I took mine in to my local college at the MIG instructor's request and fully passed destructive testing at 1/4 inch on T, Lap and butt joints. He was absolutely impressed with the duty cycle which was 10% more than the Miller 250 I was using in class.
100% agree, I'm CWB cert. and think this is a fantastic welder. Here in Ont. Canada Canadian Tire sell a blue version, identical guts and trigger etc etc.On sale they're worth it, I own 2 actually. So easy to transport for light use and 110V (15amp) can be done but much rather (20amp) circuit. Been using the Lincoln .030 wire but will try the Yes wire, it's cheaper $.
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make this. Myself and my 16 year old want to hobby weld at our farm and this will be perfect for us. We are getting one today for $129.99 at our local Harbor Freight store.
Learned to stick weld in high school in the early 80s but was interested in learning this type. I picked one up today at HB marked down to $99 and I had a $15 off birthday coupon (I turn 60 this month) so I pulled the trigger. Hope this old dog can learn this new trick. Good video thanks
About 3 years ago my son wanted me to teach him to weld and but he wanted his own set up so We went to HB they had a sale going on. We got the Flux 125 for $99 and also got the stick 225 $189 and He really liked them and I really liked them too so I went back and got me a set of them I have used them more since then than my other welders just cause they just a lot easier to move around plus they run great on a generator too.. But they are really good machines for beginners and for the price and the warranty
Thank you for this video. im an older dude that has always wanted to learn to weld. Saw these on sale at HF and bought one though I still have to get everything else that I need. I couldnt see a good view but it looks like you have a handle on your old one? I am curious about that as mine seems to have only come with a strap of some type.
Markspark, heck yay picked mine up at 8:15 this morning allready, a year and half ago they were 199.99. I have a 1950’s Lincoln Tombstone welder and that still works great I just picked up for free and oxy acetylene torch and now I’ve got a simple little flux welder for those quick smaller jobs
From sheet metal to 3/16 inch steel plate, this little buzz box has welded everything i put it to very well. Its no Miller so it wont have a long service life if you put it into daily fabrication. Duty cycle is short.

1. Check the liner.
2. Checkthe wire guides.
Had this happen to my Lincoln SP 125. I had since 1999.
Thanks for the advice, I picked one up at 61 yrs old I’m learning to weld. Thank you!

How many spools of wire did you go through before it died? I use the Lincoln wire in my Titanium 125
Just picked one up yesterday at $120.
awesome
I am looking at getting me one I wanting to try welding
best skill i ever learned you wont regret it
What settings would you use for 3/16 angle
Maybe around f7 or f8 all depends on wire and metal you just need to get some scrap pieces and play with the welder and figure the machine out

Instead of the GS buy the 11
It’s rated to have welds on top of welds where the GS is rated for single pass only
I will have to try it
