Good morning from SoCal, Wow! That was amazing! Seems like you saved the best for last. I agree with Mike that it’d be hard to choose which place is more beautiful between Ha Long Bay and Ninh Bình. So your 30 days trip in Vietnam came to an end. Hopefully that experience with many beautiful memories will follow you for life. Thank you for sharing your videos with us. It’s not just a trip but it’s also your perspectives about Vietnam, its people, and its culture. You two, throughout your videos, have demonstrated that we as a whole can achieve harmony by understanding, caring, considering for each other though there are many differences. Thank you for respecting, and being kind to our people. I wish you two the best of luck in the future wherever you go and whatever you do. Be safe and healthy.
Hi Ando! Thank you so much for your kind words. It has been quite the journey, and we are sad that it is over for the time being. We're excited for our next adventure but a bit sad we won't have more Vietnam content for a few months. The people here are the best, and we can't wait to return to show our friends why we fell in love with the country.
Loved this one guys! Another of our favourite spots! And Mike, I can't believe you got the dragon pretty much alone! When we were there it was PACKED!!! 😂
Great video! Also the songs at 1:00 and 13:56-- love those! 😆 (Haha, I love the cheap thrill of recognizing random royalty-free songs in other people's vids.) We wanted to go to Ninh Binh during our trip to Vientam last year but because of the 30-day visa and the fact we had to stay in one place a month, had to scrap it. But this has sealed the deal that we need to return for a visit (maybe not in rainy season-- y'all are troopers.)
Omg, I know we want to go so bad too. We spent 30 days there last year, too, but we were not limited to one place, not sure why we didn't make it to Ninh Binh. I think we're going to try to head back early next year.
Thanks! We were vibing with the jams on this one. You guys use Artlist too? 🙌 You have to check it out. It’s so amazing. And we weren’t there during the rainy season, it just happened to rain the last week of our trip haha… maybe it was the beginning of it? 🤔
Those cause and effect posters were hysterical! They should sell them as souvenirs. 😂 I've always loved Ninh Binh and think it's gorgeous in every way and really enjoy when people bike around the area so we can see more of it. Sorry to hear that Ashely was sick, but Mike's climb was awesome. I was surprised there were so few people there as you usually have to fight the crowds. That must have been amazing to have the place to yourself so you can be practically alone with the dragon. The drone footage on top was fantastic!
Isn’t it! And yea, we think they are hilarious too. They should make postcards!!! I was also pleasantly surprised at the lack of people there when I arrived. Get there about 8 am and there’s very few people. I almost didn’t go because I woke up later than expected, but I’m glad I did. Thanks for your kind words. Glad you liked the video and drone shots. 🤗

Oh, Mike's Bernie dance...bwahaha! Never heard of it, but yes, it does look very Bernie-esque. And OMG, your homestay is adorable!! I have seen so many cool homestays there. Isn't December gonna be cold for the north? I think mid October may be better, but I guess it depends on what you're planning to do (e.g. Ha Long Bay may be too cold in December, but not sure about Phong Nha, Mai Chau, Ninh Binh, or Ha Giang Loop...the Central and Southern regions may be nicer, though).
😅😂 Neither of us are dancers lol. We just try to have fun when we can. We LOVED that homestay. The host was amazing, the breakfast was the best we’d had yet and the rooms were so cute. It was so conveniently located. 10/10 recommend. December may be cold! 😂 But our friends will be here and we told them they can’t miss Vietnam, so we are making a special trip to take them.

Both Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay are amazing. I can't tell which is my most favorite. One is on land and another one on sea. But If I have to pick, Ninh Binh, Tam Coc Bich Dong was the most beautiful place on earth. You guys have done an amazing job in videography and editing. Bon voyage
Thank you so much! That compliment means the world to us. 🤗 Ninh Binh is such a magical place (like, all of Vietnam is too, right?) and we loved our time there. We can’t wait to explore more of Vietnam. Thanks for watching!

