💯 agree! This movie is severely underrated! But folk at the movie companies have just recently figured that out and are therefore making a sequel. Yay!

Recommended: Angel Heart (1988), neo-noir with Mickey Rourke, Lisa Bonet, and Robert De Niro. Don't want to say too much, there's a mystery to solve. 🤐
If you like authenticity as far as showing reloading you should check out another Keanu Reeves movie, John Wick. Keanu did extensive weapons training so that everything would look correct even the fast reloads.
There's a story behind Keanu's Dracula performance. As Coppola tells it, Keanu was /committed/ to doing an English accent, and even though he was no good at it, Coppola didn't have the heart to make him drop it since Keanu was such a sweet dude.
The movie is good, but you should check out the Hellblazer comics that he's from! The movie characterization is practically the opposite of how he was originally written. In the comics, he's essentially a con-man that uses real magic, and is only ever really a "good guy" when being good happens to line up with his goals. The movie characterization of him being a "good guy exorcist" is like, imagine if they made a Spider-Man movie, but he acted like The Punisher in how he "deals" with bad guys. The best part, though, is that all the magic/demons/traditions/etc in Hellblazer are very well researched; every demon name, spell, belief, religion, etc., are all real-world beliefs about the occult/supernatural that people once held, so, even though it's a comic, it's got a very well defined sense of realism to the magic/supernatural elements of the stories!
This movie was a fun one, but my favorite one with the Angel Gabriel being terrible is "The Prophecy" with Christopher Walken. The remake of the movie, called "Legion", was pretty good, too.
Dragon;s breath shells are real. But they’re so hot, they tend to melt the shotguns that fire them. I’ve heard of a (fictional) character who basically carried a duffel bag of sawed off shotguns. Only good for one shot anyway, so… might as well get cheap guns.
They're not _that_ bad, but they are pretty rough on barrel linings. If you only shoot a few of them and then thoroughly clean your shotgun, you'll probably be okay.
Awww you call your babies Beetlejuice 😄 that's cute. I feed a little black baby that comes around every night before I go into work and every morning when I come back, I call him Artemis.
That Quiznos Sub song is from a old UK site called Rathergood, they have been making these types of crazy videos 2 decades ago, hahah. The original song is "We like the Moon"

Constantine is THE BEST KEANU REEVES MOVIE!!! Better than Matrix, better than Speed, better than EVERYTHING!! Constantine is just SUCH A BADASS... When he goes into the hospital and he just starts annihilating the demons because of the HOLY WATER IN THE SPRINKLERS!?!!? Who would have ever thought of putting a cross into the sprinkler system water, so that it just weakens every demon in the room, and Constantine can just clean em all up!!
I agree very underrated, it's different from the comic version as far as the look, he's not british here but still a magic user and still a bit of a douche essentially like his comic counterpart and Matt Ryan's version lol. Constantine is just a cool character in general. Theyre making a sequel too. 😃
It was pretty true to the comic. My favorite element is the devil curing Constantine's cancer so he can live and have an opportunity to sin. That feels like exactly the move Worm tongue would make.
I also always need subtitles, I didn’t understand like 60% of dialogue as a kid because of my auditory processing issues and it opened my world to rewatch movies I watched as a kid with them 🤣
Okay, I hope you have the Netflix. A year or so ago, they released ten episodes of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comics. When he wrote it, it was set in the DC comics universe. So there a very few scenes with proper super heroes. Netflix didn’t want to license the Martian Manhjnter for a single 5min scene, though. So they re-wrote the DC characters out. Except that Constantine is a major part of one section. They hired Jenna Coleman (formerly of Dr. Who) and it worked out fine. The male character in the comics is canonically bisexual, so when they had to visit Constantine’s ex, it didn’t break anything. Netflix already has the show Lucifer, which was its own comic spin-off, after Gaiman introduced him. The show is… basically a murder of the week cop show, with too much humor, and a few of the characters have names found in the comics. The stories are nothing alike. Gwendolyn Christie as Lucifer. She does a pretty good job, too.
