    He moved to the UK in 1933 from Germany due to his family being jewish. He passed away in March 1986, he was canoeing with a friend on that day.

    it's well worth a google of this guy as he had a very interesting life, escaping the Nazi's and moving to England in 1939.

      His company was called Tyne Canoes it was originally founded on the tyne before moving south. The company made both kayaks and canoes. Including one and two seat folding ones

    An interesting character and good bloke.
    The good type of immigrant, clearly neither English, Celtic or British in any way, but adapts to British life and makes a valuable contribution to British society, without trying to forcibly turn their new home, into their old one (warts and all), against the will of the majority of the native population

    7.30 am push Kayak in trolley to the River Thames - paddle to work.
    5.00 pm paddle back to find someone's stolen my trolley - carry Kyak home... A 2024 reality check.