Aw, thank you so much! 🤗🥰 Welcome! We’re also happy you’re here. Vietnam is magical, we can’t wait to return. Our new series is in Indonesia, starting with Bali! But we’ll be headed to some more countries before returning to Vietnam later in the year. ☺️
Thanks for watching! We’re back in Vietnam now and currently in Sapa. We’re set to do the Ha Giang Loop next week. Our drone just crashed, which is a bummer, but we’re still excited for the Loop! 🥰
Ninh Binh is the ancient capital of Vietnam, with a system of rivers, caves, mountains and forests that were the defensive land of kings more than 1000 years ago. Hope you can go to the residence of King Dinh, King Ly, and the place where King Ly Cong Uan read the decree to leave the capital and return to Hanoi :)
Have you ever had Birria tacos in the states before??? Some of them have goat in them. Birria actually means goat, but Mexicans were like Americans don’t know any difference so we’ll just use beef. But some actually do still actually use goat, so you might have had goat and just not known it. Birria tacos are so tasty!!!
We have had birria tacos in the US and Mexico, they’re delicious! And we never knew that! Interesting. I wonder if we could even tell the difference. 😅😂 Now you’ve got us craving tacos. We need to go back to Mexico! 🌮
We understand that they are just trying to earn a living. It’s probably nice to have them there when the parking lot is overfilled, but that early in the morning, I thought I’d try my luck at the gates, and it worked. ☺️
I was in Vietnam for 3 weeks July/August. Loved the place and the people and already planning to return too. I think I preferred Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City myself. Great videos
Thank you for your videos as I know it takes a lot of time and energy to that go into these things, especially when you're on the road. I also love VN and its people. I’m glad to hear about your plan to return to VN and look forward to that series. Take care

We'll be visiting Ninh Binh again in a couple of months and hope to share even more from our new travels there. We hope you'll enjoy!
Same! Both are beautiful, but being able to explore freely rather than being stuck on a ship really set Ninh Binh apart. We can’t wait to explore Sapa and Ha Giang. Trying to make plans to do both as soon as we can!
Lovely seen, but your info is not complete . ., If you tell us, how to go there , how much cost you , from which city you come from, airline, etc would have bee nice
We're happy you liked the video. Sorry we didn't give quite as much information in regards to getting around. We came from Hanoi by van, and it took about 2 hours. I don't recall the cost. We'll try to start incorporating this type of info in our videos in the future. Thank you so much for the feedback!
I see you guys are both wearing jackets, how is the weather in Tam Coc, Ninh Binh during Sept? We're from VN, left the country in 1975, went back 4 times but have never been north. Ninh Binh is on my bucket list. Thank you for sharing your journey. The view is breathtaking.
We were our videos we’re filmed in late March actually haha. We just had a lot of videos filmed in Vietnam and many to post before we finally got to them. So when it rains in late March/April, it can be a little chilly, especially when compared to Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, etc, which is where we had been spending a lot of time. ☺️ Thanks for watching! We’re happy you enjoyed the videos!
You can interpret it differently with that "cause and effect" law. I think it indicates lazy people who wander around not working/doing anything. Traveling full time and doing RUclips is a job, and hence, not included....🙂. Thank you for bringing beautiful scenery in Vietnam!
How long did it take you to ride the bicycle from your homestay to the dancing dragons view point? Was it a difficult ride? What distance did you cover?
@mikeandashley That does seem a bit slow and doubt if we can do a longer ride considering our group average age of 58, although fit but not strong cyclist's. We are thinking of riding a hired bicycle from Tam Coc to Trang An (boat tour) and then onto the ancient city Hoa Lu before returning to Tam Coc. The first leg to Trang An is already 7km. And from your reference speed it will already take us 45mins . I was estimating we could possibly achieve 15km/hr. But from your r time for 4km (9.6 km/hr) it could blow our schedule.
