In this video, I do a mosquito killer lamp faceoff. These mosquito lamp claim to kills mosquitos. It is not a zapper though. It can be used for camping as a bug or mosquito killer. It may work as a bug killer, but It does not work well as an electric mosquito killer, and it is very poor as a pest control insect repelled. You might think it is an advanced mosquito exterminator, but ask the question "do bug lights kill mosquitoes". These devices come under many brand names such as, senca, nywaba, pisexur, lenago, tombux, hedgx, and others. The claim to be a mosquito killer lamp, mosquito killer machine, mosquito killer trap, or a mosquito lamp killer. In this mosquito lamp review to a mosquito lamp test on this mosquito lamp indoor and outdoors. Is it really a mosquito trap? Does it work as well as a mosquito magnet?

You can't imagine how much I would appreciate it. 🥰
I have a similar one but it has a bright white light and a blue light setting. Which light should i use for plain pesky flies?
I do not know much about the many varieties of flies in the world. Unfortunately, I can't offer any advice on how to attract them. Sorry.
By placing them all right next to each other, you theoretically would have created a very concentrated attracting force for mosquitoes if the manufacturers' claims are to be believed.
The fact that you got almost zero mosquitos despite clustering them together means these mosquito zappers are complete crap at controlling mosquitos.
Good review! Need more of these.
Thanks. I am glad you enjoyed it.
By placing them right next to each other, you made them compete with each other, I would rather test them out individually to get accurate results. back to back in 3 days/nights in a row, with exact same conditions. then it would be a real face-off
Actually, I have individual videos for each one of these products if you want to watch them. The results are pretty much the same. By putting them in direct competition with each other, is the ONLY way to have the "Exact Same Conditions" because Nature is chaos and no two days are the same.
Oh! I see, I should watched them first. Thanks so much though, it helped me make informed decision. #PurposeServed
Well the winner of the competition is clearly the best in attracting and killing the mofo’s
In the past I have owned Mosquito Magnet devices that use propane to create carbon dioxide as an attractant. While some claim they work, I have never seen them live up to their claims. I owned one that I paid $700 for and it employed four different methods of attraction. It worked the best of any I have ever owned but cost about $50 a month to run and did not eliminate the mosquitoes from my yard after a full year of continuous use.
You can't put your test items next to each other because the first one will affect the results of the next one. It'll intercept bugs, thus distorting the count.
That is the whole point of a competition, to test things against each other and see if one prevails. If none prevail, then it shows that none are better, and that all are the same. If you want individual videos for each of these devices, I also did those. You can find them here. ruclips.net/video/-FHvfRDQkIk/видео.html
Very good video, thank you :-)
And you reply to most comments! What a real gentleman 👏
Thank you. I try my best.
#3 is a trap, not a killer (unless you leave the insects there till they dehydrate), so not really comparable. Also, its slots for escaping air are large enough to let many tiny bugs just crawl through.
Thank you for this great information Mikey C. I appreciate it very much when viewers contribute useful information, as you have here.
Sooooo 3 machines, 1 mosquito.
Yep. Light does not attract mosquitoes.
Great video and thanks for the effort and info!
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it.
I bet the inhalation device was probably the bugs favorite ride, lol they were just surfing through it. I also think that the word got out about the uv light trick within the mosquito community, and thanks to some effective curfews and other counter measures put in place by mosquito officials i have never found not even one dead mosquito in my much bigger and badder zappers!
I love it! Thanks for the laugh.
@Nothin' But Gadgets You bet, lol thank you for the informative video as well.
Thanks its helps me a lot to decide continue upload more videos that content help to others
Thank you. I am trying to stay afloat, but it is getting hard. Making these videos take a lot of time and effort and RUclips has been cutting my revenue each month. They cut it by 70% in September. With the economy the way it is, I may not be able to continue if people don't start helping me.

