Really cool to have such open commentary from Nothing on this (and so much else)! 💪 Imo, this is the best design yet from Nothing. I don't like the glyph design from the phone 1 and 2 or the camera placement. Incredibly well done! I didn't ever expect to be excited about Nothing 👏🔥🎉
How much I love and am satisfied with Nothing's products? As a proud owner of the Phone 1 since 2022 , I'm passing it on to my nephew and ordered myself the Phone 2a.
A little bit of a letdown for me was seeing just how many of the previous glyphs did not make it to this design. I always thought that we can make the glyphs channel more information through not with colors as many comments suggest, but through varying patterns. For example I could have the top glyph flash three times and then the bottom one for a messenger notif, and then I could have all the middle ones flash for whatsapp. With just 3 glyphs, while still possible, I feel like this might feel a little janky and less readable (if it even ever happens). But all in all, while it is not for me, I can totally see how it can be for someone else. I'll just happily carry on using my Phone 2, which features design decisions that resonate with me way more.
I am a Phone (1) user & tbh I'm completely in love with the design & unique approach that Nothing has introduced into the market. People must get rid of their concrete ideas of how a phone design must look, instead they must just try and feel how unique it is also in terms of software & UX! experience!
I'm actually digging the design more and more as time passes. The initial shock was because leakers tend to show renders and what you're actually looking at is how good the guy/gal that did the texturing and lighting did their job.
Hi, listen I love nothing. I love what you're trying to do. I love the vision and want you to succeed. I love placing my phone (in case) on its boring black screen face down on my desk and being able to see the pretty back, so the fact you focus on the back to make it look good is great. I love the gliphs to make it helpful when you get a message too, although that should be more customisable I think. But sadly, like the 'haters' in this video, I didn't like the design of the new 2a. It just doesn't come across as the sort of thing you'll instantly love, or that will get you compliments like 'i like your phone' - it just does look a bit weird, and I think you shouldn't be like apple, but should be inspired by Jonny Ive and the amazing symetrical designs he came up with. I think really that is what people loved about your other phones. Also they loved the tech-back, and I think you should focus on making the back quite technical looking, intricate and facinating. I loved the 'clean tech' look of previous phones. I'm sorry but I don't think this one is going to sell very well. It just doesn't have the instant 'wow' factor.
Even if it sells okay, I don't get the point of making a "reacting to tweets" where you're just gonna be defensive AF and ridicule people for having differing opinions?
Really love the milky look and don't really mind the new camera placement, but I wouldn't call it a *clear* update for the phone 1 cuz it doesn't seem like it has wireless charging (and therefore no reverse charging which I absolutely love on my phone 1) as well as way less glyphs than the phone 1 (especially the charging indicator glyhps) which takes the phone's character away a little bit.
Didn't realize you would actually put price right first. No company would dare to do this for fear of their marketing or reception. Very interesting response as well.
I think Nothing as brand will gain significantly better heights in the future. My first flagship phone is the Nothing 2 which I got my hands on recently and Iam really impressed. Iam sure with more updates, the device will keep getting better and I love the brand's commitment towards making their products better I hope they stick to these values in the coming years as well
I don't know what people don't like about this design? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DESIGN BRUH!! Nothing is really creative with the designs of the phone and blew away the minds of people with this one, they're adding a great spice to the phone market. Keep it up Nothing! WE LOVE YOUR DESIGNS
It's a very cool design! Nothing makes very unique products in terms of design, and they do look futuristic and satisfying, and what also is great is that they actually have something to back up their decisions
The work that's gone in doing this kind of innovation is so much and finally they have to listen to all these comments it might be draining and de-motivating. But Nothing till now the Phone designs have been fantastic for all your phones. I like that someone is trying to push other companies to do something new!
The fact that people are bitter about the whole glyph interface shows it caught their attention. For me the whole glyph interface is really the brand identity of Nothing which is a sign of innovation. Always love the transparency and you always listen to the community for improvement.
Idk but the camera setup is somewhat weird for me. My friend was waiting for this phone as he was going to buy a nothing phone. He then decided to buy nothing phone 2 instead of 2a because of this same reason
What ever people may comment and say negetive, don't give up your phone design is the best, even compare to iPhone. It's cool looking and very unique. I love it so much. You are revolutionize the phone market by exciting us by your genuine and satisfying design and looks with modern looks and specks I really love it...the colour combination ❤ we love you guys once again keep it up. If the price fits the budget consumers I can see a bright future with the nothing phone industry.❤
Main reasons I choose Nothing: 1. It reminds me I am not a thing or body, I am soul. 2. Reminds me of Steve Job's words "You are already naked there is no reason not to follow your heart". Nothing's clear transparent back reminds me of this. 3. Also "You can't connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards". Nothing's dotted UI reminds me of this.
Been using nothing phone 1 for a while now, its not just the lights, its the experience. With all the other phones I always had to do lots of customization, double think about installing an app and how it will affect performance. But here its clean android and also so optimized. After all this time, phone is still smooth in performance, Camera is still amazing today. Basically what im trying to say is its just a phone and it works as it should and I dont have to waste my energy or time by worrying about it or trying to figure it out. Everything works amazing right out of the box and is seemless. And i believe thats the identity Nothing is aiming for while a lot of the other phones tend to be focused on lots of other aspects but forget the basic principles.
