  • What's up you guys! Today I am sharing a couple little things I had to do to button up the 28! Nothing to crazy, but still had to be done! As well as a local chopper show! Really cool to bring both my interests together! Thank you for the support!

It does not matter how much you accomplish doing this stuff. It is the journey not the destination. You are learning and enjoying. We are here as support for you. You're doing fine. Have a great 4th of July. You are a Mom. That is number 1. You are doing stuff. You have to love the sound of an uncorked lumpy flathead V8 FORD. I am not really a biker guy but "Wheels Thru Time" is a great place and RUclips channel. Maybe you guys can meet up with him some day. His Dad was the one that got me hooked on the channel, now the son carries on and he really picked up what his Dad laid down.

Keep it up Kelly. Everyone learns by doing. Painting tip. Light coat to begin with. Just a light fog. Let it flash off, then give it another heavier coat. It's primer, so you don't want or need it to be thick. Just get coverage.

The model A is the best car to chop, I wonder why Ford designed them so tall.Anyway you're doing a fine job.Good looking bikes too.

Kelly, I see you are wearing eye protection, good, but what about your ears. Those air grinders make a very high pitched whine that will destroy your ears, although mine were done in by the lower freq. cabinet blowers of the equip. I worked on in the service. Protect your ears so you can continue to hear those wonderful boys as they grow up. That goes for Travis also.🤗😇

You know I am a late viewer to your channel. While I like following you on your build, it would be nice to have a bit more organization. Though several people must have given positive response to the car club video, it was not my favorite format. I thought I was going to see a young lady hike up her big girl pants and build a hot rod. Not much of that has really happened. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big supporter of your work and I thought we all would be watching a novice dig in and make mistakes while learning like all the rest of us. We all have our preferred ways of doing work. As an example, if I was working on the 28, I would pick a section of the car and fix it. Do the sanding and welding. Use weld through primer to protect the newly exposed bare metal. The holes near the roof of your car should have been cleaned out and weld used to mitigate the holes in the old poorly done work. If you work on either door area, do it. Clean out rust preferably chemically but brushing works. Spray rust reformer inside the door and out. Use weld through primer where more welding will be required. Make structural repairs before cosmetic repairs. You installed two patch panels neat the rear tires but it looks like more body rot is farther back down by the frame. All this should be done ASAP. Metal inside the car is same. Wire brush clean then primer immediately, not days or weeks later after surface rust reappears. I get it you have kids you need to care for. They are more important than any car build but you have explained that and we all understand. It does not appear you have an established schedule nor a priority list. Schedule is not as important as priority. If when scheduling something you know Travis does that task in three days, give yourself two weeks. If Travis works on cars 10 hours a day, accept that you only have 2 hours a day. You have got to budget your work time. Stay focused. While this sounds pushy like I am telling you how builds have to be done, that is not the intent. I am writing about what I, as a viewer sees. A few more heater skelter videos and I will probably pass and find another channel to watch. Putting on a show ? Get some help. The clip shown at the end of this video looked like it was shot in a city dump. See if one of your local big box stores or bar and grill will let you use their lot. With that, a little rain won’t take away from the fun. It can also be a source of food and facilities for the crowd. A little 60s style hot rod music is always good. Finally some give always like t-shirts, certificates for meals maybe even have a parts store help sponsor your show. That is all I have and I do hope we actually get Kelly Builds videos soon. Have fun and stay safe.