I was just cruising though, not trying to go at a quick pace. I stopped and looked at ducks and statues etc. I’m sure if you stayed the path, it would take you a bit less time. I get pretty distracted 😅😂
Well, don't be afraid to eat Vietnamese street food. Believe me, a bowl of pho at a restaurant costing about 100k VND or more is not as good as a bowl of pho costing only about 50k at a popular stall. The same goes for Banh Mi. Have you ever tried a loaf of Banh Mi for 15k from the carts along the road? That is the value of Vietnamese cuisine - Cheap and delicious
We have certainly had plenty of street food! You can check out some of our other videos. 😋 We agree, it’s usually the best! The price for that pho in the restaurant after the boat was for two bowls and the tea. I don’t think we’ve ever paid 100k for pho! 😱 Our favorite was in Hanoi for sure!
You’re both are wonderful couple. Mike obviously, a nice man and Ashley does have a million dollars smile. Mike & Ashley…. Since you visited the south, central, and the north of Vietnam . I am wondering which place will you pick if you have to live in Vietnam ? For 30 days traveling throughout Vietnam have you notice is that the Vietnamese people favored American best when it comes to foreigners? At least from the south all the way to central Vietnam such Danang.
Thank you so much! ☺️🥰 We loved all of Vietnam. It would be hard to chose one place to settle for sure. We’ll have to think about it and get back to you, but the three contenders would be Hanoi, Saigon or Dalat! Maybe one of the beach towns like Đà Nẵng or Nha Trang. So many good places to choose!
We would love to! We just didn’t have time on this visit. We’re making another trip to Vietnam soon though, so we’ll explore there for sure! We can’t wait!
Thank you for picking up the trash. People should be fined and banned for littering at places like that. Love the rainy weather for that area as I think it sets the mood and highlights the beauty in a more ethereal, mystical way. Don't recall ever seeing anyone show the end of the dragon's tail as they often concentrate on the head, so it's cool that there's something over there.
Of course! ☺️ Where we last lived in Alaska, it was such a remote place that littering of any kind was severely frowned upon, so we try to pick up any trash we can when we see it. We agree, the rainy weather really set the tone. We would have liked sun and blue skies as well, but you can’t predict or control the weather. We had a fun time regardless. ☺️ Glad we could show you the tail of the dragon. 🤗
We have our plans to be there very soon! A few countries between then and now, but we’re having friends from home come visit and we’ll be showing them all around Thailand! We can’t wait, it’s been too long and we miss it. 🥰🥰🫰🫰
Bringing a drone is no problem. You do require permission to fly it. And you should be licensed. Thanks so much! We’re really glad you enjoyed it. We’re happy to have you as a subscriber! 🥰🫰
If it has a camera, in Vietnam, unfortunately yes. However, if you’re just flying it in your home country, I believe you just need to make sure you’re not breaking any regulations, and you should be good. Sometimes you have to register your drone, but smaller ones like ours, you don’t need to.
At the main hub of the boat tour they offer 3 different routes, the one you guys took must be the fourth.... I have to say the route you took was nice and serene, very clean and peaceful, but not spectacular like the main routes located in between the tall mountains and cliffs. However the local lady on the side waving at you guys on the boat was something else, she could say hello, but she actually said "hello elder brother and elder sister" in a respectful manner knowing you guys couldn't understand, it put shame to educated people in the big cities who passing by like no one exists.
Yes, we knew of the main tours. Ashley was starting to feel a bit sick, so we didn’t want to spend so much time on them. This was the linh coc boat tour. It was a bit away from the man Tam Cốc boat tour. We wish we’d taken both now, but that’s more reason to come back. This was a nice and peaceful trip though. It’s so sweet to know that the lady on the side was so nice. We met so many lovely people in Vietnam. The people in this country truly are the kindest. They made our trip even more memorable. We can’t wait to return.
