I feel you - it would be intimidating. Fortunately though, unlike chimpanzees, gorillas are actually known to be chill and nonaggressive. They only use their immense strength if they have to in self defense. Still tho you gotta be careful.
I don’t see gorillas grooming each other like other apes, baboons and monkeys do. Do they like being groomed? I’ve always thought they might like being brushed if they enjoy grooming. I love watching your family interact with them!
