  • Check out the amazing DynaTrap in action, and see how YOUR yard can be virtually mosquito and biting-insect free! Our award-winning DynaTrap technology uses a 3-way protection plan for insect extermination. A powerful UV emitting UV-Light LED bulb produces a warm and bright light that attracts insects to the unit. The DynaTrap also produces carbon dioxide, which is irresistible to mosquitoes. After insects and mosquitoes are lured to the trap, the powerful fan draws them into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die.

How does it create C02? I have seen ones that require propane to burn to make the C02. How does this give off C02? Are there cartridges or something?

I feel like I have mine too far from my patio but the insert says 20 to 40 ft from the high traffic area. Last year I had in the corner of the patio and there were thousand of bugs all over lol . Will it hurt the unit if I have to put in somewhere without shade? If I could I could bring it closer then but not too close .

It turns on and off by rotating the slats on the side. They are junk though. I’ve had 4 failures in just over 2 1/2 years of use. My last one had light fail after just a few weeks of use and now my replacement has also failed after a few weeks also. So I’m on my 3rd faulty unit in total. I’d steer clear of this junk.

I’m on my third faulty Dynatrap DT1050. First one started making noise within the first season. The start of the second season the build failed. So I replaced the build. Then my fan died completely. They refused to sell me any parts even though the part is listed in the online manual as a replacement part. So I purchased a new one with an extended warranty knowing they aren’t very reliable. My replacement made it about 2 weeks and the light failed. So still being under the store return time i asked for another. So here i am maybe 3 weeks in again and the light also failed yet again.
After this I definitely will not be buying another Dynatrap product. They are just absolute unreliable junk. Don’t waist your money.