Helpful as in: NONE OF THESE WORK? If you’re looking at killing moths and harmless mayflies?
OK!
@@adamexenvironmental4468 Yes, that actually is the point of the video; to show that they do not kill mosquitoes so people are informed about this.
Please don't buy any item from them. We have pre-paid 2,100/- for 3 Mosquito killer LED lamp but they sent us only one broken lamp. When we tried to contact nobody is answering my call.
I am so sorry this happened to you. I have made many videos demonstrating that these devices do not work in an effort ot prevent people from wasting thie rmoney on them.
Oh good! I just bought the middle one for our upcoming camping trip. Hoping it helps
I hope so too!
I let it run on my living room last night, it caught a bunch of gnats and other little bugs. I didn't think I had any bugs in the house!
Which is best according to you?
None of them work well for mosquitos. Some work better than others for moths and that sort, but those are not really the problem.
Can you do a review on the electric ones to use at home, in a balcony or even inside, when the door has no screen on.
I have done many such reviews. Just look at some of my most recent videos.
Thank you. So many people traps out there.
My pleasure. Glad it helped
I think those shouldn't be used only inside tents or other enclosed living areas. Some insects are very important in local ecosystems. We should protect them instead of killing them.
What do you think?
I think that there is a certain logic to what you are saying. Personally, I do not use bug zappers. I performed these test to demonstrate what these zappers kill. However, the reality is, more people kill more bugs driving their car in a single day than these zappers killed. Times that things the millions of cars on the road, and that is billions of bugs being killed daily by driving. So, while I personally do not use bug zappers, I don't think using them is contributing significantly to the detriment of the insect population. Cars kill a million times more each day. JMHO
Rest in Peace to bugs that died that day! Dam you Mosquitos 🦟

You need to do this test on days with similar temps and humidities as one may have benefited from the other.
Thanks for commenting.
And you know kind of be outside with them for 15-20 each to see if they actually work for their intended purpose, which isn't so much just attracting and killing mosquitoes but keeping them the hell away from you.
Oh nooo................I just received my 4 Orange Mosquito Lamps. They are all recharged and ready to be hung under my patio. I like how the lights shines from these Lamps. But trapping the bugs? and how much? I'll see. I am disappointed that the Orange Lamps didn't win.
They are actually quite good flashlights and camp lanterns. I take mine fishing and hang it up in a tree while I am bank fishing as a lantern. I can see the bank on the other side of a half mile wide lake with the narrow beam spot flashlight. It is like a spot light. Unfortunately, not in all the test I have done do they kill mosquitos, and that is why you buy them. Get your money back if you can.
nice one man!
Thanks. Glad it was helpful.
Yeaaah I have the trap (n3), I've had mosquitoes in my room for 3 days straight and it didn't do a thing...

