The Boeing 707 was first introduced in 1958, a few years after I was born but I never realised it payed so much concession to such intricate aerodynamics.
Ever thought about heading to the velodrome and doing some pro bikes from there? Some of the bikes on the track at the Olympics looked pretty amazing. ..
This is the 2nd time that you are making a video about Mikel Landa's TT bike! I think that you should review his suitcase every single month, at least.
The brake cover is not from the, 707. Nor the 787, but the Rolls Royce trent 1000 engine (and others). Witch you can se on several different planes....
The rear break caliper cover is definitely inspired by the Boeing 787, not the 707, unless they are being inspired by a plane that was designed in the 1950s.
@gcntweet #torqueback - in this video Dan points out an adjustment at the rear dropouts for the rear wheel. Bikes used to have adjusters at the rear dropouts, but I haven't seen them in a long time. Why do you think Bike Mfg. no longer puts the adjusters on newer bikes? Thanks.
I thought "£9,300"... That's a lot but it's a top spec bike so not outrageous... "for the frame-set"... I retract my previous statement! Okay, so lets add a couple grand for the groupset, another 1k for the power meter, 5k for the wheels, 10k for the 3D printed titanium bars, say 500 for the finishing kit (saddle, garmin etc). We're already at £28k and that's just the stuff I can see...
hey GCN Ive got a huge question, i have to make a presentation about advances in technologi related with chamestry and i want to talk about the material used in a súper bike you talked about in a GCN show months ago but i don't remember the name of the material, i recall you said that is lighter and stiffer than carbón fiber but really expensive. could you tell me the name of the material? i'd really apreciate it huge fan by the way i never miss a vídeo, greetings from Guaymas, México
A disc wheel enhances aerodynamics, but increases turbulence in crosswinds. It's worth the trade-off in the back, but the front wheel can actually move, which makes the turbulence much worse.
I do wonder how pinarello makes money on bikes like these. at that price I can't really see them selling a lot of them. I've only ever seen one of these raced in amateurs and it was a much older model.
Global Cycling Network You'd be surprised at what the internet has a taste for. You could even pass it off as some sort of freaky GCN Does Science experiment! "Which is faster: Skinsuit, or Shaved, Naked, and Covered in Honey?" We've have Si and Matt in Speedos. Now it's logically Dan's turn. Send him off behind the bike sheds with a razor and a pot of Manuka and wait to see what glistening monstrosity emerges. :O
Man that's an amazing bike
Looks marvellous

..
I feel like a 7 year old watching a flashy toy commercial. I WANNA HAVE IT!!!!! MOM!!!!!
The only difference is, that for this beauty, mom has to sell both her kidneys, and probably all other organs xD
worth it
0:46 Dan, I think you mean the Boeing 787 dreamliner not the 707, the 707 was introduced back in the late 50s.
This is the 2nd time that you are making a video about Mikel Landa's TT bike! I think that you should review his suitcase every single month, at least.
Boeing 787 Dan mate, the 707's older than you!
Even older than Matt (!)
barely XD
Is Dan trying to show off how strong he is by holding that bike up in the air while pointing to the videos?
Mad gains bro!
7.6kg doesnt exactly weigh a tonne m8
+RoseOfHizaki It does if you believe.
Magisteerium not really, my carbon weighs 8kg, even with a 750mil water bottle i dont have any problems hefting
RoseOfHizaki We were making a joke
It's looks fast and it's lighter than The normal TT bikes ! Cool !
the aero cover on the rear brake is like feathers on wings, that's also where boeing got there design :)
They don't call Dan "The Boss" for nothing, no other GCN presenter could even think of holding 7.7kgs in the air WITH ONE HAND?!!
my gutness . What a lovely bike@@@!
Looks like a stealth fighter (F-117). Neat!
I have to say that looks rather special
Absolutely beautiful. Don't think I could afford it ever though =P
You can put it down, Dan, they won't let you walk away with it.
NOT 707. IT'S THE 787! C'mon first Contador's Dura Ace, now this? You're better than that...
I want to have this sick bike!
7.6kg for a tt bike is just crazy light!!!
I love engineering ! its beautiful
the bike of all bikes :)
God, Dan's arms must be screaming after that outro...
The brake cover is not from the, 707. Nor the 787, but the Rolls Royce trent 1000 engine (and others). Witch you can se on several different planes....
Super bike!
I thought bottle on the seat-tube was more aero than having aero wheels, and significantly more aero than bottle on the down-tube.
Kilograms (kg.) is a measurement of mass and Pound force (lb.) this is a measurement of Weight
Its so beautiful :'(
The rear break caliper cover is definitely inspired by the Boeing 787, not the 707, unless they are being inspired by a plane that was designed in the 1950s.
Which is more important to improve? V02 max? Anarobic threshold? Why one over the other? #torqueback
It's really nice, but the finish and the gaps in the frame truly are... Italian :P
@gcntweet #torqueback - in this video Dan points out an adjustment at the rear dropouts

