Love Scotch Ale! It's pretty popular in Montana, too. Last fall, I made a single malt (Pale 2 row) triple decoction Scotch Ale with the same hops but used a little at 15 min as well. Same yeast. It's been aging on medium + toast oak cubes for about 5 months now, and it's tasting amazing. I plugged your recipe in tonight and will brew it up in a few weeks. 🍻
Very easily overdone. Whenever I used it was a tiny amount to just get it in the taste profile. I also love peaty scotch but it’s a preference thing. Some of the rauchbiers taste like campfire lol

Awesome. Let me know how yours comes out.
Looks terrific, thanks for the water profile and recipe!
8.3% ABV, wowzer.
Yea and it’s good.
These are my favorite; great video. You ever add peat smoked to make a light rauchbier? Always enjoyed these in my brewing days!!!
I meant to say a very small amount of peat smoked.
I’ve never used peat. I’ve heard it can be overdone if you’re not careful. Maybe it could be a new video.

That’s what I’ve heard also. I like Scotch also.
