In an age of slop content and AI generation used to make junk with zero magic, it feels so good to see OK GO back again and continuing to one-up themselves. It's been a hot minute since i've seen a video which captured the magic of old youtube and y'all definitely still have it.
Like in all OK GO, the start is almost always the easiest to do from an equipment point of view and also the easiest to fuck up because it's almost entirely human made. While the end is almost always the most controlled and resource intensive. In that video's case, they almost definitely shot their choreography, used a computer program to split it into 64 screens then continued back and forth to find cool visuals until they shot the video where they assemble 64 phones. The hard part must have been to press play on all videos at the same time... or maybe they are just remote controlling every phone through the charging cable. Still a lot of craft and imagination to produce it like this when a much easier way would have been to just use the phones as green screens and playback an ai video.
@@terry_the_terribleFrom what I can tell, those phones aren't just playing back a cropped version of a recording, but actually 64 separate separate uncropped videos (you can see how the background is the same across all phones).

Three years ago, I randomly showed my daughter an OK Go music video to show her something I thought she might find interesting. She immediately watched all the music videos and the behind the scenes and it brought me joy to hear her singing the songs around the house. It has made my day and brought a smile to my face to see there’s a new video out not just because it is a rare and genuine spark of artistry and ingenuity but because I know my daughter will love it and we’ll have something to bond over when she gets out of school today. Thank you!
I remember when "Here it Goes Again" came out and I was drowning in the fear of my brother's cancer diagnosis. After that "This too Shall Pass" and "Needing/Getting" and "Skyscrapers" swooped in when I was struggling, and all of these are great videos/songs and mind blowing efforts of work, but for me I can remember how each one has helped me on a journey out of a dark time. And now, in 2025, here it goes again. Thank you, guys, for sticking around and making something we can hang on to!
Upside Down and Inside Out did the same for me! They’re somehow both extremely magical and incredibly sincere, a balance I’m not sure many other people/bands can achieve.
Thank you for sharing mate. I also echo this...! 'I Won't Let You Down' was just released as I got married to my amazing wife... It was at the perfect time and became the background song to a lot of those moments. I remember during the time before the wedding showing the video and all the other ones released around the same time to my dad. As a mathematician he always loved the complexity and intricacy of all the OK Go videos and the thought and coordination that had to go into them (which was funny because he was the one that showed me ''Here It Goes Again'' back in the day). All these years later - my father has just passed away. I miss him every day but this song is that beautiful and understated reminder that things can be sad, it can be melancholy, but it's OK. It just is and there is peace in that to be found.
You ever listen to an OK Go album? they're masterpieces, people love their videos but nobody sits down and listens to an album start to end, and it's really worth it because its a great experience i'd recommend Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky, and Hungry Ghosts they also have a new album coming this year called And The Adjacent Possible
Major kudos to whoever first envisioned this AND was able to communicate it in a way that sounded even remotely coherent. Their originality remains unmatched!
Interesting metatextual theming between the lyrics and the idea of viewing endless screens in screens in screens. Watching the human form become increasingly more fractured and distorted as it progresses, despite the images on each individual screen getting closer and more detailed. Reading the lyrics and viewing it from that frame of reference this video is actually kind of depressing or at least melancholic. I love it.
Strangely upbeat despite the intended message. It certainly encapsulates the lingering sense of uncertainty and doom about the world right now. I think all of us are feeling disjointed and anxious in some way or another, while repeating "it'll be alright" like a prayer in the back of our heads. Another excellent piece for the repertoire.

2:56 with the two columns on the right is such a funny bit that I completely missed on my first time watching! So many cool moments all throughout this video, you've made something magical both in this video and in the song itself.
This video feels like a mix of the videos of "All Is Not Lost", "I Won't Let You Down", & "Obsession". Three times the creativity, three times the effort, & three times the beauty!
Yeah, it resonates with a lot of their work, but to me it's most directly the spiritual successor to "All Is Not Lost". Both aesthetically as well as the general messaging (even if more of a downer than an upper).
The best thing about OK GO isn’t just their videos. This song hits perfect in a difficult time. Thank you guys for your consistency and comforting music with great lyrics.

but this is just that... Art, done musically.
Thank you for reminding us a few days before the inauguration that a stone only rolls down hill. Love OK GO! I am grateful for the awe and positivity you bring. Loved the show in St. Louis!
OK Go - proves once again that creativity is BOUNDLESS!!!
I remembered being in 2011 and discovering OKGO …. 14 years later they are all still the same artistic people they were wow….. "End Love" clip was something !! Thank you for staying yourselves ♥️♥️
Your creativity has not dulled, only grown over the years.
I can't believe I'm able to watch a new okgo musoc video
Dude!!! I know right! For a moment I thought they ran out of ideas. And then.... BOOM! Another Masterpiece!
Gahd, the vision this group has is absolutely incredible. What a stunning exploration of visual media!!! Inspired!!
I know this has been out for just two days but this has gotta be one of my favourite music videos ever.
aaaaaa you can always count on OK Go to take an idea, run with it, and execute it with skill and wonder 💕
Damien must be really fkn good at spreadsheets by now
What an absolute piece of artwork. Thank you for the work everyone of you do.
I'm so glad the Nintendo 3Ds introduced me to this band.
Always loved the visual art and chill music from OkGo :')
3D white knuckles was so dang cool
That’s the most accurate depiction of how we will be able to perceive the 4th dimension .
Brilliant. As always.
I can't properly put into words just how much i needed this song, at this point in time. Thank you Ok Go 💜💛💜💛
once again, ok go not only has some of the coolest ideas for music videos, but they take them and push them to the absolute limit
I'm torn between wanting to cry in response to the song and wanting to focus on breaking down the "how" and the patterns in the video. Absolutely brilliant visual communication. Thank you, OK Go, for continuing to bless the world with your art.
2:56 with the two columns on the right is such a funny bit that I completely missed on my first time watching! So many cool moments all throughout this video, you've made something magical both in this video and in the song itself.
Not just that, the phones-in-phones also shift right and left to follow the rotation.
This video feels like a mix of the videos of "All Is Not Lost", "I Won't Let You Down", & "Obsession".
Three times the creativity, three times the effort, & three times the beauty!
WTF and Writing on the Wall too, with how they used their shirts as backgrounds and the set built around them!
OKGO/s addiction to making weird and probably maths heavy music videos that Slap is admirable and awsome
My brother just got diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in his liver two days ago. I really needed to hear this song. Thank you OKGO
My heart goes out to your family. Fuck cancer.
tell your brother to look into carnivore diet.
My heart goes to him.
รอคอยมานาน ได้ดูเอ็มวีใหม่แล้ว สร้างสรรค์ทุกผลงานจริงๆ
The spin at 1:50 makes me so happy but I can’t explain why
I’m 1:23 into the song and my mouth is still wide open…
Cool to see Ok Go creating more music, thought maybe they stopped, haven’t seen in a while. Aways amazing stuff!
64 phones + the millions of phones this will get watched on. Brilliant.
Great and now I'm crying ♥️ ♥️