I swear I need this my house keeps getting mosquitos like 3 and 4 even when when the windows are close
Unfortunately, none of these are gonna help the mosquito problem.
mosquito attracted to Breathing carbon dioxide
One thing is mosquitoes are attracted to light that's why if you would have turned on the light because I have a lantern and boy did they come to it like crazy and I'm a pest control technician for 9 years so yeah they are attracted to light if there's light there's blood is what my boss said and he's right anybody who's near light that sweats those bugs are going to come right straight to it and if you had the light on I think it would have been a lot better results
👍
The last i try it. But you should put oil so that the mosquito trap there. Coz.if not when open in bottom the mosquito fly instantly.
Thank you for commenting @jsonnobody!
I ordered one that looks identical as middle one. I hope it works well.
I works to zap some bugs. It does not attract mosquitoes though.
Currently in South America now. A landlord bought one for me. But it’s too small to be efficient. U need a larger one to really attract many mozzies .. small ones like these have to be in an obvious radius of attraction
It’s from my experience growing up in Singapore.. and that was like more than a decade ago.. I’m surprise no one use them here but instead moz spray and repellent. Because I remember my family one to be effective and i lived in front of a jungle/swamp
@@jingyitay6179 consider the role insects play in the enviro and not just their sole irritant to. your skin. the bigger picture matters.
That is so weird. I mean, i only got the inhalation mosquito killer lamp from my parents but I managed to catch quite many mosquitos in there. I check to see it online and somehow it doesn't work for other people? Is theirs fake and mine real 😂
It can catch some, but the question is, does it catch enough to make a difference? If it catches 20 out of 200, there are still 180 left to bite you.
In my opinion it's anything flying killer it's not a mosquito killer. Thank you very sir.
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it.
nice video.. subbed.. i look forward to futurre vids!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Imagine giant alien beings taking over the galaxy and making videos just like this about killing us. Lol 😂
😂😅 Hey. Good movie idea.
I paid about $70 for one of these - not happy but at least I now know that I can get rid of it.
Sorry to hear that. I would try to get my money back. Some have been successful at getting at least a portion of their money back. It is worth a try.
I just murdered six mosquitos with my bare hands and I’m not sorry
You killed more than these big zappers. Lol!
I'm curious to see what would happen if you added mosquito bait to the setup.
It would probably catch more mosquitos, but the question of whether was enough to make a difference would still remain. Catch 100 out of 1000 would not change much.
Good job, please make a video on mosquito killer, which attracts the human heat. 😀
I have tested some of these in the past. Machines like the Mosquito Magnet and other similar devices. I found that, while they do attract some mosquitos, they do not effectively reduce the mosquito population enough to be significantly noticably. Also, their cost of operation is very high, cost from $20 to $30 a month, or even more. This is not to mention the initial investment of the machine which can run as high as $500 for a premium model. So it is way too expensive for me to do a test like this for my small RUclips channel that makes almost no money. Of course, if someone wants to send me one to test, then I would be happy to do a full review on it. Who knows, maybe a manufacturer will send me one to do a review of in the future. I just hope it works better then all the others I have tried because they are not gonna like my review if it does not. I review products, I do not promote them. If they do well, I say so. If they don't do well, I say so as well.
@@nothingbutgadgets Now this is what I want to hear! The truth. You even said the cost of operating them. The entire response is what I was looking for. Can you tell me what unit, other than this $500 dollar unit, that works for killing mosquitoes? I live close to a man made pond/lake, in my community and the 🦟 bad. I can stand outside and just see them in a swarm. I don't like opening my door in the evening, let alone go outside, but I want to be outside. What works?
All these commercials on youtube that have the same kind of story (a Belgian engineer invented something extraordinary), the same music, the same video presentation (images of various unknown people that don't speak), the same narrator voice. Then you know they are trying to sell you junk.
Yep. 💯
That 3rd product is Useless device on the earth. I purchased after seeing 85+ five star ratings and it is not working after using for 8hrs.
Sorry man. I hope you tried to get your money back.
Why did you film it at night? When it's colder and mosquitoes are less active, And there is no light so we can't even see what's happening?
Bug zappers that rely on light only work at night. They do not work unless it is dark.
I bought that one in the middle thanks for posting such useful video. 😊😊😊

only thing I've seen that really works is a trap that uses propane.... but those things are pretty expensive and outdoor use only
Correct.
hmm... so this is what hank hill meant by propane accessories.
All bad. The light source attract all bugs except mosquito. Mosquito do not need light source to attack.
Those are NOT mosquito killers. If that is how they are advertised, it is false advertising.

Please say the name of the product as you talk about them instead of "this one"
Thanks
These products come under a myriad of names and brands.
How would this do during the day?
They do not work during the day. These devices attract nocturnal bugs that are attracted to light. During the day nocturnal bugs do not move. Diurnal (Daytime) bugs are not attracted to light because if they were, they would all fly towards the sun.

"inhalation" might be better indoors.