Bolide in italian is pronounced with the stress on the o (Bòlide), not on the i (Bolìde). Sick bike btw.
It just art♥♥
How does it do on the grassy terrain?
do he use an aero bottle too ?
didn't they say in the comments it would be a colnargo and that this should have been a couple weeks ago
Italian jewel
look gorgeous ~!!

Surely you meant the 787!
Ah, LANDA!
Is there a disk brake option on the 707?
wow.... NICE.
Hi GCN I was wondering if you could help me, I love cycling but I've still got my school work to do, what should I do?
turbo train :P
Ride after school
drop out
+Sean Ryan Rivera thanks
ride to school and ride to work as a commute/training ride i rack up 110miles/week doing this
Does Dan always just toss the water bottles to the side? 😂
hey GCN Ive got a huge question, i have to make a presentation about advances in technologi related with chamestry and i want to talk about the material used in a súper bike you talked about in a GCN show months ago but i don't remember the name of the material, i recall you said that is lighter and stiffer than carbón fiber but really expensive. could you tell me the name of the material? i'd really apreciate it huge fan by the way i never miss a vídeo, greetings from Guaymas, México
Graphene?
thanks a lot mate!!
Graphene is the material.
Looks something Batman would ride...especialy that handlebar
You mean the 787 Dan not the 707
U
that bike looks like it should be in the Air Force ?
Can you use this for cyclocross ? ;)
#AskGCN Why is a Disc Wheel better the a Normal one ?
And is if so, why not both ?
Thanks.
A disc wheel enhances aerodynamics, but increases turbulence in crosswinds. It's worth the trade-off in the back, but the front wheel can actually move, which makes the turbulence much worse.
Thanks.
beutiful bike.
one bike to rule 'em all...
I do wonder how pinarello makes money on bikes like these. at that price I can't really see them selling a lot of them. I've only ever seen one of these raced in amateurs and it was a much older model.
It's not designed for mass market so making profit per unit isn't the point. Wouldn't mind getting a Graal someday myself...
+bilwit yeah I guess it is a marketing thing. it's a sweet bike nonetheless
I wanna see Dan totally shaved.
And covered in honey. Make it happen GCN.
We're trying to gain viewers, not lose them.

I want that bike
me too
not for 15000 I don't !
DAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is 7.655!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
price?
what a beauty of a frame !! #GCNgiveawaye
How light can a bike be on UCI regulations?
£9,300 is closer to $12,300 ....still bloody expensive though but at least your saving $2,700 :)
reupload?
$15,000 !!! eh i'll pass nothing wrong with my good old shoes
787***
I think you mean Boeing 787
Dan is Bólide with the accent on the O not bolíde. Please...
That frame is miniature
I see two Estonian flags on it.
Boeing 787 dan
*787
It's better just to get a car than a bike if it's 15000.
They wont let you drive a car in a bike race, really they just wont.
+DigbySirChickenTF2 There are bikes that are just as good as the 15000 dollar bike for a fraction of the price.
In a city a bike is great, in a desert area its not
actually 15000$ is just for the frameset, wheelset is 5000$, groupset is another 3000$ you can try to look at the prices online
Jeremy's "Work harder, get a car" (commercial) just went to hell.
price is insane.....is there anyone dumb enough to buy a bike at such a price?
17th
8th 👍
why no content on the tour of Britain??? I fell like unsubscribing (British RUclips cycle channel and a British cycling event. why no coverage??!!)
feel
