Facts. I watched it when it first came out and to this very day, I've NEVER been able to get the main theme out of my head. Matter of fact, it was the very first song I tried to figure out when I first started teaching myself to play piano by ear
It's great and pretty flawless but compared to other movies such as 2001 a space odissy it pales in comparaison because of it's inferior nature. It's execution is great but it stays a comedy action movie in the end. Nothing wrong with that but... number one come on man!
and i have watched this movie so many times still wanna watch it.. This movie is so sad yet i have heard people say its funny. This is just a beautiful movie!
@@nicholasheilig3694 this movie is not your typical action comedy, it's tragicomedy and also it's so poetic especially in its ending monologue. In Bruges is so incredibly written and full of memorable and interesting characters.
I know this is a year old, but the longer, sustained notes are probably a bassoon, possibly even a contrabassoon. The shorter "duh Duh" sounds like a bass clarinet.

The soundtrack of this movie is severly underrated, just like the movie itself

2:36 - 4:44 --> "Shootout Part 1", my favorite. And btw, this is my Top 1 Favorite movie, and I have watched A LOT of movies in my life.

Good stuff, mate.
Although, these weren't THE BEST songs in the movie. These songs, as well as the Prologue & Medieval Waters are the best.
Love it - thanks for posting Brenda. Anyone know the name of the instrument that comes in at 1.22. The deep brass sound.
