    When you are at the 1 percent musical skill level, you can do that kind of "it went like this" stuff, and it's exact. Thank you, Sir Paul!

    Fela's music is so unique, and that's what makes it memorable. Paul met Fela at his peak in 1973........

    Great riff. Amazing memory. John Lennon had a similar encyclopedia memory for riffs, tunes, others lyrics, public domain music, etc. It’s what made them the best songwriters ever.

    Recording 'Band On The Run' in Africa with all the experiences WINGS had made for one of the all-time greatest rock + pop album ever recorded 💯 That African Riff is fantastic. Amazing how nice Paul's interpretation of it sounds on his Fender Rhodes electric piano 🎹 thanks for taking us downstairs for the demonstration Paul 🎶 Rock on! ArtyThan ☆♡☆

      @@arissongsmusic What i meant was did Paul play that riff he remembers on the electric piano because that's how Fela played it back in 1973

      @trevorbrown6654 okay he could make a song out of it,
      I don't think he did that exactly? but for sure he used that style + influence on a few of his songs back then + today, even, subconsciously. What he's doing on this video sounds terrific + sounds original + nobody would even tell it's not his, it really sounds great. A little bit like a Bob Marley feel 🎶 come to think of it, he may have had that in mind when he created "C Moon" 🌙 I love that one. The flip side of "Hi,Hi,Hi" it definitely has a reggae feel ✨️

    I still have a riff in my head from Kenya in 1968 and have never found it; if anyone knows how to 'find' a song from a remembered melody? Could be worth something?!

    • @alexposilkin9683
      @alexposilkin9683 7 месяцев назад

      You can try that google feature where you hum or sing a melody and it gives you options. Worth a try even if it’s a long shot.

      @@alexposilkin9683 Very long shot but thankyou. I did try that once. The probability of a pop song heard in Kenya, in the 1960s (I don't even know whether it was Kenyan, could've been Tanzanian - such as the Jamhuri or Morogoro Jazz Band - or Congolese) the chances of that being on a current database must be almost zero. It's a great tune and one that needs to be resurrected - with new lyrics, vocal & instrumentation.

    Paul's naeivity almost got himself killed in Africa when he and Linda got robbed
    this 'no one will hurt me, i'me a Beatle' attitude ?
    didnt work out to good for Lennon either
    'life skills' has nothing to do with songwriting

      That’s the song Paul heard that made him weep I believe, it has the same beginning riff I could be wrong though.
