps escalating until by the end you almost question if it's even real lmao,,
Something really underappreciated is how truly interconnected we are. No monumental technical achievement like this video is ever just done by a single person, but because of the work of millions of people over tens of thousands of years to get to this point. With achievements like this video, we are lucky enough to have that interdependence in plain view, and we can see clearly how the visionaries aren't just the artists with the initial ideas, but also the artists, craftspeople, and infrastructure workers needed to keep a large organization running. Thank you for this BTS video. If there are more than about 6 people working together, you need at least one of them to know something about project management
Frankly, I would love to see even more detail. I mean, I'm not doubting that this PMI worked hard with their contribution, but I was really hoping to see some specifics!
I'm so glad we got to see the BTS right away. The video was so mesmerising and I could not fathom just how it was thought out and shot. An incredible effort from everyone!
My first video I saw of OK Go was "I Won't Let You Down" it blew me away so much that till today I can't forget about how they were able to pull off such a giant choreography in ONE TAKE. Sure never let me down xD
Everytime I watch one of these behind the scenes how them made em videos, without my realization, I have a huge grin on my face! Thanks for the effort. Love them. Please never stop ❤
Hearing “having a real sense of ‘joy’ of other humans in the world” is nice I really appreciate it. Have a great day/evening/night everyone. Sorry if things aren’t great right now. I hope they get better.
Once again I get to experience joy and wonder due to an OK GO mv. Thanks for all your hard work. Been here since the treadmills and will be here until the end spreading joy and creativity with you!
You boys are just incredible! Such hard work to take these ideas from ideas to what we get to enjoy and share with the people that matter to us. Thank you so much for all of this.
A project so complicated Damian needed more than his infamous spreadsheets! LOL! Truly amazing what your collaboration achieved and I hope you take a moment to enjoy the success and positive feedback for a job well done.
I want to thank OK GO for always bringing something wonderful and creative to inspire people. I have loved your videos since I saw you dancing on treadmills back in 2009. Keep doing unique things and being fantastic
This was amazing! It's one thing to see someone do some kind of greenscreen type effect (and you can always tell) to coordinate video on phones. The level of patience and dedication to getting this right had to be immense. It was so cool to see this BTS, watching people actually touch the screens to start the videos... Absolutely magical. Well done everyone!
1st...incredible song and the video! 2nd, as a project manager myself I won't be sleeping well without knowing how this incredible planning process went through. PMI, any chance we could see that?😇 3rd, my passion which is music and my current job met in very unpredictable circumstances 😅
Just watched the vid, and all of those hours were totes worth it. It's an amazing accomplishment and for sure brought some much needed joy to my morning. THANK YOU and a huge congrats to all involved. Big big love.
Thanks for posting this so soon after you released your video. Thanks for the information and thanks for the joy and the appreciation of your other human beings. My favorite artists are the ones who humanize.
Wow!!! I didn´t expect the PMI to be part of this!!! OK Go is one of my favorite bands, congratulations for the colaboration, great example of project management 👏
I have to admit, it's a pretty improbable collaboration but also one that makes sense. But also... whomever thought up this collaboration deserves a lot of kudos.
damn, i just saw the music video and i know whatyou did in thepast. so this is right down your alley, but it made my brain hurt so much, that i was only 80% sure you did this for real, and 20% that you faked it but astonishingly good. and now my brain hurts even more, because you actually did all that for real. seeing some of the storyboards makes it more accessible. 3 minutes of WOW is an understatement. this is 11/10
OKGO videos are my favorite videos on youtube, but I would never in a million years want to help make one. They all seem like torture in unique ways behind the scenes.
So happy to have the BTS. thanks! A tiny bit disappointed it wasn't a physical multi-phone rig filming the action somehow, but after they described the complexities it sounds like it was still plenty!
Honestly wish there was more about the filming of each video, this was really neat but felt more like a promo for PMI and a real "how it was done" video
I love how you point out that the process involved other creative humans because human connection is the energy that makes life worth living. AI generated content is soulless and lifeless. Create with others and know the joy of exploration through collaboration.
Couldn't help but think that the process for making the music video would look similar to time travelers trying to keep track of all their alternate timelines.
Was not expecting a BTS right away! Congrats to everyone behind this awesome project. Thank you for all the hard work and for the joy you've brought to OKGO fans today.
Cool project right? We're thrilled to have had the chance to celebrate their new video in this way!
Really cool to see how this incredible video came together!
I think it's by Ok Go not BTS

Did you tell him it is all just fine afterwards? :)
Holy shit that is genius. Goes to show you how we're spoiled for camera choice, if we couldn't realise that it was an iPhone recording everything
ha ...oh snap 🤯
If there's anything I've learned about okgo, it's that they don't count wrong
I only counted 42, 43 if you count the camera filming
"We invested all this time and effort into this, so that you could have three minutes of wow in your day and a real sense of joy about other humans in the world." Goal achieved, as it has been for over 15 years (for me at least) :). Thank you for helping OK Go with this.

