Hello! I have a little problem with this tool, so - when i'm changed affinities to my cores(7 and 9), after applying and restarting pc, my GPU and USB's are still on all cores. Is there any way to fix that problem?
Maybe try to execute it as admin ( interrupt affinity policy tool ) or maybe use process lasso the set the affinities...and search for a tool named interrupt checker from melody.
@@Alchemytweaks already checked using tool from melody(for like 2 weeks ago), all cores on gpu and usb's. I used modern Interrupt Affinity Policy Tool(it contains changing interrupts and MSI Mode), and original Affinity Tool, still nothing

I don't need to tell you that your comment serves no purpose other than just writing something for the sake of it... The guide is what it is, and affinities are not magical filters that, when applied will skyrocket your system's performance. Therefore, in this case, if we believe that the individual conducted proper tests and their conclusions are accurate, it results in worse performance.@@Keaweahe

Read description i have a guide about how to use interrupt affinity policy tool with all details . Yes you must select 1 thread if you have Hyper threading off otherwise you will select 2.
@@Alchemytweaks If HT is off, do we need to set the 1 best processor? Finally, how do we do it for USB, I chose RTX 4070 and PCI to PCI Bridge and gave my processors 4 and 5 in 2 files. Which location should I choose and give in USB?
Yes you set 1 CPU , for usb use xperf and check the execution time of USB driver before and after , also use mouse tester and finally test how you feel the mouse in game or in simple use .
In my case I had hyper threading enable and for that reason an set 2 CPUs If I had hyper threading disabled i will set 1 CPU , we are not talking about cores but about threads , i have a guide that you can search about affinities ( check the description of this video )
what if the cores with highest scores are what i exclusively use for my games? or do i put interrupts on the cores with lower scores (cores for windows processes and all other programs)?
I don't know man all these that u saying are theoretically and you can't set affinities for games because the game isn't device is a process - application .Now if you mean with process lasso or other methods i don't know if you can see any difference ,improvement or something ...

i still dont understand hyperthreaded cores/ My best gpu cores are 11 and 7. if i pick , do i have to pick 10 aswell, since 11 is the thread and 10 is the core? Furthermore changing the network adapters core doesnt seem to work. (Tested in latencymon)
I do not change the threads of network adapter because on my case I dealt with packet loss and high network latency in game. About what to pick you must pick a thread and a hyperthread so I would recommend to do more tests or pick 10 & 11 threads.
@ALCHEMYTWEAKS i figure its the same with usb devices then? Kind of sad since often the core is worse than the thread and you cant pick a different core/thread. Should i chose the HID-compliant mouse , the usb Composite Device or the whole host controller. I want my mouse and keyboard on different affinities and i cant change the controlller by switching usb ports

What about for amd cpu? I dont think i have hyper threading
The name is Simultaneous Multi-Threading ( SMT ) for amd and is the same exactly thing with hyper threading ( HT )

Why you put gpu on 2 cores and not 1?

It's almost rare to see improvement in FPS with affinities but it's not impossible.

No , these programs you running to check the system not a specific a game .
Is it recommended that they be close cpus? ,examples: CPU 1 AND CPU 2 / CPU 8 AND CPU 9
Check the example in my video ,that's the "way" to set them .
