I'm so excited just to see gameplay, I haven't played this game in 20 years. Sucks I have all Apple now and probably cant run the program without a lot of effort.
I used to love this game and it is one of the two games (with Civilization II) that I developed mods for. I made a good mod that fixed some stuff (more actualized stats) and introduced some near future aircrafts. Can't even remember the mod name lol. Thanx for the video. It brings some amazing memories. I can't run FA on my PC anymore! It was working on this same PC a year ago but it won't run now. I get to the various selection screens but when I click to fly it just CTD. Anyone know a fix?
I can only give basic suggestions like uninstall and reinstall the game and patch, tweak compatibility settings, etc. One thing that might help that I think helped with some problems I was having is to run system file check. It's a long shot, but if you open your start menu and type "cmd" without quotes, right click the cmd program that pops up and click run as administrator. Then type in *sfc /scannow" without quotes and hit enter. Let it run. It may not find anything but if it does it can help a lot
I changed where it was being hosted and added extra instructions with the package, and rerecorded the video to be higher quality and a bit more condensed.
I think it has to do with the scaling, you can tell some things like carriers and airfields are smaller than they should be, and maybe even distances as well so the speeds might be different than what they say they are.

For some reason that game always lagged the sense of speed. 10:43 looks like 2 hot air balloons approaching each other, not 2 Jets with afterburners.

Your so right. It felt slow moving sometimes. Jet Fighter 3 was the first time I got that sense of ground speed back in the day.

I'm painfully aware of that as it was my dream to fly that plane. It's just a silly scenario, as Russia wasn't attacking US carriers in 2020 either.
