Neat note about Ritual Dogmatika: Five-Headed God Dragon is actually a great extra deck monster. It's level 12 so you can Dogmatikalamity/macabre it as tribute for Alba Zoa, and it's got 5000 atk so you can Nadir Servant it to search Alba Zoa in a pinch, or Punishment to pop just about any boss monster. (except Accesscode, because that bs opaf card exists)
Also, Dogmatikamatrix's send is only _soft_ once per turn.
I would recommend trying out a copy of White Knight, since he can pitch 1 from each extra of your choice each turn.
And you should definitely run maximus in the deck
Despian Luluwallith is a better target to send with Kalamity. Lets you special Quem in the end phase
Since the release of despian luluwalilith, any other level 12 extra deck monster is basically a waste of space in an extra deck that is ironically already pretty tight.
If you need a lv 12 send for alba zoa, lulu is by itself a fleur in hand for the next turn.
If you need to have alba zoa in hand with nadir servant (why not ecclesia though?) you can just send arc light for the relic or white knight and search alba zoa with herald.
For punishment target the best send, if you can't n'tss, it's bucephalus (the link-5 shuraig) that send garura for a draw, since monsters that have more atk than bucephalus usually have a negate or destruction immunity and you can just walk over with relic eff.
The send off matrix is a soft once but you can only activate only one matrix per turn.
Also, yes, white knight should be played since at worst you can just play white knight control to send n'tss during the opponent turn or granguignol to special ecclesia and search fleur.
And last thing, the shadoll package is really bad, if you want a lock just play iblee which is also a really good bridge for small world and makes the second part of matrix eff online

White Knight is something else entirely, I THINK saintess goop like White Relic, Quem, Quaeritis, Cartesia, and Granguignol. Man that goop makes a lot of monster cards. You're still right that White Knight is a she though.

@@therranolleo468funny enough there's actually a manga about deck building where the mc imagine the monster from the archetypes that he mashed together interact with each other. (Swordsoul+tenyi+yan zing and infernoble+phoenix gearfried is some of them) it's called ocg structure deck series if I'm not mistaken (definitely have structure deck in it's name at least)

I actually had a dream that one of the top duelists at a summer camp was using a Lycanthrope deck.
That second duel was amazing. based as hell Darklord player. First duel was really great too! Just hard to top what what came after it lol.
The only problem about Rituals are their Pilots, to be honest. At least for some of the Modern Ritual archetypes like Magikey, Nouvellez and Libromancer, as well as some old archetypes that got recent support. It's more likely to say that Ritual Summon as a mechanic might be the hardest to play, especially because of the management you have to make and how willing you are to go minus or out your board just to renew or add stuffs to it.

@@roachybill basically because of psct changes the old ritual text and new ritual text mean the same thing you can check that for demise king of armageddon otk you can summon him with advance even the when the card say you should not
@@roachybillAll the pre-PSCT printings of rituals have "This card can only be Ritual Summoned by..." but the rulings always ignored this. Demise OTK would not have been possible otherwise.
I love when they print legacy support for an archetype and make the most busted card represent the character that played them in the anime, Bibliomuse being very much an older Aura Sentia. That's also why I hate SHS Prodigy Wakoushi, because it's the _wrong fucking guy_

For the prediction princess deck you would side whirlwind weasel for striker or runick, same thing as guard dog but for spells and traps.
U can also side/main deus x krawler for certain matchup

Dogmatika Ritual is one of my favourite decks of all time. Since it's been released in Master Duel I've had at least 3 games where Tear players cannot out Ecclesia after I give her 4000 ATK using White Knight's effect with Alba Zoa, it's so fun

I loved this episode. Ritual is my favorite summoning mechanic.
i once got 4th out of 32 at my locals with a prediction princess similar list (I was also on whirlwind weasel for maximum turn skip) during DABL right before MAMA, while losing almost all die rolls and only losing to spright in a game i probably would have won if his imperm was any other handtrap (had called by in hand)
No one will ever convince me ritual monsters should not have been in the extra deck
Ritual monsters in the manga were essentially spell monsters.
You didn't have to have the ritual monster in hand, you just needed the ritual spell and the tributes.
There was no extra deck.
(Fusion monsters weren't cards either, just a state monsters became after activating polymerisation.)

This reminds me of one of my old Duel Links masterpieces. I'd use ARA to send 6 level 1 normal monsters with different attributes for Lycanthrope, which would then enable me to summon Elemental Grace Doriado

To be fair Pen is only bad because they made a new set of rules to kill it. Pen would 100% be the best summon type if not for master rule 4.
I always find it extremely funny when Legacy Support is busted out the ass but the required originals are sucky enough to make the end product balanced

Cyber angel in duel links with tarotrei and once they started lifting a lot of the decks old hits in the banlist was so fun, turn 1 you'd setup a big tarotrei with targeting protection so you could book an opponent's monster or even flip up petit for a search during the opponent's turn and turn 2 you would otk with the cyber angels' removal, attack boosts, multi attacks and piercing it was very f2p too
Except it's lv9 which is super weird on a deck that has lv2,4,6 and 8
@@nunocarvalho6671 it was easy to make thanks to the prediction princess ritual spell letting you exceed the level of tarotrei with your tributes and the release of manju and unlimit of petit making the deck much more consistent, not to mention the lower deck sizes
@@nunocarvalho6671 and before manju the deck played merciful machine angel for a trade-in like effect that also tributed your stuff for extra searches and the level 3 djinn that served as ritual fodder from the grave and provided even heavier targeting protection

@@jimtsap04 even after manju merciful is played, it's just too good, and the djinn was collective delirium, it's bad, just going pure and playing the lv8's as your boss is much better and less likely to brick
normal summoning is kinda trash too, I mean not only do you have to have the monster in your hand, but it has to be level 4???? like COME ON!!!

