  • One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says the Australian government’s approach to immigration is “so wrong”.
“Immigration should be in a managed way, bringing people into the country that will assimilate into our society,” Ms Hanson told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
Ms Hanson said the amount of people migrating to Australia is currently “unsustainable”.
“It doesn’t make any sense to me whatsoever … we don’t have the infrastructure that we need to provide for these people.”
There are warnings that surges in immigration levels will push up inflation in Australia.

It isn't going to stop as long as the majority of Australians keep voting for the same Big Australia candidates election after election. They'll whine about the situation....endlessly and give comments such as your own(which I agree with 100 percent) the thumbs up. But few of them will.actually do anything on election day to bring about change. They want to keep voting for the major parties but expect different results.

Once upon a time it did when Australia made their own cars, white goods, electronics, etc now look at what inflation does makes our labour rates unsustainable. Shame on the government for taking down tariffs and shafting Australian manufacturing. Once it’s gone we also lose engineering skills. Agree with basics of Pauline's points. Stop immigration as it's way out of control. (Some of our immigrants are parading in the streets acting and shouting in very unAustralian ways these past two or so weeks. If people come here they need to adopt our values which have always been Judeo-Christian in foundation. ) We don't have enough water, doctors, hospitals, homes and other essentials for our population. The problem with mass migration is simple. There is no time to build the required infrastructure and housing. When a population grows from the citizens, a government can clearly see how many schools, hospitals, houses etc will be required. When you import, you need those things NOW, which is not possible and creates a reduction in living standards.

I am not usually a Pauline Hanson fan but on this subject she is 100% spot on. The probelm is that the more immigration that is allowed the harder it will be to cut it back to a sustainable number because the lobby for increasing immigration will grow even louder with those coming in. The western world is its own worst enemy allowing waves of people from the 3rd world to come resulting in the standard of living decreasing for those already here. The chances of my children or grand children ever owning their own home is becoming more and more unrealistic. Allowing foreigners to buy up Australian property is ridiculous and only in the interest of greedy governments and investors trying to cash in on an already overinflated market. I would love to see Australians try and buy property in places like China. One of the worst culprits for driving the immigrtaion numbers through the roof is an education industry whose only real interest is making money by charging foreign students exhorbitent fees, I believe there is something like 370000 here this year and it is going to increase. Get rid of Albanese and his left wing government Labor have always believed in the big Australia policy they are just careful not to publicise it too much as they know the backlash that they will get from the voters. We need some immigration but not this uncontrolled free for all that is happening now....I cant believe that we spend so much money on our defence but then throw the borders open to be over run without a fight.

Fixed quotas for immigration sources will keep us multicultural and not dominated by one ethnicity (or the most opportunistic). This is what we all want a balanced, unbiased and united society, this will never happen when you flood the country with any one demographic and will only lead to internal resentment and unfair stereotyping of new migrants.
