    Great video. My Rubicon4xe was delivered in May of 2020 and We are extremely happy with it, on and off the road. I love the torque of the 4xe. You will learn to drive the Jeep with the Max Regen ON and save your brakes. I bet I can get four times the mileage from these brake pads. I use the e-save mode to get to the trail. When I need extra torque for an obstacle, whether in 4H or 4L, no matter what mode you are in, pull the shifter over to M and the engine will come on. You now have the engine AND the electric motor torque available to tackle the obstacle and it is like no other Jeep. Instant torque, with little or no engine throttle. A totally new feeling, pretty awesome.

    That is definitely a colour! I think I quite like it.
    Nice to see load rating getting a mention. I have seen people caught out on that. Most recently a Jaguar XF with a tyre that was too big for the spare wheel well. A shop had installed a high load SUV tyre. It was about an inch taller overall.

    Hey Tyler, thanks for the informative video on the Jeep, I didn't realize that tires can make such a big difference!!! I'm also fascinated with electric & hybrid vehicles as I believe the internal combustion engine will be obsolete in the not so distant future!!! Yes, the color is an interesting choice for a Jeep, it reminds me of a Barbie vehicle!!! 🙄

    I have a 2019, V6 JLUR with the Mopar lift. You are totally right, it does ride a little bit stiffer but overall it’s just like factory. I did have some steering gearbox issues that were covered under warranty without any argument by the dealer just because they installed the Mopar lift.
    I just ordered a new 2022 4XE Rubicon, and plan to do the same thing but had the same questions about power and economy.
    Also, when I got my Lyft they said I had to get aftermarket wheels so the tires would not rub on the inner fenders. I noticed you kept the same wheels, has that been an issue?

    • @TylerPotter

      No issue at all with the stock Rubicon wheels and 35's they clear great! Thanks for the view!

    Another awesome video! Love the one day build on the 4xE and it looks fantastic! I'm excited to get the Mopar lift installed this weekend. For someone who has personally installed a ton of Mopar lifts, do you feel a larger track bar or steering stabilizer is necessary or recommended? Many people on forums have suggested that in order to keep the front axle aligned after the lift, a new heavier and adjustable track bar is recommended. And that a new Mopar FOX steering stabilizer is recommended for the new heavier tires. I appreciate your thoughts on the subject.

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  2 года назад +3

      I think if it were my personal Jeep I would keep the factory track bars but add the FOX stabilizer, yes the axle is very slightly off center but it is very little and I would had to add any squeaks ect. with a aftermarket trackbar with different bushings. Thanks for the view!

    • @michaelsyoutubechannel5857
      @michaelsyoutubechannel5857 2 года назад +2

      @@TylerPotter That's exactly what I ended up doing. The front axle is off center about 1/2 inch but it drives great and tracks straight as an arrow. The Fox Stabilizer provides a confident feel to the steering and the Mopar lift rides as good as or better than stock. Appreciate your response and the very informative videos👍

    Love it! Thanks for sharing. I’m in the process of planning my Mopar /Fox lift with 35”s or should I say 315/70/17s - great tip, btw! QQ - you add the tires to the stock rims on this vehicle. On a JLU 2.0 rubicon, any issues with using the stock rims? I’ve heard mixed opinions on this topic. I really like the stock rims so would prefer to use them if I can. Thank you!

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  Год назад +1

      Yes on a Rubicon due to the wider stock axles you can use the stock wheels with the wider tires with no rubbing issues. We do this quite often at the shop. I also love the stock wheels! Thanks for the view!

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  2 года назад

      A good quality bolt on wheel spacer torqued to the correct lug nut torque should be perfectly fine. I would recommend checking the spacers lug nut torque each time you have a tire rotation done just to be safe. Thanks for the view!

      We will sometimes have clearance issues with the Mopar lift with the rear extended sway bar links getting close to the rear wheels. I'm more sure what lift or wheels you have but if you are already lifted with no issues you should be fine to add your 35's. Thanks for the view!

    Tyler, your videos are the best. Question: if I wanna go for different wheels than the stock ones on a Rubicon, would you then go for higher wheels (maybe 20s) or not? And within a 2 inches lift, will a 20 inch wheels and 35 inch fit?

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  2 года назад

      It is totally up to the owner with a 2in lift on a Rubicon you can fit up to a max size tire of 37in. with the other trim levels you can fit a 35in tire max. Now on wheel size it is totally up to the owner a lot people will put 17's or 20's or even larger. as long as you keep the tire size the 35in or 37in depending on you trim you should be great. • @TylerPotter

      The Rubicon tires will be a higher load range LT tire so just will the heavy stiffer tires will add a little more firm ride, also the Mopar lift rides great but if anything will make it slightly firmer. All in all it will still drive and ride great but you will probably end up with a slightly firmer ride. Thanks for the view!

      There were two items. When the 4xe first came out (in the first month) they abruptly stopped selling the 2” lift for it and reworked a few things. Then that replacement came out and v2 was only netting about a 1” lift. I believe they have subsequently come out with a v3 with stronger springs and they now sit about the same as non-4xe lifts. I am going to order one within the next month or two. By the way, I made up the version numbers to help with the explanation, I have not generally heard them referred to as v1, v2 and v3 (not sure why not).
