Not a fan of restoring old cars but that car is a work of art and should be preserved forever. Well done.

I was hoping we could at least hear it run. I was amazed at the amount of labor and skill it would take to undertake this project. Yea the music was getting old after 2 repeats. But I'm sure you tube has it limits as to what can be played. After all that work a short ride along would have made all that work come to life. Thanks for sharing. CHEERS

Very nice work. My neighbour had one for his wife back in the day and as a teenager I did a lot of driving in it for my learner's licence; I actually took my driving test in it in '62. One detail that I remember vividly was the gorgeous woodwork across the dash panel. It was also painted a light blue...almost a silver blue. Being a small car it went like stink.

Sourcing replacement parts is extremely difficult and time-consuming.
Often parts just cannot be found - and many have to be manufactured
and engineered - often at great expense.
ManKind is an unusual species - we have the ability to be creative as well
as the ability to be destructive.

I'm puzzled. in the engine pics one engine is a 2.4, one is marked 3-1/2 litre and if I'm not mistaken, another marked 4-1/2 litre on the side of the block. The old lineup was 2.4, 3.4, 3.8 and 4.2. Incidentally those Dunlop brakes were never any good so it is better to swap them out for the later Lockheed/Girling system. If you are being a purist and want to keep the originality I suggest you keep a boat anchor in the car to throw out in case of emergencies. Otherwise a lovely job.
