Just watched the film. Loved it. The music was fantastic thoughout the whole film. Nice english humour, screenwriting, acting, characters. Now I want to go to Bruges.
I was already very emotional at the end of the movie then the music over the credits did it, such a beautiful and eerie score. I watched the whole credits!
I visited brugge with my ex girlfriend before ever seeing the movie, it's been years now but when I hear this music it makes me sad, wishing I was back there
Yes Sir! This is something I call music Dont like real classic but soundtracks specially Hans Zimmer and something like this is Medicine for my Ears, Heart and Brain The Theme from Usual Suspects is great too
i think ray was already dead when he got to bruges. he was killed on the train/or en route to bruges, and his grief about the kid kept him locked on earth, forcing him to try and deal with his grief, allowing him to pass on out of limbo/bruges. thats why he refers to it as hell, and thats why he says at the end, i really hoped i wouldnt die. idk just a far out deep thought i had. and that is why he has to return to bruges when he gets on the train, and he is not charged by the police. because he is in limbo, already dead. thats also why ken refers to bruges as a fairytail. because it is the afterlife.
+Misaka Misaka Idk, Bruges seems more like purgatory to me, an idea heavily reinforced by the movie. He is sent to a completely uninteresting place at which he awaits judgement (by Harry, a character shown to have incorruptible morals, like God). I'm not really buying the whole "He's dead before the movie starts" thing, the last sentence is simply there to leave Ray's fate ambigious to the viewer...
that is what annoyed me though, thats the entire reason the movie made me want to formulate a theory, i couldnt stand now knowing if he had died or not :)
It's not going overboard at all. I personally agree with the purgatory theory but your theory could be be true as well. At least it's true for you, that's the nice thing about symbolism en themes not getting pushed right in your face, but subtly gets referred to :)
great music great film and of course a lovely video thank you
One of the best movies ever. Because of that I visited Bruge! Awesome city!
I hope to go there someday, for the same reason.
Manuel Romero Good luck :^)
Funnily enough, I saw this before visiting Europe, and wanted to go to Brugge, was amazing. Great place to visit.

its kinda tragic that its the only moment in the whole movie that he cares about living.

I know they were made for a movie but the fact that some of these songs aren't longer is a crime against humanity.