Ritual Summons were what got me into this game to start with, so seeing these decks in action was a thing of beauty.

Rituals are by far my favorite mechanic but they have been so neutered compared to the others for some reason. Lots of investment for very little pay off. I'm still rocking my Prediction Princess/Herald deck 😌

for prediction princess there's also a card called whirlwind weasel which is the same but for activating spell/traps, and the deck can easily set up both turn 1. so special summoning, no spells or traps
I found a way to include every single existing Ritual monster in my cube by removing the Ritual Spell requirement and just tributing monsters from hand or field whose levels equal or exceed that Ritual Monster's. It's treated as a Ritual Summon and they're treated as if summoned by their Ritual Spell cards. It's surprisingly balanced in a limited format.

I hate how Rituals are still getting disrespected even after Drytron became meta on MD during 2020.
Drytron didn’t make ritual good, it just a good ritual deck. Hell, Drytron main game plan is to sit on a Ultimateness that it cheated out. 90% of the winning list barely run its archetype rituals.
It's mostly drytrons where busted I have watched a Drytron deck rebuild it's bored from top decking a name.
Drytons are just boring, you do so much combos for just basically a pre-preparations of rites

If u play against someone who do know the choke point of the deck its really easy to end there turn with handtrap
Drytrons are just more of the exceptions that proved the rule a la Nekroz, when Ritual's historically at its best it's because it's also pushed and busted out both asscheeks
I know ritual isnt popular but im a big fan of Nepthys. They are in my top 3 decks to play. Are they tier 0? Absolutely not. Are they incredibly fun. Absolutely.
Are they? The deck is absurdly slow and I'm telling you this as a Metaphys player. Waiting two turns for...what? Just a worse Unchained. Big link could've been fun, but at the end of the day it's just another towers.
I feel like this archetype is better off as an engine in some other deck with similar playstyle, like Fire Kings, once they get their structure deck.

Nah Dogmatika doesn't gel super well with Drytrons since the Drytrons stop you from special summoning your Dogmatikas (i.e. Ecclesia and Maximus) and if you're extra deck locked from the Dogmatika cards you can't summon Fafnir (which is like the best Drytron).
Dogmatika looking out for us Ritual players he lets us tell him our problem
I know that rituals are the worst but i love em more than any other summon type. I love underdog decks that become either anti meta or meta (shout outs to drytron and mikanko and my personal favorite, libromancers)

Iv been trying to play prediction princess in Master duel, I combined it with the terrors continuous spell, which makes Guard dogs stars OP. Also you can get Deus X Krawler to just completely shut down your opponent

Yeah but every ritual deck that was ever relevant was broken in some way except demise and herald back in the day.
Nekroz, Gishki hand loop and Drytron all were very unfair decks in their time I'd argue more than any other deck in the meta.
right, but that's why he excluded them from this jank bank. They do things that break the "rules" of ritual summoning/monsters. Drytron sometimes summoned cyber angel benten as part of the combo, but otherwise the deck was a normal combo deck with the exception that it ended on a boss monster with a blue border that wasn't a link. Also being able to detach material from Mu-Beta Fafnir as tribute for a ritual summon makes about as much sense as being able to make a little tower of zoodiac xyz monsters.
Nekroz monsters aren't really ritual monsters in that they just do things completely independent of their status as a blue bordered main deck monster. Kinda like Illusion of Chaos.
And Gishki is able to loop materials so much that it kinda stops mattering that they're ritual monsters. Also the hand loop is boring. (this is definitely the one that could have stayed in the video, but I guess mbt thought it wasn't jank enough.)

@@gatocochino5594 at its time it had the Djinn lock, was 80 times as consistent than anything else in the game, they single handedly increased the speed of the game by a lot, could rip cards out of your hand and caused a tier 0 format for that lasted for almost a whole year.
I said all decks I mentioned were unfair in their time, not in 2023
@@nebbythewhale6450 well tbf for drytron it was a way to modernise the mechanic. I see it as kinda what they did for Tear where they dont have a fusion spell and just made them fuse from the graveyard.
And Gishki handloop would have been funny to see in the video.
I'd say that historically and right now rituals are better than pendulum. Right now Drytron and Dogmatika are way better than any pendulum deck and Gishki and Nekroz are arguably better right now than any pend deck that's not Draco.
@@idkdontask7142 First, djinn isn't a Nekroz card. Second, Nekroz was the best deck of that format with or without the djinn lock. Even after djinn was banned Nekroz dominated until they hit the deck in late 2015. Third, Nekroz was not tier 0(it was technically tier 0 at one event when the djinn lock was legal, but usually was 30-50% of top cut).

Well Fusion was arguably worst. Not in card economy, but you USED to need 2 specific cards and the Fusion spell. Ofc now any fusion spell reads SS some Fusion, also send 2 cards from deck to GY, but those cards will draw/fetch you other cards or have effects 😂