@@mikeandashley If you guys come back to Vietnam visit Tam Coc ( 3 caves) and Tam Dao ( 3 islands) a highland French resort town north of Hanoi airport. Tam Dao is not on water but on mountains, people call 3 islands because 3 mountains floating on the clouds . For some reason Tam Dao is not known with foreign tourists, only Vietnamese come here and not a lot of tourists. Searching for Tam Dao you only see Vietnamese videos....hoping to see you guys visiting Tam Dao next time. Take care.
That sounds amazing! We’d love to experience Tam Dao. Getting off the tourist trail sounds lovely. Thanks for the recommendation! We added it to our list. ☺️
Thank you so much! We have many more videos to come from other countries and will be returning to Vietnam later this year to continue exploring as well! Thanks for watching.
I feel like this can be said about anywhere. There are definitely people, groups and companies in every country that provide top tier and poor quality services. We had some amazing experiences in Vietnam, very authentic ones as well, which we love. We used to work in tourism before starting our RUclips channel, so we have a bit of empathy for people in the industry and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I don’t think we’d ever be able to give anyone a truly authentic Vietnamese experience! But that is an interesting thought! ☺️ Thanks so much for watching.
We could see that for a long term place to live Da Lat would be the best choice. The coffee shops and restaurants were really nice! Plus it’s so chill and laid back! ☺️

HAHAH Mikes opening statement 😂 we can relate to that so much, I get so mad at Jacob when he does stuff like that lol!
That cafe was way too cute!!!
😂 I know Ashley well enough to know what will and won’t get me in trouble… luckily I survived both the climb and the reveal. 😅
Right?! And the views!! 😱 Thanks for watching guys!
Just subd... had watched all.of ur videos coz I miss VN. Been in Hanoi , did the Halong Bay tour. It was great, wana go back for Nah Trang ang Hoi An... Hope you can also visit my country🇵🇭❤
Thank you so much for the support! 🤗
Nha Trang and Hoi An are so lovely! We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
And we’d love to visit the Philippines! It’s on our list for sure. ☺️
Ninh Binh is such a magical place (like, all of Vietnam is too, right?) and we loved our time there.
We can’t wait to explore more of Vietnam. Thanks for watching!
New subscriber here! I love your energy! ❤ Seeing you two made me think of traveling to Vietnam with someone special. 😭 I don't think it's possible at the moment but I'm just so glad I stumbled upon your account. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Aw, thank you so much! 🤗🥰 Welcome! We’re also happy you’re here. Vietnam is magical, we can’t wait to return. Our new series is in Indonesia, starting with Bali! But we’ll be headed to some more countries before returning to Vietnam later in the year. ☺️
🇻🇳 welcome to you🌹❤😀
Thanks so much! ❤️😊
Great videos guys!
Thank you so much! 🥰
Re-watching this and still waiting for your return. Tackles Vietnam Ha Giang Loop or Hai Van Pass when you return.
Thanks for watching! We’re back in Vietnam now and currently in Sapa. We’re set to do the Ha Giang Loop next week. Our drone just crashed, which is a bummer, but we’re still excited for the Loop! 🥰
Mong các bạn sẽ quay trở lại Việt nam và khám phá nhiều địa điểm khác nữa.Yêu các bạn ❤❤❤
We’ve been back twice since this video was filmed. Vietnam feels like a second home to us now. 🥰
Mike, i offer you come to HA GIANG, Vietnam. That is such an beautiful palace, trust me guys
We’re planning on going when we visit our friends in December. 😊
xin chào. chúc hai bạn vui vẻ
Thank you so much!
We didn't have a chance to visit these places this time, but we’ll be back to Ninh Binh in December with more time to explore. 🥰
Awesome videos.
Thank you so much! ☺️
Now you’ve got us craving tacos. We need to go back to Mexico! 🌮
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Welcome to our my country .. Thanks
We will study your English
We’re happy to explore Vietnam!
hopefully, you could travel to Ha Giang if you have the next time, That is definitely the most majestic place in Viet Nam!
