Just catching up Michael.... brilliant as usual❤ informative, warm and sincere. There's a lot who could learn from you and your team. Take care and Thanks for being you. Xx
Don't give up Michael your the positive face of the industry and your vlogs give us a open Insight to how a funeral home should be run properly I'm sure alot of the good funeral directors like yourselves would feel defeated by what's happened in Hull
Don’t give up Mick. I’ve only just subscribed to your channel. My niece died last year and was ‘cared’ for by Legacy in Hull. I doubt we’ll ever know what really went on in that place.
After so long saying to the National Association of Funeral directors that we need legislation and being told. But we do it . To be proved right is sickening
Mick please don't sell your business we need good funeral directors like yourself to care for families loved ones. My daughter in law is a funeral Director and absolutely loves looking after families loved ones and always goes the extra mile to give the kind of service that families want to give there loved ones ❤️. On the finally journey. I love watching your videos keep posting and thankyou.😊
Michael I just stumble across your channel as it was uploaded my page and my say you are very honest man ln what Reponses you give the viewers about being undertakers and what's involved and the crematorium information. and folks dumping in cemeteries it not on its being disrespectful to the dead and you will draw . rodents around it the problem exists .luckily here in Eire down south we don't have that problem . maybe in Dublin and other cities they could be up to it dumping that it is. that why priests are so Affluent. they leave millions in the wake when the pass on
To Micheal fogg you do a wonderful job as a undertaker and I have a lot of respect for the funeral industry as whole how did they get a licence to hold a funeral business in the first place I love watching your RUclips video and you and Cheryl and sid the poodle dog going upto the Yorkshire Hills up north I love Ingleton in Yorkshire were my late mum Mary came from Adrian 😊
Adrian the problem with the funeral industry is nobody needs a licence. Nobody has to have limitations or eaven a Hearse you don't need a Mortuary. It's a crazy way to work and needs something sorting out now
Hey Mick, I know NOTHING about funeral services but I do know a lot about people. You look really sad to me and it’s so unfair that a good person (I can’t tell that you are!) can be worn down by the system over and over again no matter what industry it is. I’m so familiar with being worn out, that it’s nearly ruined me. I have been told regularly “Don’t let the bastards beat you down!” It’s really hard to take heed of that advice, but really is so true. Great channel by the way and love the honesty and integrity that you share with everyone. Joel.
You would make a fantastic auditor. Going round to funeral homes and doing an inspection. Could even post on RUclips if they let you. I know nothing about the industry but from watching your videos the past year I know team Fogg are the best of the best
I would welcome any funeral directors to visit my premises and walk around with his camera to upload and I could visit his. I believe that's how it should be
Hello, that’s a rather large cemetery. I love visiting the older cemeteries. My question this afternoon is, do the families have to pay for their plots before they come to your facility? The funeral business here in the US is a booming business.
I am sad To think a true professional like you talk like that. As someone said in the comments People like you Mick are needed to restore Faith in the Funeral industry. Think of the farm when you feel bad and the Neighbours sheep waiting for the treats or they will interrupt your broadcast. Your a top man hang in there. Many families need you and the staff.. Pat
Tried to find the other fella you mentioned mick but nothing comes up on RUclips for Yorkshire funeral director ? Mick don’t sell mate you’re one of the diamonds in the rough buddy the industry needs top quality like 👍 Hope you are ok buddy and Cheryl Xxx
I am new to your channel. What has happend in Hull is horrendous and I am sure that a lot of people will be worried. But from what I see you are needed in this industry.
Mick please please don't give up your business because of that awful funeral business that done wrong, your a very decent person with an amazing business, we need more like you not less, would be gutted to see you sell business because of horrible people in the industry, you can show how its done properly. X
What you say is right Mick, my dad is buried in Barnsley cemetery with his mum and dad, the headstone got put on it's back so we need to go correct it. Trouble is none of my siblings are interested in doing it, so I guess it will be me that does it in the end. Also, the saddest things about our family is that a very close uncle was murdered at 47 back in 1994 in the Yorkshire Dales, we had to pay the coroner to get his body back after 3 autopsies had been performed on him. It really infuriated me then, we were all going through trauma and it did not alleviate anything, just made it worse. My uncle's murderer got 17 years came out of prison after 16 and then went back in for whatever crime he committed then now he is out and a free man. The rest of us still suffer to this day. The funeral directors took care of my uncle though and advised not to view him as he had been found in a pond, Nutty Farm in North Yorkshire. I don't want people like you to disappear from the funeral industry because we the public need you. you are compassionate and warm and down to earth and you really care. So please if you do go, train somebody up and keep a close eye on them! xxx
O love Reading this is just heartbreaking I don't believe a family ever get over a murder. Yes the person who took a life will be allowed out to rebuild their lives but the family will always be in the same place. My heart goes out to you and your family love x
@@MCF155 Thank you! xx Ps, he is scattered on top of Ingleborough. He loved travelling so that is why we put him on a cairn in one of his favourite places!
Believe me what's been allowed to happen in the funeral industry is something I will never get over. We need Legislation. Not involving The National Association of Funeral directors. But a totally independent outside authority
Thanks for explaining the costs and fees that are part of the total funeral cost. Could you clarify the point you made about doctors fees. Are they paid for all funerals or are they only for cremations?

My friends dad just passed and she was telling me the extras of the industry up here in Dundee. For flowers Dad and Grandad £450. Wake in pub £400. How does that stack up with down Sheffield mate.
A letter in flowers are about £ 50 each so Dad is £150 . It's crazy my grandson told me not to worry because he will get me Dandelions. Because he said you grow the biggest Dandelions grandad. And for me that's perfect x
Thanks for having balls to call out the directors association bud they are a disgrace well done it's a shame u want to sell but if u need time to walk away so be it on bright side u could also get a job while retired driving hearse or limo for an independent part time bud
Yes this has put me on a bit of a back foot I was thinking of having a direct funeral and no service but who to say if it's done in the light of what's going on with that other funeral directors no wonder the Muslims do their own funeral thay just use the same coffin for everyone at least thay know the job has been done I think it should go back to the old fashioned way were people are brought back to the house the night before the funeral so you can say your goodbyes and the lid is put on on the day of the funeral
It's how the industry was 36 years ago and I believe it brought comfort to families. As for a direct cremation my advice is . Visit the funeral director on the day just before they leave for the crematorium. Place something on the coffin maybe a sticker and follow to the crematorium. Nobody can stop you doing this x
Michael do you still walk in front of hearse In funeral procession ? I know years ago that was the custom in truth I’m not sure about these days . Thanks for your great videos I enjoy them cheers .
Fuck it was 700 quid 9 years ago to pay directors just for cremation then about 80-100 for embalming then to get your daughter brought home for one trip 250 quid and that was ma previous employer DIGNITY??????????
mick tha cant sell the business just cos of two unscrupulous operators you need to keep going to show the country and the industry leaders how the job should be done
I don't believe the changes that's needed will be brought in . The National Association of Funeral directors wants to be involved there doing everything possible now because they know with new legislation there days are numbered
Hull is ALL THE MORE REASON NOT TO SELL YOUR BUSINESS. This country needs you.
It's totally sickness me beyond belief love ❤️
100% agree any family who has mr fog or his team look after them or there loved ones are very lucky ❤
