    Is the inside light CFL bulbs?

    • @PaulReinhard
      @PaulReinhard  7 лет назад +1

      Nope, no CFL, just the old bulbs. The other ones are the normal downlights you get, not LED. For the LED test I use the penlight. Take care bro.

    Dear Paul Reinhard. I have a piece of gem but I don't have any idea.blue green red is color what kind of gemsit is

    • @PaulReinhard
      @PaulReinhard  3 года назад +1

      Hi Rhylle, it's hard to say from this description but it may be Alexandrite. Get it checked out by your local jeweler, it could be worth quite a bit. Could also be a Garnet. If the jeweler thinks it's something worth investigating, send it to a lab in your country. Keep in mind that there are a lot of synthetics around so before you spend money certifying it, have someone look at it.

    bro is this gem natural or man made?and whats the price of this gem which you are holding?

    • @PaulReinhard
      @PaulReinhard  2 года назад +4

      It's natural. Synthetics don't change color like that. Synthetics have a very forced and sudden color change even in multiple lighting conditions. Because of it's rarity there is no price like we see in Sapphire or Ruby. For example, stones which are widely available can be valued based on supply and demand. How do you value something which has almost zero supply and unknown demand? This is fine art category. Most of my colleagues agree that the price is basically what the buyer wants to pay. It could be 10k or 100k. There is no benchmark. This stone was sold to a lady in the US and I can't disclose the amount.

    Is color change the same as color shift garnet?

    • @PaulReinhard
      @PaulReinhard  2 года назад

      Yes, it's basically the chromium content in the stone that allows it to change color. That's the magic ingredient.

    What kind of garnet it this also

  • @GrimsGhostG59

    How do I buy one.

    • @PaulReinhard
      @PaulReinhard  4 года назад +1

      I don't think the question is how you buy one, the question is how do you buy one at a fair price. If you take a look at the AJS gems website, you can see the prices as an example. Ridiculous. The only way I can sell at a low price is to buy at a low price. But at the moment, this material is not easy to get since rough from Tanzania has dried up in general for Garnet and prices have doubled and tripled. I expect that rough will start showing up and the prices will fall to a normal level. I am looking for stones like this all the time and if one comes up that's a reasonable price it will be put up on the channel.

      I like the ajs gem site I use that to use to shop for gems on Etsy and stuff. I’m new to gems and stuff. So far Alexandrite and color change garnets are my fav😌

    Amazing Origin?

    • @PaulReinhard
      @PaulReinhard  5 лет назад +3

      These garnets come from Tanzania, discovered in the 1980's. Still being mined today but mixed with other garnets. Only a few have this type of color change.