We’re planning on it! 😊
Great video, love Ninh Binh!
Thank you! ☺️🤗 We also LOVE Ninh Binh! We can’t wait to come back with our friends and do the other boat tours!!
Cảnh đẹp quá đi
You should visit BAI DINH Pagoda and TRANG AN😍
Thanks for the tips, we'll be back in November and we will add these to our list!
@@mikeandashley really look forward to those 😍😍😍
We are too! 🥰
Always love YOUR vlog so much .
You are adorable !
Thanks for visiting my birth country.
❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much for watching! We're glad you enjoyed the video. 🥰
We understand that they are just trying to earn a living. It’s probably nice to have them there when the parking lot is overfilled, but that early in the morning, I thought I’d try my luck at the gates, and it worked. ☺️
B-e-a-utiful! Looks like Mike needs some lessons on club dance moves😊
Hahaha, yea, I could certainly use some. This is why I don’t go to clubs! 😅😂
Very nice brother and sister
Thank you! ☺️
Welcome to Vietnam
Thank you! 🤗🙏
I was in Vietnam for 3 weeks July/August. Loved the place and the people and already planning to return too. I think I preferred Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City myself. Great videos
We also preferred Hanoi but had a great time in both places. 🥰
❤
Thank you for your videos as I know it takes a lot of time and energy to that go into these things, especially when you're on the road. I also love VN and its people. I’m glad to hear about your plan to return to VN and look forward to that series. Take care
We hope the time we put into our videos helps make them more enjoyable for people who come across them. Thanks for appreciating them. ☺️ Vietnam is amazing and we can’t help but return. It feels like a second home to us.
Omg. Can u post your place list that u have come in Ninh Binh???
Most of it was centered in Tam Coc - Bich Dong.
We went to:
Bich-Dong Pagoda: maps.app.goo.gl/THbEEzquXE6X3EF29
Tam Coc Lantern Restaurant for Pho: maps.app.goo.gl/y4E2UUBECVS1PTWQA
Linh Coc Boat Tour: maps.app.goo.gl/shyZ5HPdGUqokoJe7
Nhật Linh Restaurant: maps.app.goo.gl/vkZR8uW6khw9FQY68
Mua Cave: maps.app.goo.gl/3gatLSfAn7TMPEBZ8
And we stayed at Tam Coc Village Bungalow: booking.tp.st/1FE4wOoR
I hope this helps! We'll be visiting Ninh Binh again in a couple of months and hope to share even more from our new travels there. We hope you'll enjoy!
i preferred the Ninh Bhin tour than halong bay ❤❤ nxt bucket list tour 🇻🇳 sapa trekking and ha giang loop
Same! Both are beautiful, but being able to explore freely rather than being stuck on a ship really set Ninh Binh apart.
We can’t wait to explore Sapa and Ha Giang. Trying to make plans to do both as soon as we can!
3:30😂😂 buồn cười thật , nó cũng có một thời gian tranh cãi trên FB 😂😂😂
Oh really? Interesting! We spent so much time reading them, they are quite funny! 😂
cảm ơn bạn
Cảm ơn bạn! 🫶
Good ❤
Thank you! 😊
Đó là nơi tôi sinh ra, chào mừng ❤❤
Oh wow! Such a lovely place! ☺️
Lovely seen, but your info is not complete
. ., If you tell us, how to go there , how much cost you , from which city you come from, airline, etc would have bee nice
The weather in Ninh Binh during September is kinda cool. So you don’t need to prepare warm jacket .Commenting from Ninh Binh
Thanks for the tips! We loved our tim in Ninh Binh. 🤗
You can interpret it differently with that "cause and effect" law. I think it indicates lazy people who wander around not working/doing anything. Traveling full time and doing RUclips is a job, and hence, not included....🙂. Thank you for bringing beautiful scenery in Vietnam!
