you can tell how the music has changed since these GOLDEN years, not just for music, but for the civilized world. And we drift further and FURTHER away from what is REAL, and GENUINE. Like it was back then. At least much more so than now!!!!
You got that right. 1984 was probably the peak, then slow degradation of the true arts. Now music is made of plastic. "Music". I'm glad I was there but it sucks to say goodbye.
good enough that I can’t say you’re wrong. I feel like there are about a dozen or more contenders. Early 70s he was the biggest rock god of all time probably
No Plant, no Blunt. Plant is the reason all this existed, thick-head boy. Grow up unless you are placed in a mental institution, that might be possible.
i heard this track in 1983 as it hit the UK charts on the Tuesday dinner time, . and i thought ????"what a load of crap" !!!!!!!!! UNTIL 1.30 mins . and i nearly fell through the concrete floor !!!!!!!!!!! . a MASTERPIECE
You can tell he’s still getting used to being up on that stage by himself. Love Plant, his voice is amazing. Love how he’s always challenged himself and done various projects.
Em, they are all faking EXCEPT for Robert! (Look at whether the guitars are actually plugged into anything, they are not, lol). So, he is actually singing against a backing track, which was rare back then.
I went to see the guy in Columbia SC for this tour. Never was a big zeppelin fan. This concert changed my mind. His voice crying out of the darkness. Haunting. Thanks Del Ross and Tiny
I remember hearing this song a few times on the radio at some point a few years after its release. This was before the internet and cell phones. I could not make out what the title was and ended up buying all of his albums one by one trying to find that song. I finally got Manic Nirvana and there it was..."Big Log". To this day it just kills me that song was named "Big Log".
A great track from this album. When you were a young Led Zeppelin fan you might have thought this track was shite, but if you grew up you realized it was really cool.
Every musician ever... when leafing through a record collection and finding the Plant/Blunt albums... will pull them out, point, and say "killer guitar." If there's a song they did you haven't heard, you'll recognize it as Blunt within about one bar. There's only a handful of guitarists with such a strong signature sound.
Almost live, Roberts vocals are. But the backing track isn't. Robbie's guitar isn't plugged in. Bummer. Oh well, this was very common. They'd use the studio tracks for everything but the vocals. It what a lot of televised performances were. Not the musicians choice.
The guitars aren't even plugged in, no mics in front of the amps either and it fades out at the end like the Partridge Family. Only the vocals are live. It's like karaoke. Good performance by Plant but I was hoping it would be truly live.
Nie jest to muza z mojego pokoelnia bo to mój okres przedszkolny ale uważam,że to był jedne z lepszych czasów ,okresów muzycznych. Początek lat 90tych, do teraz to nieporozumienie, zero dykcji, ogólnie słabizna. Koniec lat 80tych to kres super mody i super muzyki
Роберт для меня всегда остается молодым, таким какой он в исполнении этой песни в 80-е.
This is one of the best songs from the 80's . Back in those days were a lot better.
Finally I find a live performance of this song, sung in his real voice. Best version here.
Vocals are great in this but can't seem to find a good quality full live band version of this yet
Excelente
Very good talented gifted individual,if not one of the greatest singer from the past century like David Gilmore.
О, Роберт, Вы - бриллиант в мире музыки.
from Russia with love❤
Przez operację specjalną już go nie zobaczycie na żywo ruskie terrorysty....

Best front man of all time ! Prove me wrong!
nothing to prove you;re wrong, man ... absolutely
good enough that I can’t say you’re wrong. I feel like there are about a dozen or more contenders. Early 70s he was the biggest rock god of all time probably
Robert Plant certainly. But what about David Lee Roth?
Robbie Blunt is the reason this song has the groove. Great performance!
Got to see Robbie live in 85 and it was awe inspiring
Totally agree. Plant, of course, adds a lot too.
Absolutely.
No Plant, no Blunt. Plant is the reason all this existed, thick-head boy. Grow up unless you are placed in a mental institution, that might be possible.
I read in a magazine that the guitar Blunt used in the recording of this song was stolen. To this day, he has never recovered that guitar.
He’s so Fine! I love him for eternity!❤

Well done 👏 for Robert, after the transition from the Zeppelin supper group !

The song on Manic Nirvana is Big Love. Big Log is on The Principal of Moments.

They were Bluetooth that's why they weren't plugged in! 😂😂😂
"Big Log" title has what to do with lyrics? Do you know?
Any body could have sung this, it is the guitar that makes it special.
@1:23 - Wrong lyrics.
Yes hahahaha 😂
Pictures it burn :D
This is 1985?
I'd say 1983-1985

no need whatsoever with Robbie Blunt there
