Plus there's calls that were placed from Sigfriedo's cell phone to Harvey's cell phone. They went to voicemail, but that doesn't mean he didn't have another phone to call him back on. There was also the time that Charlie was telling Katie that he wanted her to meet up with ALL OF THEM at their place, but she said it was too far. So Charlie went and met with her instead.
You know what, he would never be charge, but, this old dude is 80 years old, he has maybe 3 years more to breathe in earth, the best part, alone, I hope, and no one liking him

wow, they both had a full time job of phone calls that week! When I saw the "35 hours" in the title, I was assuming it was spread out over 1+ years of his time in jail. Wow, one week.

Dona, like Wendi, was dissatisfied with her life, meddling was compensation, for her sense of intrinsic fulfillment. Wendi was a bit jealous of Dan’s success, & indifferent or amused with his Orthodox practices. I doubt he put her down to any friends. Her mom may have felt the same about her husband, that his life was qualitatively better than hers.

I think Wendi imposed her petty problems on brother & mother, to get more sympathy & vengeance. She exaggerated the marriage problem, & they magnified her story to try & show they cared. Both were distorting. Complete lack of moral compass.

These people are so bizarre, if she would of just stayed out of her daughter's personal life and let her be a big girl this would of never happened. The boys would have been taken cared of by their father that loved them and they would have grown up to be fine. And no one would be in this horrible mess she created.
Making sure her grandchildren are taken care of is the least she can do after having their father murdered
they thought Donna would be out of the country by the time they were able to go through all those hours of calls. I don’t believe they thought that they would hear that as fast as they did.

What is wrong with Donna didn't she realize talking on the phone is what got her and CA indicted? Had she just left and not run her mouth she probably would have gotten away with it. She tipped the authorities off by blabbing which in turn made them arrest her sooner than they may have had she kept her mouth shut.

She probably used a really clever and complicated system of code words to fool the authorities. Lol. “Ok Charlie, I’m probably not going to ‘ill-kay’ myself because we got a screaming deal on a flight to “iet-nam-Vay”, one-way tickets are even cheaper than hitmen or TVs! If someone pays for the call then it can last longer (or someone puts money on the inmate's call account). those jail/prison calls are more expensive than standard calls.

I have the same question as to how an inmate is allowed a 2 hour phone call, but honestly they probably allow as much time as possible so they can collect information and try to get incriminating content. I’d let them talk forever too.
Was thinking the same. Normally you only get a 15-20min call. Unless he would hang up and immediately call back to sum up 2hrs back to back
So dumb. They were caught in part because of what they said on the phone when they could not wait to discuss their “problem” in person and then they continue talking during jail calls. For being educated people they have displayed very little common sense, starting with the fact that they thought they could get away with murder.
Lots of people get away with murder all the time.
I know. Part of me thinks this is Charlie’s attempt to get a lighter sentence.
There had to an inmate telling Charlie “I wouldn’t talk about your case that much on the phone if I were you!”
IMAGINE if the estranged brother took the stand against Wendi or spoke at her sentencing

I think Wendi is 100% involved in the entire plot. The mere fact that Dan was shot in the head(brain) is very telling. I wonder if the hitmen were told to shoot him in the head? That would definitely be Wendi telling them to shoot him in the head, as Dan was much smarter than all of them. I watched the cross by KM's lawyer, Christopher and he had really really good points in Wendi's part in the murder for hire plot. He pointed out several instances that Wendi was involved. From Wendi's questioning at the PD about 2 hours after the hit, is very revealing. She was curious how the police got there so fast. She and her friend Jane tried their best to accuse Jeff. It all backfired. I also heard the reason it took so long for the LE to arrest Charlie, is the 1st prosecutor refused to do so and it's only when Jack took over, the investigation started over again. Watching the ep from Deep Dive about the Dr who wrote an OP-ED about Donna, seems like the Adelsons have "friends" in the "right?" places or so they thought.
IMO, Wendi will be prosecuted after Donna is convicted and the family dynamic will come out in the open. See below for my theory.
I finally watched Jeff Lacasse police interviews and other interviews/testimonies. IMO and allegedly, I think there's a sick dynamic between Wendi and Charlie. From what I heard, it seems like Wendi and Charlie was in competition on who could/would have more s*xual partners. From the hot tub convo, with Charlie boasting/bragging/describing his s*x prowess with underage girls and other women and with Wendi cheating, IMO, there's an iffy/sick dynamic going on between Charlie and Wendi, because according to Jeff, they seemed "comfortable" discussing Charlie's s*xual prowess. Also Jeff mentioned he thought Wendi had a BF in Miami, as she would go to Miami every chance she got. Makes me wonder -Who's the BF? According to Katie's lawyer, Charlie always interfered in Wendi's relationships with her BFs and then with Dan. It's like Charlie didn't want Wendi in any relationship. I wonder why Charlie never got married, with a mother like Donna, you would think that he would have been married with kids by now. Anyway, it's JMO and speculation.

@@preciousgem6506 another thought. The Markels should get a DNA test done on the kids. There are 3 major things that makes me think that the kids are not Dans.
1) The obssession to get the kids back to Miami with the Adelsons
2) Charlie hated Dan, and didn't visit except for when the 2 boys were born, he made it a point to be there. And another visit by chance. During the entire marriage, half of it was spent with Wendi taking the kids to Miami without Dan.
3) The changing of the boys name immediately after he died. I know legally it was a yr after, but for the schools etc, it was immediately.

I guess neither one of them learned anything from Charlie's trial where a lot of his phone calls to various people helped convict him.
The icing on the cake would be if Donna began calling Wendi, and implicated Wendi.
I can't imagine how devastated someone wrongly convicted might feel. There was absolutely no clear evidence against him. The jurors just did what they thought was expected of them with no consideration that someone else's life is at stake.
Can anyone imagine actually being the partner of one of the Adelson children (aside from the one normal son that has nothing to do with the rest of them)? What a nightmare!!!! Every single decision would need to have Donna's involvement.

Donna won’t be able to speak freely to her family members considering the judge’s orders.
I don't think we should assume this is a normal situation. The authorities were probably happy that he wanted to make so many calls to Donna. Those calls definitely helped them move on her, and gave them evidence. Also, Charlie had just been convicted, so may still be in the jail awaiting sentencing. A jail may not have the same restrictions as a prison since jails house people awaiting trial who need to be in frequent contact with their legal team and such.
