    congratulations but
    did u test run out first before you calibrate the spindle to the ways? i doubt that chuck will give u a true turn at that distance
    also what type of bearings did u use in the spindle?

      I used tapered roller bearings. Now with my 3 jaw chuck i have less runout and i calibrated after that.. this video only shows the initial calibration. Not really matter the runout if you rotate to the shaft to the middle of swing

      @@kvechannel yes that is possible but the best is to test cut and check taper, also how did you calibrate the other axis parallel? how did you make sure that the spindle center line is parallel up and down to the ways?
      32008 bearings? did u found a precision grade?

      I used 30209 tapered roller bearings. Yes, the final calibration will be with test cuts. I already measured the up and down paralelism on the top on the spindle but i am happy with it now.. just few hundredths of mm. For the final precision i have a lot of work
