This horse showed incredible acceleration at the 1/4 pole. Kent Desormeaux basically shut him down with a 1/16 to go, just breezing. What a monster!! Can't wait to see him crush 'em in the Belmont. Thanks for posting. VJ.
Big Brown one of best horse in last 30 years. Threw shoe in Belmont, jockey felt like something was off, so pulled him up. Won on turf vs good turf horse, won the Haskell. 1 loss, 1 throwout of a race (Belmont).
I remember seeing the interview w the jockey who said even though he was running up front, he was holding him back the whole race, then he just let him run. C-ya.
That blimp cam tells it all. He did the same thing in the Kentucky Derby, just taking off and passes horses with about 2 full strides. Not sure why he didn't set record times, I assume Kent kept him with the pack, and the horse was all about push button speed when it was time.

Will accomplish what his great great granddad didn't. He will win the Triple Crown. Northern Dancer came up short at the Belmont but I don't see Big Brown suffering the same fate. The Dancer and descendants Nijinsky, Dubai Millennium, Arazi, Invasor, Makybe Diva all showed similar accelleration in various races. My hero - The Dancer. fabusys - video "The Dancer"
+tony mcgrath Whether he won the Belmont or not doesn't change that fact that he was one of the fastest if not the fastest 3yo over the past 15 years, at least.
John Smith looked awesome in his races and you are probably right in what you say, but can't get away from the fact he was pumped up full of steroids. Respect your opinion John -you probably forgot more than I know about American racing lol
+tony mcgrath thanks Tony. Steroids were legal in horse racing in the US up until 2009 so Big Brown wasn't on anything any of the other horses weren't. To me it doesn't mean anything unless you are comparing horses pre steroid ban to post ban. As a 2 year old under a different trainer, he won his maiden race so impressively that he sold shortly after for 4-5 million. The talent was there, who knows the true impact steroids had with horses. I don't believe there has ever been a thorough study on that. It was a shame what happened in the Belmont, wasn't mean to be. Are you European? I'm hoping Golden Horn makes it out here to face American Pharoah and Beholder, will be some race!
John Smith From Wales in the UK and Golden Horn is in America as I write this, however a race between the three horses you mentioned will not take place as Golden Horn will run in the turf, don't know who you want to win John but I'm hoping American Pharoah wins the Classic to prove his greatness. Good luck for the Breeders Cup John
Big Brown will be put back on his steroids. Then he will win the Breeder's Cup, then he will make 'Horse of the Year.' As of 2009, no more steroids allowed.
he looked like a monster horse compared to this field, he just ran away with it, it doesnt matter if its five seconds slower than secretariat if secreatariat isnt in the race, its all relative to the horses actually in the race. And give up bashing desormeaux, real quiet lost cuz he was tired and victory gallop had some energy to run him down.
yea you are right about real quiet, he would have been disqualified anyway because he was veering all over the place. And maybe desormeaux didnt think anyone would catch him, he was ahead by 8 lengths at the top of the stretch
2nd newsflash: Today Big Brownstain had some dirt in his face for the 1st time in his career = result = he packed it in with 6 furlongs to go, it was all over by then. Curlin just phoned BB and told him thanks but no thanks don't bother showing up at any 3 year old and up races later this year. LOL
Smarty RAN MUCH TOO FAST EARLY AND GOT OUTRUN LATE, and Big FREAKED, almost jumped the rail and throw the rider, he was pulled up... after a week in which he had a quarter crack in his hoof-not a good thing week of a big race, Dutrow changed his legal drug pattern and the horse had his training schedule messed up for 2 weeks...EVERYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG...DID!!
Rick Dutrow could be an arrogant ass, but he NEVER BROKE THE RULES LIKE BAFFERT or ASMUSSEN, Pletcher, even...Pletcher got into a little trouble for DRUG OVERAGES, same as DUTROW, who gets a 10 year/lifetime ban?
I'm retarted, but you say Da'Tara looked like a monster horse while running one of the slowest Belmont times ever. Kent Desormeaux did the same thing at the Belmont in 1998 with Real Quiet. Go watch some film on that race if you don't know what I'm talking about. See what all Desormeaux had to do to Real Quiet just to LOSE that race. KENT DESORMEAUX SHOULD BE BANNED!!!!!!!
Newsflash: Big Brownstain raced today without steroids medication. 1st TC race in which DRUGtow did not have him juiced up on steroids and you saw the result, LMFAO.
That horse was just out for a run until that last corner and then he said ok you wanna race?
this announcer should announce everything, hes epic.
This horse showed incredible acceleration at the 1/4 pole. Kent Desormeaux basically shut him down with a 1/16 to go, just breezing. What a monster!! Can't wait to see him crush 'em in the Belmont. Thanks for posting. VJ.
Seeing this is 2023...wow. Brings back a lot of memories. I was at the Belmont in 2008. Terrible
He crushed nothing - drugged out of his mind - huge disappointment
I just love this horse and as a breeder now in New York! Hello babies coming again. Love this horse lucky # 7
Kent Desormeux, you’re a legend! I’ll never forget this ride!
Big Brown one of best horse in last 30 years. Threw shoe in Belmont, jockey felt like something was off, so pulled him up. Won on turf vs good turf horse, won the Haskell. 1 loss, 1 throwout of a race (Belmont).
#SKYSPORTS BIG GLORY OF BIG BROWN 🇺🇸
Big Brown has rocket like break a way speed.
I remember seeing the interview w the jockey who said even though he was running up front, he was holding him back the whole race, then he just let him run. C-ya.
its damn cool to see that acceleration of his in the end when they give us an air-view. thats really fast.
I guess Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to watch newly released movies online?
@Alonso Rayan lately I have been using flixzone. You can find it on google =)