I appreciate the consideration of the phone's back design, as aesthetics can contribute significantly to user experience and brand identity. While phone cases are popular, exploring case-friendly designs or premium case options that complement the phone's design could be beneficial. Additionally, incorporating user experience research to understand customer preferences regarding both aesthetics and usability would be valuable. This could inform design decisions and potentially lead to increased user attraction, improved usability, and competitive pricing strategies.
If I’m being honest, at first I thought the design looked goofy af because of the camera looking like eyes of some cartoon character and tweeted over it but now that i think theyre tryna be different and revive the center camera design, it is NOTHING like any brand would’ve done.
I think it looks pretty nice, especially that transparent curve on the back edge. Definitely interesting new design. I dig it. I do still prefer the Phone 2 more though, especially the glyph. I do wonder though, as time goes on how hard is it going to be to manage two different phones with different glyph types? Since the 2a has a reduced glyph count, some functions may not be the same as they are in the Phone 2, right?
I am using nothing phone 2. In this phone there is no 120 fps in bgmi India while other mini brands are providing 120fps in mid range phones. I am very disappointed. My friends tease me all the time whenever I play bgmi infront of them.
to be honest, 2a looks even more good on video, you know like insta vs reality but in reverse, which is even better. It looks more attractive than even phone 2
I would love to see a Nothing Phone mini with a center camera hole with a symmetrical Glyph interface that has either white or rgb (but not multi, more like select 1 color from the color wheel) and has a flat glass back like the Phone(1).

it is funny to see that many of them were Indian names, i am an Indian to. you guys look pretty cool and chill. I would love to work with you after my schooling and graduation.
Aside from the product, I actually learned a lot about building product. Thank you Nothing team!
Don’t sweat on these Nothing! You are who you are and that IS AMAZING. Please reach South East Asia market soon! *patiently waiting* 🎉
man i love nothing phones and i even buy nothing ear 2 and it's increadable, but i really recommend to put charger in box
The people commenting rudely about the Nothing Devices haven't come to the bright side yet.. am talking about using a phone 2.. it is just 🔥
How much I love and am satisfied with Nothing's products? As a proud owner of the Phone 1 since 2022 , I'm passing it on to my nephew and ordered myself the Phone 2a.
The level of transparency on their RUclips channel totally resonates with the design language :)
I just found out YOU guys did this. Nice one😂
People must get rid of their concrete ideas of how a phone design must look, instead they must just try and feel how unique it is also in terms of software & UX! experience!
Im actually owner of a Nothing Phone 2 and i think this is a piece of art, its components are super high-quality and the price too.
@@Shaurya_Pant yeah they didn't know how to take criticism well
One suggestion i want to give you if you want to capture indian market you should launch phone unber 18K- 25K(price)
I love the Nothing Phone (2a)’s design so much. Nothing always comes up with something thrilling, unlike most smartphone brands these days.
Does it even matter, its just a phone, there is no-new-thing that we haven't seen before
Didn't realize you would actually put price right first. No company would dare to do this for fear of their marketing or reception. Very interesting response as well.
more than half of the tweets are from india you should be thankfull to them they are continuoslly giving you feedback
I think Nothing as brand will gain significantly better heights in the future. My first flagship phone is the Nothing 2 which I got my hands on recently and Iam really impressed. Iam sure with more updates, the device will keep getting better and I love the brand's commitment towards making their products better I hope they stick to these values in the coming years as well
I kinda like this take. What a solid video from the team. Just shows what the Nothing team is capable of. Cant wait for the future
Nothing is very smart and good the way they are changing the opinions of people by literally using their honesty is just terrific 👍🏻👍🏻
This company is the best. Their response was just perfect. Let the haters hate. 🔥🗣️
I have the Phone 2 and I really like the new design. I think it will definitely evolve in their future models and I look forward to it.
I love this brand's boldness in thinking differently. It is the modern style of the smartphone industry.
I’m also a Nothing fan. But just being curious..
What category of users are you guys aiming at, for the Phone 2 a ?
Would love to know!!
The fact that people are bitter about the whole glyph interface shows it caught their attention. For me the whole glyph interface is really the brand identity of Nothing which is a sign of innovation. Always love the transparency and you always listen to the community for improvement.
I loved the design.. the two cameras looking like eyes, like wall-e, totally won my heart
@4:41 this guy just convinced me that the eyes looking layout of the cameras is the better design choice. thats a W
Respected Team, Please consider my request and restock the phone 1 in Indian market.
Main reasons I choose Nothing:
I just love this brand man the transparency of them is so nice
I see this company to grow exponentially in a few years man. They're going to reach new heights🏙️ All the Best and Love from India❤️
I have to admit that I love its design. I am not the fan of Android, so completely within Apple ecosystem but I find this quite refreshing. Good job
Should add some periscope camera for next NP 3 series.
Rooting for this company. Keep up the good work, guys!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Never thought i would watch a whole video from a company lol nice job nothing
I am using it RN 😭
to be honest, 2a looks even more good on video, you know like insta vs reality but in reverse, which is even better. It looks more attractive than even phone 2
I would love to see a Nothing Phone mini with a center camera hole with a symmetrical Glyph interface that has either white or rgb (but not multi, more like select 1 color from the color wheel) and has a flat glass back like the Phone(1).
