It's unclear, but if I recall correctly in the anime it's tattoos and in the manga it's part of the clothing
Yes, in the manga it was a lingerie bodysuit Bruno was wearing under his suit pants and jacket. However in the anime it was changed to a chest tattoo.
I think tattoo works better, as it also shows that they are ultimately criminals, with aesthetic tattos for flamboyance and intimidation, kinda like having "love" or "hate" tattooed on your knuckles
Part 5 is 2 years after Part 4 I think (the year 2001)
And Giorno is like a fusion of Dio and Jonathan, almost a perfect mix of the two, and you will see both sides come out during the series
on Koichi's uniform you can see a badge of roman number 3
It’s not as “in your face” in the anime as it is in the manga, but Haruno Shiobana and Giorno Giovanna sound very similar when you say them out loud…

Haruno Shiobana is his Japanese birth name, but he later adopted the nickname, Giorno Giovanna. Literally the same name, but spelled with an italian name and surname. GioGio sounds like Jojo so that's where his jojo is in his name.
To be more specific, in Japanese his name is pronounced Joruno Jobanna

Yes part 7 and part 8 take place in different universe where joestar bloodline is still there but with different versions of jojos. Like Jonathan = Johnny.

Giorno’s DIO picture was a regular portrait of him in the manga. The anime changed it to Joseph’s spirit picture of him which rightfully confuses a lot of people who are anime only
Only Jonathan and Giorno use "boku" as first personal pronoun. So in Japan they are called "boku oyako = boku parent‐child". But also Dio and Giorno use the word "muda" a lot, so they are called "muda oyako = muda parent‐child".

in the manga it's lingerie, but in the anime it's a tattoo to make it easier to animate. (if it was clothing it would move around and it would take extra effort to animate.) so both versions are correct.
Part 5 is already popping off with the artstyle and animation! Looking forward to this season, it's a lot of fun!

The spirit photo version of Dio is the anime only. In the manga it’s a different picture. The spirit photo is just for the convenience for the watcher to recognize.

i know that you guys already halfway through, also you may not not know that Giorno was planned to be a girl. but Araki couldn't do it because female protagonists weren't common at that time, so people persuaded him to change Gio's gender. thus, Giovanna is a female version of surname Giovanni. our Gio also is feminine looking and his ability "creating life" refers to motherhood. 🐞
Giorno may not be my favourite jojo protagonist, but i love him!
