Mind blowing breakdown. Pretty cool to hear the breakdown of how it is not technically in B major in the traditional sense. Very interesting perspective on the bastard blues in E turn around. Just watched a "by the way" era interview where John said he wanted to do guitar parts that didn't owe anything to the Blues, which is interesting given the blues inspiration on this track.
Hey tY so much for weighing in!! Sorry to tell you I have discontinued this channel. Many reasons, and Im not happy about it bc I'm passionate about this area of study and teaching practices. So by suggestion of one of my subscribers I have decided to offer private Zoom or Skype study sessions. Review my mission statement on THIS video and Lmk if you are interested in giving it a go. Cost will be fair market. Best, Kenny
One of the best breakdown videos here on RUclips. I just watched Power of Equality and covered it after practicing with your video. However I searched for more of the Blood Sugar songs at your channel and it is so unfortunate that you did not do breakdown videos on the rest of the album. Always feeling good to rewatch this stuff since you teach this in a very interesting, technical and theoretical way! Learned a lot thanks to these few vids. I hope you will release more of these videos in the future! Best wishes, Filip.
Hey Filip- im pleased that you got something valuable from the vids. Im sorry my man - i had to discontinue the breakdown work on my channel… NOT sustainable/ far too deep a dive for me without income to support the work
I’m a bass player and I wanted to expand my horizons and learn some guitar and this channel is great man, I recommend trying to learn all the parts separately on your own and then watching one of these videos to help piece everything together and learn technique. Overall this is one of the best channels I’ve come across good job man

Hey tx for weighing in/so glad you got something from the JF class!! So you are right about John using some slight chorusing on the album track- but I didn’t use any for this!! Just not really in my sound wheelhouse and i didnt have one lying around to use…. KC
Great stuff Kenny, thanks for your videos, keep them coming. I have always been under the impression that John played the solo part of Mellowship slinky on a fretless guitar, any thoughts?
I thought I was playing this tune perfect but you have shown me many flaws in what I’ve been playing for years. I wish my ear was as good as yours.

I agree that is in E, ONLY that the rest of the song is in B !!! XD 😉😉
I think it was just to name the song. They could’ve said Z major for all I care
