Someone at Solaris or in Canopus would love it I’m sure.
They have Scilitrons in this that have two Arrow IV and C3 master. It also comes with standard and incindeary ammo. Its very nice.
For me it's counterbalanced by ballistic artillery rounds doing loop-de-loops before impacting.

I just wish I could fit more light mechs in a battle than heavy mechs. I'm always limited to the same number. I don't have the choice of bringing 16 urbies or 1 Mad Cat (equivalent cost) or even a choice of 3 urbanmechs or 1 Mad Cat (tonnage). I have the choice of 1 urbie or 1 Mad Cat which, just isn't a choice. Always bring the biggest mech. You can make some of the smaller ones work, but it's harder. I kinda wish it was a mix of all three. This dropship has so many mech bays (maybe with sizes like this bay can only fit medium or smaller mechs), can drop this much tonnage, and costs this much to use on top of the fuel cost (maintenance or something + initial cost). If you want you can buy more dropships... Make it so, as the game goes on, I have to determine how much hardware I want to bring and what kinds of missions. Maybe don't bring 4 assaults and heavy artillery for a 5 skull convoy escort. Maybe instead bring 15 medium mechs so they can keep up and light aircraft for harassing and distraction. I CAN"T bring 4 medium mechs because they will just die. For a lower tier mission I can downscale and use only 2 med, 2 light and a myrmidon to limit operation costs and make a profit.
I guess I want more management in my mercenary company management game. It will make the battles more interesting too if I say, horrendously underestimate my opponent's equipment and didn't bring enough stuff or likewise if I bring too much stuff and don't make enough money to pay the bills.

You want to unsettle someone..head over the Roguetech and grab a Katyusha rocket. 180 rockets for the lulz all in a 20T handheld launcher.

Artillery seems kinda busted in this mod. Love it

Big guns never tire.
They are pretty strong right through. The AI doesn't really counter them well. But then, AI is expecting you to move slower and lose evasion under fire.
Bluewinds tweaks the AI for this mod but most of the base spec mechs are lifted from tabletop, and most of those are... not optimal. So that's all the AI has to work with anyway.
if you can swing it, put a long tom cannon on a omni mech that can hold 20 tons of firepower. When something is in range, it is dead.

Tex, if you find one, get the Gyrojet Ammo Feeds. Theyre rare as balls and make gyrojets into MRMs that kick ass harder than MRMs do
Do bta gyrojets make the wobbling arrowIV look like straight up laser beam by comparison? Real gyrojets are wildly unpredictable.

2x snub nosed PCC in a hunchback works extremely well (1 taps a lot of mediums at point blank - and lightly armoured heavies eg. Quickdraw). They both hang below the shoulder however.

Oh wow, I just salvaged a Merlin last night! Spruced it up with an XL and Ferro-Fibrous, put some better weapons in it and replaced a lower performing Blackjack.
Orions are great. My favourite mech I ever built was an Orion. With triple Plasma, Inferno Rockets and Flamers it could force any Heavy or Assault mech to shutdown after a single salvo. Made duels a joke.
Terrible in Arctic or Jungle conditions, obviously, but in Deserts or Martian it was unstoppable, and in Lunar it was a god.
To be honest, this was many years ago now and I'm sure I'm misremembering it, but I still remember the simple joy this silly machine gave me, and for that I'll always love the Orion.
O/ been enjoying the watch so much I've gone & given it a try myself, haven't had as much "fun" as u have but Grampa in his HBK-4J has done me wonders so far (Also no deaths yet thou I didn't go the "Urbie" start so that probably helped)

Lots of oddball 1-shot mechs showing up in the last couple of bta updates. Kinda annoying when an archer FULL OF ROCKETS spawns in the 3rd wave of pirate mechs right behind your assault mech.

I currently have this running on the second monitor while I try and play BTA my self.
Naturally most of my attention is on my own game, so the flashbang of hetzer LAM hit me like an AC20. It's cursed and I want one.
I found a start dumber than urbies. In Roguetech, there a starting "lance" that gives you 10 pickup trucks with random weapons strapped to them. They ... are surprisingly effective if understandibly squishy. Especially the RL40 x2 truck. Who's ideas was that? Can strip the armor off an Atlas.
What is an LRM swarm if not the efficient delivery of therapeutic mech-upuncture over a significant distance?
I was playing this and my TSM hunchback won a fist fight with an Atlas... I love the hunchback so much.

Locust pilots are the weirdest (ref. Life In The Big City, CityTech); Assassin pilots are a close second.
The warriors book was also really good, but way more gritty.

I feel like any enemy commander who mocks delta company needs to be reminded of the fact they started with 5 urbies and now they have heavy mechs.. that speaks to either excellent tactical ability or suicidal ability . Either case should be feared and respected

I built a Battle master 1s with 3 40s and a 30, in mwo. Standard engine slow as balls, but when you walk around the right corner at the right time and core a 100tonner, it's pretty satisfying

With BTA's last update I hit a major BUG . When your targeting hits 10 it acts like it is 1. Have you encountered this ?
Never encountered that in MANY hours of playing BTA.
As it says on their website for every new patch: "v16.7 is an "update" update. In this case, clear your Mods folder manually and then run the installer, it'll do the work for you. "

It also sports six tons of armor and six ER Mediums because why not.
