    This method is way easier, I had no idea you could multiply them to get -1. but they're also the negative reciprocals of each other so you don't even need to multiply them, you can see from the example at 2:44 that 3/2 and -2/3 are negative (one is positive, one negative) reciprocals (equation is flipped, so 1/2 reciprocated is 2/1). It's also way easier and faster for questions like the graph example

    hi i was wondering how you would find c for the last question?

    • @thejfisher9956
      @thejfisher9956 Год назад +1

      I'm not too sure myself, but here's what I did:
      we know the gradient is -3, like he said. The line intercepts with the known line at (3, 4). When the line is at 3 for x, the y is 4. 3 x -3 is -9. 4 - - 9 = 4 + 9 = 13. C = 13.
      Leaving the final equation: y = -3x + 13
      In essence, I suppose it is just multiplying x by the gradient, and then taking that away from the y coordinate they intercept at.
      If I am wrong, then I apologise.
      Hope this helps!