Great reaction, as always. I saw this in the cinema when it first came out..I had a certain gate to my walk and chain-smoked all the way home after..bc some young men be easily influenced. Also, Beetlejuice is a double for my own lil boy Shadow, so I really enjoyed that cameo 😊
7:28 While that would be a very authentic reaction experience, picking your mental health over some supposed obligation to your audience was definitely the right choice. 13:10 I feel seen. Just randomly stopping in the middle of a video to go watch a different one because your brain is like "We need to KNOW..." is so relatable and definitely hasn't already happened to me while watching this video.
Constantine is peak & has my fav version of the Devil! It may be such a quick scene but I love it you can tell there’s backstory & lore but it’s handled so well.
This was a great hidden gem and I doubt the sequel will live up to it. Aside from this movie I wondered if you've ever seen the original Exorcist movie and if so, then I highly recommend watching the Exorcist 3 movie which has a direct connection to the first one. The Exorcist 2 was a very badly made movie which has almost nothing to do with the first one and most people will tell you to avoid it completely, but the 3 movie was very well done with great actors in it and a plot twist you won't forget.
I get your annoyence with the lack of loading guns. My pet pieve is the constant cocking of shotguns. Like they load it at the house or whatver and cock it so theres 1 in the chanmber. Then they get to the location, get out the car and cock it again. Then before they shoot, they cock it a 3rd time. Like why are you cocking the gun again?
Constantine's usual MO for dealing with a problem 1: Summon bigger fish 2: Con that bigger fish into dealing with the problem, hopefully with no consequences
The Catholic theology behind the movie is very very heavy. Whether you believe in it or not, the deeper you look into the back rooms of the teachings, it's very prevalent in the movie.
This movie was a financial failure for the studio so a sequel never got made. However the critics and fans liked it so it is a cult favorite. The comic book character is more like the one portrayed on the cw but as it's own thing this movie is cool.
Ko, thank you another terrifying & whimsical reaction vid. Watching your range of emotions is always a roller coaster ride. As usual your aesthetics are amazing especial your finger nails. The gun is base off a real one, Armsel Striker 12 Street Sweeper. Also I high recommend the series PENNY DREADFUL but not to react to just personnel pleasure.
This movie took so many liberties thats not even the same character, if you want a more accurate adaptation then watch The Constantine show or the Animated movie "Constantine: City of Demons", those do more justice. with all that being said this movie was ok for me, not something I wouldnt watch again.
As a fan of the comics, and the Constantine TV show, I still love this film. I loved the crossover in "Crisis on Infinite Earths" where Constantine (Matt Ryan) met Lucifer (Tom Ellis). Unfortunately, it was FAR too brief. And I despised the gender swap of Constantine in Sandman. It was like "More Cowbell" in an already diverse cast.
Nice, I'm so happy to see that you enjoyed it! Even though Keanu isn't very much like the comic book version of the character (Constantine should be blonde and have a British accent) it's definitely one of my favorite movies. ^_^
Great movie. Keanu Reeves does a great job . And has outstanding performances by Tilda Swinton, and Pete Stormare. By the way. You’re the first person I’ve ever seen with a phobia of crabs.
Oh, didn't know this was based on a DC property. Also, I actually remember that fever dream of a Quiznos commercial lol. 😂 I'd long forgotten that Quiznos even existed, since I haven't seen one in YEARS, but you unlocked a long dormant memory. 🤣
Never seen the movie but I really like the Hellblazer comics that its based on, the movie itself is partially based on the Dangerous Habits arc which is one of its best arcs
first things first... your collar really does not fit. leave it off or give it a rework, so it fits.... believe me, afterwards it will (apart from looking better) be more comfortable to wear...
Your reaction to The Crow is the best one out there, went here for Constantine..but, it doesn't seems like you in mood for this, or just maybe not liked it..? Idk, I'm sry, but I don't really like your take on Constantine :/
It's not underrated it's highly overrated it butchers the source material the live action tv show that ran for one season is way better than this movie
Accuracy shouldn't be that big a factor when adapting something since movies are a completely different medium than comic books. It's overall a pretty damn good movie. The only thing that hampers is that they were forced to make pg13 friendly and it ended up getting an r-rating anyway. Most movie goers Don't give a shit about source material. How good is the movie ? That's what's important.
@@maxpayne232 even using those criteria it's highly over rated it only survives as a movie due to that Keanu is in it and honestly it's not one of his better performances but to each their own.