“Anybody can have crazy ideas. The hard part is actually making them happen.”
Excellent insight from a lifelong creative.
It's funny how often people get that wrong. Ideas are the cheapest thing around!
The Project Management Institute was the last place i expected to find the BTS of an Ok Go video 😂 I used to go to their website to get a certification for work
Come for the cert, stay for the 🎶vibes🎶
I know!!! hahaha
OK Go is the epitome of organization, it does make perfect sense. It's hard enough to even wrap your head around the concept, let alone plan it all out and execute it to perfection like they always do.
Which part of their videos *aren't* a massive amount of project management? These guys are their poster children!
1043 takes in 8 days is crazy. The whole thing is insane! Well done to everyone working on the project!!! Really made my day.
Isn’t it incredible what can happen with great teamwork and planning? This project is an inspiring example of how project management shows up in unexpected places to make the impossible possible. So glad it made your day!

Why does every BTS of OK Go music videos feel like a university math course? 😆
I was just showing my art classes "OK Go" videos this morning to inspire them to be dedicated to their craft! This is perfect! Beautiful work! Keep inspiring!
Dedication is key! ❤
This was a genius collaboration idea lol - well done, Project Management Institute 👏🏼

Their dedication to making something incredible is unmatched!
no cuts, but there are fades from video footage to real life phone footage of course, which still means it's crazy and that it's one take

something i always find funny in OK GO videos is when they begin it with something impressive but reasonable, and then it just keeps escalating until by the end you almost question if it's even real lmao,,
Now I just believe that "magic" is more plausible answer than this baffling reality of tremendous engineering and planning.
Never disappointed with a OkGo video, they always come up with original and creative hard working videos, love them!!!
Not sure what I like better. The Video? Or the BTS Video. Bravo!
It's hard to pick! Both are equally captivating!

It's been 7 long years since obsession, and an even longer 10 since hungry ghosts. Glad to experience something new.
Happy to feed the obsession!
I've been waiting for this new OK GO's video for a really long time
Worth the wait, right? OK Go always delivers something unforgettable. What was your favorite part?
@@pmi part of 1:26~1:53(MV), Screen within screen within screen is really good
Yes. My god, same. ❤
Definitely a few mins of wow! I was so excited to see the bts come out same time! Definitely makes the videos even cooler
We love to hear that!
As a project manager who is borderline obsessed with OK Go this gives me immense joy and all the good feels. ❤❤❤❤
I'm so glad we got to see the BTS right away. The video was so mesmerising and I could not fathom just how it was thought out and shot.
An incredible effort from everyone!
Amazing Work to all! the video looks really sick!!!
1 awesome project... In Workfront.
BTS! Yay! Chill song. Much needed. Wow achieved.
Wow indeed!

I've never been so proud to be a PMP.
The music video *IS* amazing, and this BTS is also cool. Thank you OK Go and PMI for both!
Soon after started watching the OKGO video I wanted to see behind the scenes. Thank you for all your efforts!

Awesome video. You guys always put out really cool and unique videos!
Thank you! Teamwork and collaboration go a long way!
My brain can't even comprehend putting one of these sequences together let alone on the the intertwined ones.
"Three minutes of WOW" pretty much sums it up. these guys are so creative and talented - AND THEN THIS COMES ALONG AND IT'S WOW
I want to thank OK GO for always bringing something wonderful and creative to inspire people. I have loved your videos since I saw you dancing on treadmills back in 2009. Keep doing unique things and being fantastic
Wow! Just WOW!!! 🤯 OK Go NEVER disappoints! Incredible! 👏👏👏
Fantastic job by all concerned. Loved the final video and song. Thank you for sharing with us.
Three minutes of wow?? You underestimate yourselves
I know I'm not the only person who's watched it about 15 times by now. It's completely mesmerizing
These guys are absolute masters of the music video artform.

I just watched the video, and it really did feel like a little spark of magic
Until this moment, I've watched the original video 3 times and the BTS 2 times, so that's about 15 minutes of wow already.

Boggles the Mind. How this was Orchestrated. If only We could co-ordinate all our consciousness together for a moment, what could we achieve?

aside from everything else, I think this is the most technically impressive music videos I’ve ever seen
Brilliant!!
The video of course is the star of the show, but the song also hits really hard right now.
This is the crossover I never expected although it made a lot of sense.
얼마나 강한 실행력과 놀라운 시각과 창의력, 그리고 두려움에 맞설 수 있는 용기와 사랑이 있는지 감탄했습니다.

How on earth did you all get around moire patterns in the nested shots? It looks amazing, but that’s the one I can’t get my head around

Thank you all for existing in this weirdo timeline with us

How do they get the phones to perfectly sync up their respective videos? Is there a remote control for video playback on iPhones?
Amazing!!
Even watching the Behind The Scenes my brain can't still understand what's happening
I did a similar thing with a few Galaxy phones. This is next level. My god.
