Steps to follow.
STEP 1.
Checking Compatibility
-Check the label of your Chromebook for the model number and Google for the Specs. (this works on Chromebooks with Intel processors).
-Go to the website: coolstar.org/
- Select your manufacturer and processor from the list.
#Note if your processor is not on the list then your Chromebook is not compatible to run Windows OS.
You need at least 20 GB of internal storage to run Windows OS on a Chromebook.
I recommend using 32GB and above.
Another site to check if your Chromebook can run Windows OS.

STEP 2.
Creating your 64-bit Windows 10 bootable drive.
-Download Rufus if you already have the ISO;
rufus.ie/en/#
-Create a Windows 10 bootable drive online

STEP 3.
Put your Chromebook into developer mode.
Plug in your charger.
Back up your files before starting this step.
- Press ESC + REFRESH + POWER
-Press Ctrl + D
-Press Enter to turn off OS verification.
-Press Ctrl + D
-System will transition to developer mode in 30 seconds
Your Chromebook will Restart and Beep twice when it is done transitioning into developer mode
Connect to WIFI and it will automatically check for Chrome OS updates
STEP 4.
Disable write protect on Chromebook.
-Remove all the bottom cover screws and remove the cover.
-Remove the screw with WP or arrow by it. The screw is unique from the other screws on the motherboard. It has a broad flat head.
If after careful observation of the motherboard and you can't find the screw watch this video.

STEP 5
Download Utility Firmware.
-Browse as Quest and open Chrome browser.
-Press Ctrl + Alt + T (terminal opens)
-Type "shell" and press Enter.
- Type this Utility firmware download commands.
cd;curl -LO -k mrchromebox.tech/firmware-uti... && sudo bash firmware-util.sh
- Select the option "Install/Update UEFI (Full ROM) firmware".
-Press "y" and press Enter (2x)
-Press "y" if you want to create a Stock backup(at this point, insert your empty USB drive)
or "n" if you do not want to create a backup.
The firmware will be downloaded and installed within some minutes.
-Press enter to return to the main Menu and p to turn off your Chromebook.
STEP 6.
Booting from USB Drive and installing Windows.
Plug in your External keyboard and mouse.
-Insert your 64-bit Windows bootable drive.
-Turn on your Chromebook and immediately press on the Esc key on your keyboard.
- Navigate to Boot Menu and select your drive from the list to boot from the Windows drive.
-Select the Language and click Install.
-Select I do not have product keys or enter your product keys.
- Select your preferred Windows type or select Windows 10 Pro.
-Accept license term
-Select custom install.
-Delete all the partitioned drive each at a time or press Shift + f10 to open the command prompt.
-Type "diskpart" and press enter
-Type "list disk" and press enter
- Type "select disk 0" and press enter.
- Type "clean" and press enter.
Cleaning successful.
-Type "exit" and press enter. (2x) to exit cmd
-Click on the Previous arrow and Select Custom Install.
All partitions are now deleted.
-Create a new partition, Apply, and click next
-During OS installation, you will be asked to Enter your PC name, password and agree to some terms.
STEP 7.
Download drivers and check for updates.
-Go to the website: coolstar.org/
- Select your manufacturer and processor from the list.
-Select your Chromebook model and download the available drives.

I just love you i mean i made me do the impossible and now i feel like a hacker, u just gained another subscriber, in my case there was no write protection screw it turned out to be the battery i had to remove the battery to disable write protection also in crosh shell would not let me run sudo so i had to press ctrl + alt + right arrow or f2 key, in the menu poped up had to type chronos as login and then type the command as you said and magic it worked

thanks for the nice video, but I ask you something: I have a HP Chromebook x360 11ge, but I can't find the writing screw to remove. Isn't there a way to install windows without removing the screw? Or can you tell me what position the screw is in? (now , with the screw, when I enter the crosh it doesn't mark me as @localhost but as @vortininja... Is the screw the problem?) After installing all drivers and updates, audio is not working in W10. It is not avilable to find any of audio devices... and driver as well. Can you please help? :)

hello if my chromebook is just 16gb can I use external drive in running windows 10 or as bootable drive
You can install windows on the 16gb internal storage.
Insert an sd card to run other apps and store files.
I haven't tried to boot from an external drive with windows 10 on it, but as long as there is a boot menu option. I think you can run it from an external. You just have to select it from the boot menu anytime you want to use it , or make it the 1st in the boot order.

You need to create a window 10 bootable usb drive and insert it into the chromebook.
Turn it on and start pressing the Esc key on your keyboard immediately it turns on.
Navigate to boot menu and select the windows 10 usb drive from the list of drives and install the windows 10 on it.

Hi, when i click esc+refresh+power - i get a window with information CHROME OS is missing or damaged. I cant get to the developer mode. After refresh the laptop is getting started normal, but still cant get access to developer mode.

Turn off your device, open the back and disconnect the battery.
Press Esc + Refresh + Power
Press Ctrl + D and press Enter to enable developer mode
Press Ctrl + D to boot Chrome OS
Open a tab and press Ctrl + Alt + T
Type in "shell" and press Enter.
Paste the following into the shell and press enter
cd; curl -LO mrchromebox.tech/firmware-util.sh && sudo bash firmware-util.sh
Select "Full UEFI Firmware" from the options.
After successful flashing, turn off your device, open the back and connect the battery.

@@itmofficial2829 Yes, but for some reason the Windows 10 iso didn't let me, I tried Windows 11 and it did, however the processor runs at 100% all the time and the Chromebook gets too hot, it is a modified iso for low-end PCs, and still the processor cannot maintain it, any solution?
Download the iso from the Microsoft website directly

Ypur model is fully supported to run windows 10 .Follow the steps in the video. Your model requires you to remove the WP screw from the motherboard. Just follow the steps in the video and you are good to go.

Pembersihan berjaya. -Taip "keluar" dan tekan enter. (2x) untuk keluar dari cmd -Klik pada anak panah Sebelumnya dan Pilih Pasang Tersuai. Semua partition kini dipadamkan. -Buat partition baharu, Guna, dan klik seterusnya -Semasa pemasangan OS, anda akan diminta untuk Masukkan nama PC anda, kata laluan dan bersetuju dengan beberapa syarat.