WATCH THE BIG BROWN
That Turn of Foot Was Extremely Impressive...99% Chance He Would Have Won The Belmont & Crown if Not Injured
Horse Racing- the rich version of NASCAR
Good pick on Da'Tara
The Belmont IS the third race.
THe second race is the Preakness... which this video is.
My hero - The Dancer.

steroids are not illegal in the triple crown states so all horses use them for the races very few don't.
So what happened in the Belmont guys? Huh, did he win? How far 5, 6 lengths
+tony mcgrath Whether he won the Belmont or not doesn't change that fact that he was one of the fastest if not the fastest 3yo over the past 15 years, at least.

Tony doesn't count sheep at night but the "big browns" that he has inhaled....get back in pink dress the next big brown is incoming....lol
1:53 you can see the acceleration there this horse was different a shame he was hurt in the Belmont
now watch, mike and chris, , it Hello
hello
Big Brown will be put back on his steroids. Then he will win the Breeder's Cup, then he will make 'Horse of the Year.' As of 2009, no more steroids allowed.

da tara made him pull up
yea you are right about real quiet, he would have been disqualified anyway because he was veering all over the place. And maybe desormeaux didnt think anyone would catch him, he was ahead by 8 lengths at the top of the stretch

How the Tf did he not win the Blemont after acceleratng like this in the preakness lol?
What a disapointment.
How did this horse lose the tripple 👑 crown him and Smarty Jones, should have won it all
Smarty RAN MUCH TOO FAST EARLY AND GOT OUTRUN LATE, and Big FREAKED, almost jumped the rail and throw the rider, he was pulled up... after a week in which he had a quarter crack in his hoof-not a good thing week of a big race, Dutrow changed his legal drug pattern and the horse had his training schedule messed up for 2 weeks...EVERYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG...DID!!
@coltcub64 I tried a straight $10 exacta with BB and Icabad Crane. Figures IC got beat out by a nose for 2nd lol

This might have been the worst Preakness field EVER!
J
NO BIG BROWN
It had nothing to do with dirt or even Big Brown. Kent Desormeaux wouldn't let him run. Big Brown was fighting the bit trying to run.
Newsflash: Big Brownstain raced today without steroids medication. 1st TC race in which DRUGtow did not have him juiced up on steroids and you saw the result, LMFAO.
Too bad this horse was all drugged put with steroids during his triple crown campaign
Kent Desormeaux has struck again(1998-Real Quiet).
Let's all hope they finally ban the most crooked jockey in racing, KENT DESORMEAUX!!
Go on? Explain
Eight belles is way better
No fucking way. She couldn't catch him in the derby while he was under a hand ride.
