This sounds epic, larger than life. The mix of religion and Batman's psyche is everything. It almost from a horror movie. If this an official track for the movie I will wet myself.

I agree that it SOUNDS like trailer music, but the length has nothing to do with it. Spider-Man: No Way Home (also composed by Michael Giacchino) has a bunch of tracks shorter than this.
I've never been so hyped to watch a superhero movie before. There's something really different and special about this movie! This soundtrack is a masterpiece!

i have a feeling this will play during the third act. bruce probably realizes who riddler is, and then cuts to a flashback of bruce and his parents visiting an orphanage, riddler and the children's choir from the orphanage singing ave maria. that would hit SO HARD.
I love how the music PERFECTLY represents Batman's mental state in this movie, his rage is chaotic, *vengful* and unfocused but the mid part of the main theme shows Bruce healing and starts using Batman as a symbol of justice and hope.
They sound similar, but they’re different enough where it’s likely no more than a coincidence. It’s like how one of the the main themes in The Polar Express sounds similar to the Journey track from John Debney’s Elf score. It’s probably a simple enough part of music that it could be replicated without anyone realizing it. There’s even a moment from Two Steos From Hell’s “Magic of Love” that sounds similar to a part of the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban track “Buckbeak’s Flight” by John Williams.

Giacchino is just one notch away from being Brian Tyler level of pedestrian mediocrity. There was that picture floating around a little while ago of young Ed Nashton. He was part of a Children's Choir. Perhaps for an orphanage funded by the Wayne's. We later see that guy get blown up with the bomb collar in a Chruch, where we see the eerie silhouette of Ed Nashton looking back at Bruce. The upper level is where choirs are often situated in a Church setting. Perhaps it's Ed further hinting at something. But this would all make sense for the Ave Maria placement in this score.

Exactly. It feels like Ed wants to point out a very specific memory from his past to Bats/Bruce. A subtle bread crumb trail which probably connects to whatever happened to Ed while in the Orphanage, and to whatever dark secret he knows about Gotham.

As a huge fan of The Bat, seeing The Dark Knight dethroned is exactly what I want. If this movie is as great as I think it will be, it has every intangible necessary to do so. Now, we just play the waiting game for a few more weeks to find out.