As usual mosquitos the ones we want dead are immune to traps. Most of the zappers kill bugs we need. But your wrong. Mosquitoes are drawn to green light and definitely carbon dioxide. What we breath out. The Dynatraps do have carbon dioxide strips but need dust or bug guts to activate. You dont want carbon dioxide in your house. But you do want all bugs in your house gone so a baby zapper might be useful. I have 1 but it only catches little biters. Its sucks cause the buzz bgone looked like a worthwhile investment but scams are everywhere. Starting to think building our own is the only way the mosquitos will die. Shame Disneyworlds people arent offering up how they did it. Yeah somehow Disneyworld has almost no mosquitos in a swampland area.
Thank you for commenting
Disney still does have some. They do a good job tho of reducing them. From what I read it has a lot to do with how the park was built. Eliminated standing water areas, keep flowing/moving water and areas/plants that normally mosquitos would breed were removed. I was there last year and still used bug spray didn’t have any issues from what I remember but I did see them near the out hotel. Anyways I’m looking for a solution against mosquitoes so be comfortable on our balcony. Have you found anything reliable?
@@spidermonkey304 weve been using coffee grounds at work. They dont like camphor, garlic, lavender, mint, tea tree oil, basil and citronella. Apple cider vinegar eucalptus and witch hazel. Instead of killing that damn mosquitoes it killed that innocent flies😢
Yep.
putting them side by side is a bad way to test.
if u give each 1 day , all might get same result.
It is impossible to give them a perfect setting in an uncontrolled environment. By putting them side by side, they are competing directly with each other for attention.
2nd one, doesn't work at all...waste of money... not a single bug insect or misquote caught so far.... despite powering on for hours....
Yeah, pretty useless.
Your video says mosquitoes...we don't need to know about bugs! Need a good mosquitoes zapper!
All of these devices are sold as mosquito killers, but as my video shows, they do not accomplish what the advertising claims. I know it is upsetting, but it is better to know the truth than to waste money on devices that do not work.
For me one solution is to stop killing spider they prey on bugs like mosquito
Yes, spiders are great flying insect killers.
I call BS. I have the one in the middle and it doesn't do anything. A fly went in and danced around and didn't get zapped at all!
I showed live footage of it, so ....... Calling it BS would be like looking the sky and calling it BS. You saw how it performed with your own eyes.
Now, it is true that not all bugs that enter it will get zapped, but this true of any bug Zapper. Bug zapped function by bugs completing a circuit. If the bug does not complete the circuit, it will not get zapped. That is how electricity works.
Please, understand that I consider all of these devices to be worthless and not worthy of buying. They all failed completely at killing mosquitoes and I made that abundantly clear. I did not promote any of these devices. I simply provided an honest unbiased head to head test. So I think your BS comment is a little rude and uncalled for.
I'm not throwing shade on you but I said what I said and I know what it did and did not do. I can send you the picture and I would upload here if I could. Thank you for commenting Brad! You are correct
Think also about the number of other, non-human creatures that rely on these insects to survive. I think bug repellant is the way to go and avoid killing birds etc unwittingly..:P
It best to try to learn to live with nature if possible. In the Amazon, there are these huge black ants that have big mandibles and look scary. When I first moved there I killed them when they showed up, but later began observing that they picked up any food that feel on the ground and carried it off. I then left the alone and when I was eating, I would just toss what I did not on the ground and they would clean the place up spic-n-span. They were also the best set of power tweezer you could ask for. You just grab them by the head and put their mandibles over whatever tiny thing you wanted to grab, and they would clamp down like a vise on it. Then you just let them go on their way. I once had a house setter stay in my house for a couple months while I was away. She complained of the horrible mosquito problem. I was confused because I did not have it when I was there. Come to find out, she had did a thorough cleaning for the house and cleaned out all the cobwebs. She said my house looked like a haunted house and she was afraid to sleep in it. I laughed and said, "So you killed off all my Orkin spiders I hired to build mosquito traps around my house and now you are complaining about the mosquito problem.
Sadly, I am anaphylactic to chemical perfumes, fragrances and scents. I take medication every day and carry an EPI pen. I also love Deet as I puff up and swell from all insect bites... Sadly, I have started reacting adversely to deet and deet products ( which are the only ones that really work) I also LOVE being out doors with camping, hiking and gardening, A device like this would be great for my health and safety.

Moral of the story is non of these are worth the moeny. Better off using natural oils to repell them on your skin. I use Iguana Oil here in SE Fl where this yr mosquitos are biting like crazy. Killing more non-target insects, like moths and beetles, is NOT success. The fact that it kills harmless insects but not mosquitos means that all three are garbage. I wish you had said this instead of praising the more powerful bug-killer.