That's a really good way to look at it! Thanks for giving us a different perspective. 🥰
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
How long did it take you to ride the bicycle from your homestay to the dancing dragons view point? Was it a difficult ride? What distance did you cover?
It’s about 4km, and it took about 25 min or so to ride. It was a really beautiful ride too. ☺️
😇💛👍

สวยมากๆๆๆๆ❤❤❤❤🇹🇭
It is! Such an incredible landscape. ☺️
Is it a wonderland?❤
It sure was! So amazing.
❤❤❤
🥰🥰
Nếu có thể thì lần đến Việt nam tiếp theo rất mong bạn sẽ đến thăm những tỉnh thành ở phía bắc Việt nam như hà Giang, sapa, ...cảm ơn.
We would love to! We just didn’t have time on this visit. We’re making another trip to Vietnam soon though, so we’ll explore there for sure! We can’t wait!
Bike parking 10 years ago was 2000d.
Oh wow! Still, 5k isn’t so bad.
Goat is one of the tastiest animals I’ve ever eaten!!!
We’ve had Lamb, but I don’t think ever goat… unless it’s in the tacos! 😅
เมื่อไหร่จะกลับมาเทื่ยวประเทศไทย
รอพวกคุนอยูนะ😊
We have our plans to be there very soon! A few countries between then and now, but we’re having friends from home come visit and we’ll be showing them all around Thailand! We can’t wait, it’s been too long and we miss it. 🥰🥰🫰🫰
Hi.i love you guys
Hi! 👋☺️ Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰
Ninh bình rất đẹp
It really is. One of our favorite places in Vietnam! 😊
how to bring drone in vietnam? Is there any registration needed? by the way nice vlog 😊 definitely i'll watch your other vlogs. new subscriber here
Bringing a drone is no problem. You do require permission to fly it. And you should be licensed.
Thanks so much! We’re really glad you enjoyed it. We’re happy to have you as a subscriber! 🥰🫰
Thanks for answering 🙂@@mikeandashley
You're welcome 🙂
Of course! ☺️ Feel free to ask us anything.
@@mikeandashley Thank you so much!😊🫶Really appreciate it, Another question 😁 Even just flying a drone is a hobby is it required do get a license?
If it has a camera, in Vietnam, unfortunately yes.
However, if you’re just flying it in your home country, I believe you just need to make sure you’re not breaking any regulations, and you should be good.
Sometimes you have to register your drone, but smaller ones like ours, you don’t need to.
Don't forget to explore Indonesia too 😁
We’ll be there sooner than you think! 😉
@bcode8189 hopefully you’ve come across our Indonesia videos by now! We still have a few more left to post!
👋👋👋 🇻🇳❤️
🥰👋🤗
Go to Chưa Huong, as pretty.
We'll add it to our list of places to visit. Thank you for the recommendation! ❤️

Is March the ideal team to visit this area? Thanks
We think so! That’s when we were there. 🥰 We only had rain towards the end of our stay, closer to April.
@@mikeandashley appreciate it , great video! We’re hooked 👊🏻
Thank you so much! We have many more videos to come from other countries and will be returning to Vietnam later this year to continue exploring as well! Thanks for watching.
You're making videos for RUclips so you are traveling for work, not for fun. (Now I just hope there's not a cause and effect for finding loopholes)
We like your perspective much better than our initial one. Hoping you're right! 😅😊

Did you met King Kong in Ninh Bình ?
We crossed paths. He gave me a fist bump. 👌

🤜🦍
I thought Da Lat was your favorite 🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂 you must be Democrat's ok
It was, but we went to Da Lat first… Ninh Binh/Tam Coc surpassed the original favorite! 🤗
@@mikeandashley DA Lat is the best for living okay 👌👍😁 💯
We could see that for a long term place to live Da Lat would be the best choice. The coffee shops and restaurants were really nice! Plus it’s so chill and laid back! ☺️
